Dear [redacted]:
In response to a complaint entered by our valued customer, [redacted], we have documentation which reflects the Buyer's Order, Buyer's Guide, WE OWE, Warranty Waiver, and Bounced Checks.
We at City to City Auto Sales are committed to providing excellent service, a knowledgable and professional sales staff, a financing service for everyone, and a quality dependable product. Our unique marketing position allows us to provide our customers with a "Guaranteed Financing"  Program that benefits customers who have less than perfect credit. Instead of resorting to "buy here pay here" purchasing, our customers have an opportunity to establish credit while owing a new vehicle. We pride ourselve on our reputation in the community and the repeat and referral business in which it generates. This is how we came to know [redacted]. All of our retail vehicle are sold with a 30 day/1,000 mile warranty on the engine and transmission's internal lubricated parts. This warranty is provided with the customer paying a $250 deductible for covered repairs. Extended service plans are offered and available for all of our vehicles.
On 12/27/2013, [redacted] selected, test drove, and agreed on price, payment, and terms for the [redacted] that he purchased from City to City Auto Sales. Prior to finalizing his transaction, he was aware that he was purchasing a vehicle with 185,855 miles on the odometer, that the check engine light was on, and the warranty that we provide with his purchase would cover engine or transmission failure. With all these items addressed, [redacted] was offered the opportunity to purchase an Extended Warranty provided by [redacted] which he respectfully declined.
The agreements that were made between [redacted] and City to City Auto Sales were as followed.
Free diagnostic on the "Check Engine" light- vehicle sent to [redacted] on Williamsburg Rd. Informed customer of service needed (tune up). Customer declined.
Clean for delivery- vehicle was washed and vacuumed at City to City Auto Sales the following week.
[redacted] downpayment on vehicle- [redacted] wrote several bad checks. His full downpayment has yet to be received. Collection actions to follow.
Although we are not perfect, we are willing to consider constructive advice to improve our people, product, and process. It is with the previous advice that we have implemented the documentation of any and all promises made to customers on paper. Please consider that evidence to be sufficient in the conclusion of this complaint. We would certainly expect [redacted] to fulfill his obligation to pay the full balance of his downpayment. As we have fulfilled our obligation under the contracts in which we singed.
Please feel free to contact us at [redacted] to discuss this matter further.
Sincerely,
[redacted], General Manager

I saw the dealership City to City before and a particular vehicle took my eye so I decided to stop by. I had every intention of just looking, not purchasing. They were busy when I arrived but I was in no hurry. My only intention was to look. I was greeted and asked if I needed help by each employee that I came in contact with. Let me say, there was no sales pitch, or pressure into purchasing the vehicle. It was not something that I needed as I had a car that was paid for.
I was treated like a lady and with much respect. All of my questions were answered. I did not get that feeling we women usually get when we feel we are being taken advantage of. This is usually because a male spouse or significant other has not accompanied us on such endeavors. Each person had a part in the sale. Anthony explained the process, paperwork and walked me through the start of the process. One gentleman was the finance guru and another sealed the deal with signing the paperwork and appraised my car. Every aspect was explained and I felt informed. They took my car as a trade on the spot. They handled everything concerning the transaction as well as with transferring tags concerning [redacted]. I would highly recommend them to family, friends and business associates. My experience was best in class!

Review: My experience here at city to city auto sales was not what I expected. I was referred to this dealer as they would be able to work with me in my time of need. They did provide a car but beyond that the service and agreements are terrible. I would not recommend that anyone go to this dealer. My car has problems that city to city should have fixed before letting someone purchase the car. There are numerous problems that they did not fix and I was advised that it would be. This is the reason that I continued to purchase this vehicle. When I asked about what would be done, they offered to fix it but when I got it back it still had some of the same problems with it.

The issues with my truck are (before and after repair):

1. check engine light is on. (went back to fix that and was told that it is sensor and that I would need to fix it and it was outside of the service that they provide)

2. The brakes are going bad.

3. There was a major leak in the water pump

4. The car need minor tune up issues that needed to be fix.

5. The side mirrors and cracked in half on the passager side and you cannot see to good out of the mirror on the driver’s side(I was advised that this was going to be fixed).

All of these problems should have been fixed prior to this truck going on the lot or letting a customer come and purchase the truck. When I asked about getting the items fixed, they advised that they only were responsible for some of the work and that the rest was up to me. There service was not what you expect when you go to a dealer. When you are purchasing a car, you want to walk off the lot with a car that does not need to be fixed as hint the reason why you are going to a dealer. used or not! I had to go get the water pump fixed as I still needed a car to drive my family around in and found a mechanic with very Knowledgeable experience with working on vehicles and come to find out that this same mechanic was used to seeing a lot of city to city cars that needed repair right after the customer brought them. This mechanic also worked with city to city at some point and was advised to do under the table things to the car so that city to city can just put it on the lot to sale and get the money from the customer. We were also advised that someone at city to city advised the mechanic to turn off sensor lights on cars that needed some repair in order to sale them. This mechanic then stopped because city to city advised that they wanted to fix to much on the cars? (umm..sounds fishy) This is a rep off!!

City to City has put my family in danger and as well as others as they are putting vehicles out for sale that are not up to par with the standards that are needed. City to city has put my family in danger as we have a car that has the engine light on and could be a potential risk for fire, or malfunction. With doing half way jobs and putting customers at risk, city to city has not given me any reason to refer anyone to them for business. Not to mention that they are extremely over pricing their cars to sale over the [redacted] value and some have problems with them. I have heard numerous people since buying this car complain that they have had problems with the car they have purchased from city to city.

Save your time and money and do your research.Desired Settlement: sales cars tha are worthy of selling and has the corrected repairs that are needed prior to selling the cars.
