I ordered my daughters birth certificate online and paid additional fees to have it delivered within 5-10 business days. The order was placed on Aug 24th 2015. After around 2 weeks of placing my order I called vital statistics to see if there was a problem. I found out that my order went through a 3rd party and that there was no order placed in my name nor in my daughters name. I emailed the company to get my order placed and to obtain a refund for the additional fee I paid for quick delivery. Someone emailed me asking me questions about my order and I responded. The next day I was informed that they had JUST placed my order and that I would need a email from Vital Statistics to confirm they had not received the order from there company (not sure why I was asked this when clearly they could see there was no order placed due to having just placed it??). I called Vital Statistics and obtained the email required and also re-ordered my daughters birth certificate directly through VS and received it in 2 business days (was also cheaper costing me only $60). Sent Civil Processing Bureau an email (only way to contact them) asking for a full refund. I have not yet heard back from them and that was days ago. I am asking for a full refund in the amount of $95. Also VS informed me that there is still no order in the system in my name nor my daughters name. They of course asked for proof that Vital Statistics has not received the request VS looking into it themselves! It is ridiculous that I need to investigate THEIR mistake in order to obtain my refund!!! Why am I contacting their partner to prove to them that they have not completed their job??? This has been the worst experience! Are they going to pay for my time? I am not an employee and my time is not free!!

I applied online for my marriage certificate not realizing it was through a third party, I was given a transaction number [redacted] on May 28, 2016 after completing my online application. Civil Processing Bureau charged my [redacted] $67 but didn't submit my application to Service Ontario. April 29, 2016 they charged my credit card $67; May 30, 2016 Service Ontario had not received my application. May 30, 2016 I called Civil Processing Bureau twice, leaving messages both times. May 31, 2016 and June 2, 2016 I called them again and both times was unable to leave messages because the voicemail box was full. Service Ontario had still not received my application as of June 2, 2016 and Civil Processing Bureau has not returned any of my callsDesired SettlementI would like a full refund of $67 credited to my [redacted] ASAPBusiness Response We are sorry about the inconvenience this has caused for Ms. [redacted]. No option to cancel or contact company to cancel order after no receipt or confirmation was available of transaction.Each number I found related to this website was no longer in service. I came to this website and entered personal information after a [redacted] search for the long form birth certificate required for children passports had this one at the top and looked government run. Filed an online application for a replacement copy of my Son's Birth certificate March 6th, 2016. I noticed an error at the last page that would not allow me to input his correct birthdate as to validate his credentials. I followed up on March 6th with customer service and let them know of the case ID number, and reported the issue. This was responded by an email from Customer service indicating they had acknowledged the issues and would return my call/email within 24/48 hours. I followed with a second email April 8th. Only to be told the application was never processed. Yet my fee's were never returned (to date). Desired SettlementProvide the document as requested back on March 6th or a full credit. Placed an order for a birth certificate and quickly realized that this was not a government site. I called the birth registry and they advised me that I had just placed an order with an agency and that I would not get my birth certificate within the 5 days that I had specified that I needed it. I called the same day as I had placed the order and left a msg that I wanted to cancel my order and also sent them an email that very day to cancel my order. They never replied, I sent them another email a few days after and then received an email stating that if I could provide them with details they would assist me. Its completely clear to me that they never had any intentions of refunding my money.Desired SettlementI want the money refunded to the credit card. We have not received the birth certificate.

I ordered a birth certificate copy on November 6, 2015. Delivery was supposed to be 25 business days. The charge or $147 was posted to my credit card on November 8, 2015. On December 1 (after receiving nothing) I requested a cancellation of the order and a full refund. Through numerous emails since, there is supposedly a case number [redacted] that is being worked on. I have emailed many times with [redacted], Customer Support at [redacted]@canadianbirthcertificate.com and '[redacted] and the reply is always that we are processing it. I have tried phoning 416-624-7926 and get a voice message saying to leave name & number, but the message box is always full. I purchased online what I thought was a Ontario birth certificate, for $120 that would be mailed to me in 10 business days. I believed that I was dealing with a [redacted] Ontario government site. I was wrong. When I tried to contact the companies printed email [redacted]. I was informed that no sur URL existed. I contacted [redacted] and had my account blocked and then cancelled. They will send me a new card. I have made several attempts to get a hold of this company through many different number's and have gotten any answer or response to my many call's & messages to contact me. On April 20, 2016 made a $110.00 [redacted] payment to the Civil Processing Bureau for a certified copy of my Marriage Licence to be delivered within 8-15 days. The fee was stated to be for a "rush" delivery. We ordered a birth certificate online with our credit card for our son as he is starting school this year. We waiting many months to give them plenty of time to send us a copy. We never received the birth certificate so we contacted the company 2 times VIA and online contacting form we found. We could find no numbers. We called the DMV and they told us nothing was ever issued for our son. We would just like our money back now. In early may I contacted CIVIL PROCESSING BUREAU [redacted] for a rush copy of my birth certificate. I gave my credit card # and paid the fees requested for a copy of the long form plus additional rush fee. After a week of receiving nothing, no contact, no emailed confirmation [redacted] I called the Nova scotia office directly to find out the status of my birth certificate. That's when I was told there was no record of the order and that I had likely not ordered it directly from the Canadian government site as I had thought. I tried to contact Civil Processing Bureau through phone and email and got no response. Their phone number is always busy and no one responds to the messages I was prompted to leave. I ended up reordering from Nova Scotia directly, paying additional [redacted] fees, and received my copy in very short time, and they were extremely helpful. [redacted] I was charged two fees to my credit card. One for $73.24 on May 3, and another on May 4 for $9.45 (presumably the "rush" fee). I again tried to contact CPB to cancel and ask for a refund, via the [redacted] phone number, and did leave another message asking for cancellation and refund. I purchased a copy of my son's birth certificate and was charged $62 on my M/C on Jan 28, 2016. I'm still waiting on it so I called the gov't office and they said nothing was sent to them. So far I've paid for an item that I haven't received and I tried calling Civil Processing and they won't answer the phone. It's voice box is full and the 800# is gives a busy tone. At this point, I just want a refund on my credit card for the total of $62. I will call the gov't number directly and order it from them. I ordered and paid for a birth certificate for my son on July 21st and this item has STILL not been received!!I have sent MULTIPLE emails to this company and at first I received replies but lately NOTHING. My son sent me the link and, stupidly, I didn't check it out first before ordering and thought it was a government site. The contact telephone number tries to get you to fill in a survey for a trip!! No point trying to get any sort of satisfaction there.Unfortunately, this company comes up at the top of the list when searching for birth certificate replacement.Desired SettlementI want my money refunded.
