I have been doing pest inspections for nearly yearsA pest inspection report should reflect the conditions of the home that are of concern for a real estate transactionThis report is the only means to communicate to whoever is involved in this property transfer that possible damage (no matter what caused it) is thereAfter responding to the customer request to change my report, on Friday, August 5, 2016,called the office of the Indiana State Chemist and spoke with Mr [redacted] He agreed with me that structural damage or concerns from moisture should be reported in section V of the reportI then revised my report and mailed it to the customer with a full refund check of $75.00, (see attached copies)As you can see in the e-mail, 8/3/at 3:pm, I told the customer that it would best for him to hire someone else to do & write the pest inspection the way he wanted it to readI felt it was best for all concerned that we not do business togetherThe customer refused to give us his credit card information for his refund so we mailed him a check for the fees paid I feel we have gone above & beyond trying to make this person happyPest inspections are difficult situationsCustomers ordering pest inspection reports don't always receive the information on the report they expectSometimes people do misunderstand services and it is best after trying to resolve issues to just refund their moneyIncluded in the response is all correspondence we have had with the customerIf you have further questions, feel free to contact meThank you, Robert [redacted] , President

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] I received Mr. [redacted]'s letter. It is good to see he is beginning to see the error of service since he did somewhat revise the report. Although, as you will see in the attachments, that the Administrator within this division of the Office of the Indiana State Chemist also does not agree with placing the comments about possible moisture damage on this particular report that was done. With the amount of years experience Mr.[redacted] claims, I honestly don't understand how he doesn't understand how much of a rude display of misinformed service this is It has stalled my ability and motivation to sell my house due to waiting to for this report and service to be corrected.

After responding to the customer request to change my report, on Friday, August 5, 2016,1 called the office of the Indiana State Chemist and spoke with Mr. [redacted]. He agreed with me that structural damage or concerns from moisture should be reported in section V of the report. I then revised my report and mailed it to the customer with a full refund check of $75.00, (see attached copies). As you can see in the e-mail, 8/3/16 at 3:39 pm, I told the customer that it would best for him to hire someone else to do & write the pest inspection the way he wanted it to read. I felt it was best for all concerned that we not do business together. The customer refused to give us his credit card information for his refund so we mailed him a check for the fees paid. 
I feel we have gone above & beyond trying to make this person happy. Pest inspections are difficult situations. Customers ordering pest inspection reports don't always receive the information on the report they expect. Sometimes people do misunderstand services and it is best after trying to resolve issues to just refund their money. Included in the response is all correspondence we have had with the customer.
