City Wide Towing

We have received the complaint with ID *** Citywide Towing is a contractor for the City of Milwaukee Tow LotWhen the vehicles are dispatched to us we are not given the reason
whey the vehicle is being towed except for it being illegally parked We tow the vehicles to the City of Milwaukee Tow Lot, and the charges are paid to the Tow Lot and not our company We would also need more information to determine if our company towed this particular vehicle, as we are one of two contractors that tow for the City of Milwaukee

"The following provision shall apply to any towing operator..."The maximum towing rates are applicable to all private companies, not only police. Towing companies do not have to compete with other towing companies on price for storage because the car owners whose vehicles were towed pay their feesIt does not make sense that they can charge any fee without limit because the car owners have no choice but to pay to get their car backConsumers need laws such as these listed in the *** *** website for protection from unfair price gouging.

The fee schedule the complaintant responded to is for police towing onlyThe police department does not regulate Private Parking IssuesThe fees have been posted on the property in question for the past eight yearsThe owner had been sent a letter by the management that they would

A  dmv transfer was started on 04-01-16, car was released on 04-02-16. I can not release a vehicle that was already released, if this was in fact a crime, as you suggest, the police would have been happy to take a stolen report, they are not too busy, that is what they do. My business...

practices comply with the law,copies of all records pertaining to this transaction, including whom released to , and dmv transfer are on file, and available to law enforcement immediately upon request.

I am rejecting this response because:Not ONLY have they released vehicle without proper VERIFICATION PROCEDURES,NOW THEY are in addition making up falsehoods that I said???NOT ONLY did I NOT state STOCKTON police department came to my residence and took my complaint AND advice me of MY options,,WHICH I have thoroughly proceeded with.Report your business to the Revdex.com,GO to DMV. And file Civil lawsuit.ALL due to your POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES.I have also had to provide a DEATH certificate of my DEARLY departed [redacted] my domestic partner of 10yrs+ WHO DIED on 02-12-2014 and PROVE that MY MOTHER [redacted] who RESIDES with ME IS very MUCH ALIVE..HOW YOU RELEASE VEHICLE,THEN send notification to MY address THAT YOU have it???And 2 DAYS later I RECEIVE a notice that you have placed a lien on vehicle,,IS quite frankly beyond ME..Furthermore I am STILL maintaining is due to your POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES, AND improperly notification of the verification procedure your business procedures that have caused ALL this GRIEF UNNECESSARILY

Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience with this tow company. Through State Farm I called their roadside service. My teen daughter was stranded in the drive through at a fast food restaurant. I was unable to get there as I was not in town. SF sent a tow truck out that would take 1 1/2 to 2 hours to tend to her. When the tow company called to confirm the times, I informed him out of curtesy that I was sending some one to look at it and move the truck. He told me that he would cancel the tow if I did that. I asked why, he told me that was their policy, and that he was coming "all the way" from Stockton Ca. Which is only 20 minutes from here. ?? I then told him I would cancel that since I needed to get her truck out of there and home. He told me "No you won't, I don't believe you". I said that yes I would. Continuing to again tell me I was basically lying and he was canceling the tow, have a good night and hung up. So in turn left my kid out until 9:30pm until I could get someone to retrieve her and the vehicle.

When I called to express my concerns, I'm sure it was the same man and still didn't care and told me he wasn't concerned who I complained to and that it was their policy.

Review: Received notification of 92 Mercedes Benz 4 door sedan went to business to inquire about the vehicle WAS told by the owner [redacted],that vehicle WAS picked up.when I asked how can that be when I had the title,stated DMV issues titles any one can get titles.Remaining calm I and my brother [redacted] and nephew walked out.This was April 6 2016 Wednesday,thinking about what to do next about the issue On Friday April 8,2016 received yet another notice that a lien had been issued on said vehicle.Thier dishonest business practices on what WAS stated was Falsehood. Which is ver upsetting. STOCKTON police department has far TO many crimes to handle to also handle complaints WITH BUSINESSES practices is discussing.BUT that's what I was forced to do so Friday filed a complaint WHO took awhile being Friday night, with officer [redacted] of the STOCKTON police department. He spoke to my MOTHER who has a BAD heart,MYSELF and my brother and NEPHEW..When all I believe should have been truthful and not dishonest..Desired Settlement: To release vehicle without storage fees and cancel lien filed on vehicle.

Again this is not a consumer of ours. She was not on the title, her mother was. She also never paid a dollar to this business. I will no longer be responding back this complaint.

Review: The reason for the complaint is because they are the business that has towed my vehicle and they never mailed me a lien sale stop form to stop the lien and give me the opportunity to get my car back or allow anyone I sent with a written letter I signed and gave permission to retrieve all of my personal belongings in the car.

The car was in my name and my mother's as a co-signer.Desired Settlement: Allow my sister or my mother to come retrieve all my belongings.

We towed this vehicle after it was involved in a pursuit, all proper notices were sent, (see enclosed certificate of mailing) Vehicle has been disposed of .

Leinholder viewed vehicle and declinsed to pick up due to crash damage. Next time when police attempt to stop him, I suggest he obey the law and this won't again. Unlike this consumer, we obeyed all laws!

Review: I bought this vehicle on 05/1/15When I called CityWide, he told me I can come look at this car When I got there, he is rushing me he said he was closing, he could have told me to come another dayAnyway I bought the vehicle, he told me to come back on Monday to finish the paperworkOn 5/2/15 The car started with problems it wouldnt start, went it did start, it would die out, I would have to push the car, then get someone to jump me, you have to keep starting it until it starts.On 5/3/15 The car Wouldn't start. I kept trying to start, then the car caught fire in the parking lot I put the fire out, and left the car there.Monday morning 5/3/15, I came to the shop were I got the car at, and told him what happened, he told me to get the car to his shop. I told him I was not going to, cause I was scared to cause of the fire and the problems in it, he said he could do nothing until the car got there, and would not tow the vehicle,For 3 day he ran me around on the bus. I finally towed the car to his shop, for him to tell me he cant and wont do nothing.I then called DMV to get a little history on the car, I was told than, the car has back fees due in the amt of sum $400.00, I paid $899.00 already now the car doesnt run, I told the owner of the shop, he said he had told me , and he didntI opened the trunck, the trunck is full of waterthe car is in my drive way parked it doesnt star, I dont know whats wrong with it. and I didn't register it, cause I dont have the moneyI was sold a lemon, and the owner knew about it, he took advantage of two women. Me and my mom. Knowing we wouldnt no too much about the car.Desired Settlement: I want my money bak. I want have nothing to do with tis car and the problems its having. I don't know whats the problem. I am sure it will have problems with smog too.The car is here, and he can come take it. he told me nothing about as is, but wrote it on the transferthank you
