In reviewing the case provided, I have found that Ms*** received a disconnect
notice due May 25, requiring a payment of $to avoid interruption in serviceMs*** contacted CWLP on May 22, and requested to make a payment of $on June 9, (total balance due)
I contacted *** and found that Ms*** did have an appointment on June 23, and was denied the assistance because the disconnect notice had been paid and no longer left Ms*** in jeopardy of being disconnected
A resolution for Ms*** unfortunate situation is to contact *** again for an appointment with *** *** (the case worker she was previously denied)Currently Ms*** has a disconnect notice for $due June 26, I did confirm with *** (another employee with *** since *** is off) that Ms*** being denied prior will not affect her receiving future assistanceI also confirmed *** will only help with the disconnect notice amount, nothing more
I would be happy to assist Ms*** by faxing a copy of the disconnect notice to *** if she requests

I do not accept CWLPs responseThe issue in question was that *** will pay past due balances or balances to avoid disconnection up to $only once per yearThe client DOES NOT have to make a payment with the utility in order to receive services from ***At the time I called CWLP (May 22), my past due amount was $in which *** would have paidHowever, I was given information by the CWLP rep that I had to pay $($plus tax) in order to get my services out of disconnect status, BEFORE *** would help meWhen I went to ***, they told me that was incorrect and they would have paid the entire past due balance of $Since I paid the $49.98, *** would only pay $which was the past due balance at that time
So, therefore, CWLP put me in a position that I could not get the full service I desperately needed from ***, because I was given information that violated fair practices of the Illinois consumer protection actI was not denied payment at *** as the business responder said, *** was only going to pay $instead of that was past due at the timeI declined the payment, because I can only get help once a yearI opted to file a complaint with Revdex.com instead
At this time, my bill is currently past due by $However, I was sent a FINAL DISCONNECT NOTICE of $due on July 24th which is the exact day deadline date for this Revdex.com responseSo, now I am also adding retaliation to my complaintI believe I would not have gotten this notice for an old past due amount due on the Revdex.com response deadline, if I had not filed this Revdex.com complaint
Because, *** will pay the past due amount of $(or any past due amount up to $400) not just $81.04, I would need a statement and concurrence from CWLP that my past due amount is actually $*** will call to verify the exact amount even if I bring in a statement
If I had not been given that information from CWLP, my bill would have been paid in full by nowI am disabled and on a limited incomeThis problem is causing me undue financial and emotional stress
There is no reason for CWLP to be causing conflict with my getting the entire amount allowable from this agencyThey should not give out any misleading information regarding the requirements of any outside agencyThis was wrong and it cause me to have a delay in getting services and for me to get less than I could get to help me
Now, they are trying to force *** to pay only $which is not the correct past due amount at this time
