They will not file the report or remove the violation they created until they finish with the settlement with NYC. I cannot close on the sale of the building until violation is cleared. I have paid the fine, in order to close with sale of the building. I will be sending them my receipt for the fine of $1000. I am hoping to get that refunded, if not I will have to go to court to request a refund of the fine, the price of the inspection and the filing fee for the inspection.here is their response:[redacted]

Good Morning,Once we received the complaint that [redacted] filed I immediately made contact with her. I explained to her that there were a high number of violations issued and the process of clearing has been taking longer then anticipated. I was able to inform her that...

on April **, 2015 the payment was going to be paid to the Department of Building and once it was completed I would contact her by telephone. The payment was completed on April **, 2015. I telephoned [redacted] at the phone number she provided and left a message with the woman who answered her phone. I also emailed [redacted] a PDF copy of receipt of payment.Today, April **, 2015 I mailed [redacted] a certified letter through the [redacted] containing the original receipt we received from the Department of Buildings. That letter is attached.[redacted] acknowledged my email I sent her on April [redacted].

Review: On April **, 2014, the [redacted] Department of Buildings issued a violation against [redacted] for failure to submit a completed Boiler Inspection report by the deadline. On July *, 2014, [redacted] sent a fax to ###-###-####, a [redacted]/CitySpec fax number notifying the company of the violation. City Spec responded to the July [redacted] correspondence on August **, 2014. The August ** letter acknowledged receipt of the July [redacted] correspondence and the violations issued to [redacted] by the Department of Buildings. The letter states that “[d]ue to high volume of Inquiries please be patient while we research each violation.”

The next correspondence with City Spec took place on December **, 2014 when we contacted City Spec regarding the status of the violation and to determine what steps have been taken to address the violation since notice of the violation on July *, 2014. At this point, one hundred and seventy-fives (175) dates have passed since the original correspondence on July [redacted] regarding the 2012 Boiler Inspection Violation. On January *, 2014 City Spec responded stating they were unsuccessful to address the issue and have hired counsel in order to assist them with the boiler violations.

Since the January correspondence from City Spec, I once again did not hear from City Spec for another eighty-seven (87) days. Any response that City Spec has made by one of their representative, including an attorney on April [redacted], has been made as a result of an inquiry that I have initiated solely. I have attached a copy of all correspondences herein.Desired Settlement: I currently have the property for sale. The fact that there is a pending violation that is due and pending to be resolved prevents me from selling the property without any encumbrances and contingencies. I would very much like this issue to be resolved on priority level because this issue has been pending for 175 days.

Review: Cityspec failed to perform duties of a contract/agreement, resulting in inferior and improper service.

Also contacting them to resolve the issue I received inappropriate and deceitful conduct.

Although I paid for an inspection and filling for a 2012 Boiler Inspection, it is questionable if Cityspec perfomed an inspection, since they definitely didn’t file it.

On June **, 2014 I received a notice of violation from the Department of Building for failure to file a boiler inspection, concerning inspection year 2012, and contacted CitySpec immediately.

I was asked to email the violation and it would be taken care of as soon as possible; they told me that it will not take more than 90 days.

Calling back at the end of September more than 90 plus days, the violation had not been taken care of. After that I was given the run around until the end of December, where I would call on an end of week basis, supposedly after the company attorneys would take care of the matter.

Seeing that nothing was accomplished on their part I went to DOB in January where they informed me that matters like this are clear cut; if proof can be provided that a inspection notice was sent the violation gets removed, if not, it stands.

Calling back CitySpec again I asked them for the proof they were sending DOB in order for the violation to be dismissed. I was told that they will get it together and email it to me.

Unfortunately until February I had not received any email or letter from them, and the violation still stood ($1,000fine).

So I visited their office at the end of February and was asked to email them the information once more, and the appropriate department will take care of the matter as immediately by even making the vice president aware of the matter.

Unfortunately until today mid-April the violation still stands, they do not reply to my emails regardless of the recipient and when I call they keep transferring me to the person handling the matter, only for me to leave multiple messages without ever anyone returning my phone call.

I ask that Cityspec takes care of this matter as soon as possible either by removing the violation or paying the fine.Desired Settlement: Payment of fine/violation

Review: This company performed the boiler inspection for 2012 and were paid in full for the services which include a $30 filling fee for the city. I received a letter from NYC that this inspection hasn't been filed for 2012 and I will start getting penalties because of this. After speaking to Bianca and Robert who were cooperative in finding out that the inspections was not filed because of their clerical mistake. They are awaiting a settlement with NYC. I sent them all the info on the violation in June of 2014 and never heard from them. I am selling the bldg. and closing the end of this month (Oct 2015) and need this violation cleared. Kevin says he will take it up with the President of the company but can't promise anything. He said he will get back to me on Tuesday, Oct ** with an answer if they will take care of it or not! I need the violation cleared, they were paid to do the inspection and file it in a timely manner. If there is a fine, they need to pay it, not me.Desired Settlement: To have the violation paid/removed immediately. I cannot wait until next year for this to be resolved.

Review: I hired CitySpec to perform my annual boiler inspection for TWO separate property in 2012. I paid them in full for the services which include a $30 filling fee for NYC. However, in June of this year, I received a letter of violation from NYC stating that the inspection has not been filed and that I have to pay a violation fee of $2000 ($1000 for each property). I immediately called CitySpec and they told me they will take care of it within 60 to 90 days. However, that time frame has passed and nothing has been done. I called CitySpec again and spoke with [redacted] who was not cooperative. I kept calling and spoke with [redacted] who argued with me and was very unhelpful. It has now been six months and I have called this company several times and they have not been cooperative at all. I have called the NYC Department of building and they told me this company never filed my inspection report and that they have received multiple calls from the public with the same issue from this same company. I do not know what to do. CitySpec took my money and never completed the full service of filing my inspection report with NYC, and now I have a huge violation fee of $2000. This is completely unfair and absolutely no fault of my own.Desired Settlement: I want either CitySpec to pay the violation fee of $2000 OR provide me with proof that BOTH of my inspections for the year 2012 were filed correctly with NYC and paid for on time
