Citywide Appliance Repairs Reviews (14)

[redacted] purchased a service agreement with Citywide Appliance Repairs in June,He has received quality service and has continued to use his agreement up until this pointHis last experience involved a part that was on back order with our contracted vendorsHis ability to purchase personally online, has no bearing on our contracted vendorsWe are always willing and open to discuss any issues that the customer may have to resolve any issues in our servicesHowever, by tampering with the appliance while it was under repair, [redacted] voided his warrantyIt is non refundable Thank you

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter will be resolved when we have received the refund They have promised numerous times to refund the money, but it never happens The most recent promise was that it would be sent on the last business day of May They are stalling and probably hoping that we will just go away But we have no intention of giving up on this matter and will take legal action against Citywide for the entire amount that was paid to them if they do not send the refund within a week of this response Sincerely, [redacted] [redacted]

Revdex.com: At this time, I have not been contacted by Citywide Appliance Repairs Incregarding complaint ID [redacted] Sincerely, [redacted]

On Tuesday 6/*/the customer called regarding an igniter repairThe Tech was dispatched and repaired the igniterThe customer called that evening stating that the repair was done, and the igniter was working, but once the tech had left the igniter had not come on right away, but that on his third try, it did and he had left a message for the tech, but now that is was working fine we could disregard the message and he would let us know if it did not continue to work properlyThe next call came from the customer on Friday morning and he explained he could now smell gas and the oven was not functioning well The customer was scheduled, then called back to say that he did not want to wait and he would call someone elseThe customer then asked for a refund, which was refused as he signed an acknowledgment that services are non refundable and that the repair was completed to his satisfactionAfter having his request for a refund denied, the customer called back to say that we had blown the circuit board to the ovenHad that been the case, the customer would not have had use of his appliance

[redacted] called 5/ [redacted] regarding her appointment on 5/ [redacted] concerned if a part ordered for her had been made, the part order was confirmed for her and she was told that when it arrived, she would be called and her repair would be scheduled asap, the tech told her to allow 3-business days for the part to arriveAt that the time she paid for her parts, she was alerted to the fact that parts, labor and service are non refundable [redacted] claims she called again on Thursday 5/ [redacted] and Friday [redacted] of last week, but did not receive a call back I apologized to her that she had not received a response regarding her call, as I was not in the office, the techs may not have been able to respond Also [redacted] did not take heed to the fact that the parts arrive in business days, and since she was seen on a Saturday, the probability of her part order being processed by our vendors would not have been until the [redacted] the earliest or the [redacted] the very latest and her part not due in our office until roughly the ** or [redacted] at the earliest due to the extended holiday weekendA vendor email would be sent to us to confirm the date of the estimated time of arrival [redacted] , also called today and whom clearly understood that the part had not arrived yet asked as a courtesy that a second phone call be made to explain this to [redacted] When [redacted] was reached she she told of her dissatisfaction and asked for a refund rather than working toward a resolutionShe was reminded that it is non refundableWe are happy to complete the repair for the customer but she has refused

RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved for now. They are scheduled to complete the repair 314. As to the home adviser, please look on the attached documents from previous response at the top of the page. There is a logo with Home Adviser certified and approved on it. Sincerely, [redacted]

It is unfortunate that [redacted] had a less than pleasant experienceShe was rescheduled due to her request that the tech come out to install the part she purchased, and the office was instructed to do so by her technicianOnce the tech arrived, he realized the part was not what was necessary for the repairThe part that the tech ordered was not available through our contracted vendors, which happens from time to timeHad it arrived and the tech found that it did not resolve the issues, Citywide would have taken on the expense and resolved the issue for the customerInstead, [redacted] hired another service provider, all the while being aware that parts and labor were non refundable No company is perfect, and as issues arise, we try to resolve them as quickly as possibleWe did extended [redacted] ***, credit to her account, which she may take advantage of at anytime

Revdex.com: At this time, I have not been contacted by Citywide Appliance Repairs Incregarding complaint ID [redacted] Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Labor was performed to diagnosis the problem with the applianceThis will be deducted from the amount paid by the customer Refunds are sent out in 4-weekswe understand that it has been slightly longerHer refund will be issued as soon as possibleThank you

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [Your Answer Here] Payment was made on December it is now February [redacted] well past 4-weeksWhat is so difficult about issuing about issuing a refund you had no problem cashing my check freight away and by the way I Would like to know your definition of labor Not one piece of equipment was taken apart for an estimate the repair man simply stood in front of the machine and said there's no power going to the machine and the main board needs to be replaced and for this you think you deserved $260.00? I would like the full amount returned to meIt was unprofessional of you to schedule an appointment and I took a day off from work to wait for you only to have you call and say you couldn't do the repair unless I moved the machine off of the washerYou should have been prepared when you scheduled the appointment for this inconvenience I SHOULD BE ENTITLED TO MY MONEY BACK In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: The response was false I have attached a copy of the web-page on the date that I made my complaint as well as today It is evident that they changed it since my complaint and still claim to be home advisor approved I also have a problem with the contract as 1, I was told I would have one e-mailed to me because all of the my information was taken on an I-pad and no paper copies were ever filled out 2- I never received a copy of the contract Also the fact that the repair has not been made would make me question the fact that I paid for a contract but the work was not completed in weeks when it was promised in one I was never and have never been called to follow up, the only responses I get are when I call them A technician was supposed to call, but never has I believe that the advertising, lack of communication and unfulfilled work is a breach in their part of the contract I never received I believe I deserve a full refund In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

We were unable to complete the repair for the customer and the customer has been told she will receive a refund, minus the laborThe customer will receive the refund as soon as possible Thank you

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: It truly is sad that this business keeps falsifying the events that happened that dayI was not "irate." I was told that the part was still on order and that they did not know when it was going to come inAgain, it is not hard to check on that information and that is all I wanted to knowI no longer wanted to do business with the company based on all of the reasons I have said in the previous statementI asked for a refund, which I am entitled to since no services took placeI was never told that the check I wrote that day was specifically for the part or for labor as [redacted] only took partial payment and left no receipt or contractAgain, and this is my point, I was never given a receipt or a contractMy money was taken and no part or service was ever renderedI have asked for a refundAnd the company has refusedWe can keep going back and forth, but in the end, I am a dissatisfied customer who wants their money back And, if you research this company, which I am sure Revdex.com has, they can see that there are multiple complaints with this company Note to Revdex.com: I do not want to keep emailing back and forth In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

[redacted] had a part that was on back order for a time, which of course was a an inconvenience to the customer and delayed her repairShe endeavored to order the part herself and asked Citywide to install the part she purchased when it arrivedOn the Tech's arrival, she was alerted that the board she ordered was incorrect and that the board the Tech ordered for her would arrive in 3-business days [redacted] then called someone else to complete the jobAs acknowledged by her signature of our terms and conditions, Service, Service Agreements, Parts/Electronics and Labor Fees may not be refundedShe will however receive a credit to her account for future use towards any future repairs
