not our policy, it is the City of Richmond's. However, we do not normally respond to towing vehicles without warning or citation. In this instance, the person parked their vehicle without issuing payment. It should be noted that there is a pay station on the lot that accepts cash and credit cards. The customer did not attempt to pay via the pay station. We were also not contacted that the pay by phone service was displaying inaccurate information. I cannot verify whether or not this was the case. Attempting to use the application earlier today, it worked properly. it is incorrect that we towed the vehicle after only one citation. We have cited the vehicle three times for failing to pay the daily rate. There was no attempt by the customer to appeal or pay the citations before the order was given to tow. I have personally spoken with the customer over questions about our parking wait list. She has displayed a belligerent attitude to myself as well as my employees. I am not surprised that she has decided to issue a Revdex.com complaint. I received a citation from this company on Sunday, November 23, 2014. The citation noted that $9 instead of $13 could be paid if the citation was paid by November 30, 2014.
On November 30, 2014, I went to their online pay site ([redacted]) to pay my fine and it charged me $13 - not $9. Four dollars is not a lot of money, but I do expect a company to adhere to a policy they created.

Review: I got a parking ticket from this private parking lot company on 3/25/14. This parking lot has an honor box ($4 fee) which I paid. When I got back to my car I had a $20 ticket on my car (Ticket # [redacted]). When I called the company, they told me that I got the ticket because I also needed a permit in addition to paying the $4 honor box to park in the lot, but they suggested that I appeal the ticket online. I appealed the ticket online, and it was denied. In the denial, they stated that there is a "3 foot sign" stating that a permit is required. However, when I drove back to the parking lot to further investigate, this sign is facing Canal Street, but I entered the parking lot from 5th street where there is no sign. So indeed, I never did see a sign. Furthermore, I have never been to an honor box lot that also requires a permit, so there is no reason that I would just assume that I would need to additionally have a permit. Please help me resolve this matter.Desired Settlement: Accept my appeal of the parking ticket and waive the fine

Review: I park in CityParking's parking zone 518 Monday through Thursday as I work in the building the lot is adjacent to. Last week I received a parking ticket on October 16th because I forgot to pay for parking when I arrived at work because their app does not allow you to start paying until 10:00am so I couldn't do it when I arrived. I had not yet paid the parking ticket. Yesterday, I received a parking ticket because they ticketed before the parking app allows you to pay the daily rate (at 10:00am). I paid for parking right at 10:00am. When I went out to my car later I saw I had a ticket. I contacted CityParking yesterday and they said they would remove the violation.

Today, when I went outside at lunchtime my car was not there. CityParking informed me that I had 3 unpaid parking tickets and they towed my car. I asked them for a copy of their towing policy. They informed me that they DO NOT HAVE ONE. And they said they towed my car because I have 3 unpaid parking tickets. In reality I only have 1 - 1 they failed to actually remove it turns out, and 1 was issued today before the tow truck arrived leaving me no chance to pay it. The sign in the lot says that failure to pay will result in a ticket or boot. It says nothing about towing.

It is bad business to target someone's car and tow it after 1 unpaid parking ticket. It is also bad business to not have a towing policy as a company that solely exists to operate private parking lots.Desired Settlement: I would like CityParking to reimburse me for my towing expenses. I also believe they need to create a towing policy and have it clearly posted on their website. Finally, they need to fix the sign in their lot so that it says towing is a consequence of not paying for parking, not just a parking ticket or boot.

We have cited the vehicle three times for failing to pay the daily rate. There was no attempt by the customer to appeal or pay the citations before the order was given to tow. I have personally spoken with the customer over questions about our parking wait list. She has displayed a belligerent attitude to myself as well as my employees.
