Miss [redacted] came to the dealership on Nov 11 2016. She test drove the 2003 Buick Rendezvous with 185000 miles and she agreed to purchased it. At the time of the purchased, the vehicle was in an excellent condition that passed safety and emission done by an independent third party registered by the...

State of Utah. She stated in a multiple signed documents that she has completely and thoroughly checked the vehicle, she also refused the offer to take it to an independent mechanic to have the vehicle checked out prior to the purchase, she also stated that she will assume FULL RESPONSIBILITY for the vehicle, she understood that the vehicle is sold as is, she also agreed to bear the entire expense of repairing any defects that may exist, and she declined a warranty ( extended service contract) that was offer to her. No other promises were ever promised to Miss [redacted]. She was a capable adult who agreed and signed eleven times on multiple documents multiple times stating the facts above.  The transaction was done in a very transparent way. We are not sure which document she signed she didn't understand. Her boy friend called on 11-23-16 and started to yell calling us every derogatory names on the book. He kept asserting that we reset the computer. He doesn't understand that we can't just reset the computer so it passes emission. He was so rude and very abusive, we had to hang up on him.For the facts mentioned above, the settlement requested is denied. Thank you Cj's Premier Auto

Mr. [redacted] came to the dealership on 12/22/2016. We showed him several different vehicles. After he test drove a few different vehicle he chose the 1999 Dodge Durango with 2017003 miles on it. During the conversation he stated that he is a very good mechanic. At the time he purchased the...

Durango, it has passed safety and emission done by a third independent party. It was in an excellent shape and that is why he bought it. He is a mechanic and he knew it was a nice car. He also has agreed in signed documents the following:1. He stated that he has checked the vehicle completely and thoroughly. 2. He stated that he declined the offer of having the vehicle checked independently. 3. He state he understand fully that the vehicle he purchased is sold to him AS IS WHERE IS. 4. He also stated that he understand there is absolutely no expressed or implied warranty. 5. He also stated that he will assume full responsibility for the vehicle he just purchased. 6. He also stated that he understand that all sales are final. 7. He also stated that he will bear the entire expense of repairing or correcting any defects that presently exist and/or may occur. 8. He declined, again in a signed document,  the offer an extended service contract ( warranty) and again he stated that he will the responsibility for the full cost of any repairs. 9. He again stated, agreed and signed the federally required AS IS. Copies of the documents are enclosed. We have done everything transparently and straight forward in black and white documented by multiple signatures signed by Mr [redacted]. Not sure what Mr [redacted] has done to the car after it left our lot.Due to the documented facts above and the way we way we have been treated by Mr [redacted], his demand has been denied.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:First the dates you are indicating are incorrect. I did not have my vehicle for over a week before issues arose. I had it LESS THAN 24 hours. Secondly, to respond to this situation with the degree of pure disrepect you have demonstrated is astounding. To first go out of your way to insult me by intentionally ignoring my salutation of MRS. as in married. Not Miss and not boyfriend. All while saying if you are stupid enough to buy my piece of junk car that is on your problem. You signed a paper. Yes, I signed a document stating that I was getting a vehicle as is that PASSES emissions and inspections under Utah State law. I believe the confusion here is entirely your own. You somehow believe that you are allowed to SCAM honest hard working people. You believe that it is not your responsibility to be an honest person who doesn't do shady stuff to get a car to pass safety and emissions. A vehicle that properly passed emisions and inspections should NOT have a check engine light come up LESS than 24 hours after leaving your lot.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I m sorry to have received a complaint such as this.  Prior to purchasing the vehicle, Ms. [redacted] took the vehicle to her mechanic or was given plenty of opportunity to do so. As she stated, she has spent over $500.00 to make sure the car was in good shape. The car was more than "in a good...

shape". The vehicle was in an excellent shape prior to Ms [redacted] took possession. The vehicle passed safety inspections ( which is no longer required by the state of Utah to register the vehicle) and also it passed emission test. Both inspections were done independent third party.Ms [redacted] claims about "some repair work had been done to temporarily prolong the life of the vehicle" is completely outrageous, unfounded lies and self serving statement. According to our record, there has no work performed by us whatsoever. NONE. Ms. [redacted] has advised us she will obtain legal counsel. Pending the appointed counsel, we only will comment and apply the facts as per Ms [redacted] signed agreements:1. Ms [redacted] stated that she has completely checked the vehicle.2. Ms. [redacted] stated that she has completely checked the vehicle by an independent third party.3. Ms. [redacted] stated she understood that she is assuming full and total responsibility for the vehicle.4. Ms. [redacted] stated she understood she bought the vehicle AS IS.5. Ms. [redacted] stated she understood that the vehicle is sold with no either express or implied warranty.6. Ms. [redacted] stated she will bear the entire expense of repairing or correcting any defects that presently exist and/or may occur.7. Ms. [redacted] declined the offer to purchase service contract that may cover engine catastrophic failure.Due to Ms. [redacted] own actions of signed statement above, spreading lies all over the internet, threats, and abusive language among others, no refund or any other compensation will be issued.

Miss [redacted] came to the dealership on 11.17.16. She purchased 2004 Toyota 4runner. At the time of the purchase, the Toyota 4Runner passed safety and emission done by third party certified by the State of Utah. It was in excellent shape. Miss [redacted] stated in a multiple signed documents by her...

multiple times that she has checked the vehicle completely and thoroughly. She refused our offer, in a signed document, to have it checked by her own mechanic prior to the purchase. She understood and signed multiple documents stating that she bought the car AS IS. She was offered an extended service contract and she declined it. She also stated, again in a signed document by her, that she will assume a full responsibility for the vehicle she just purchased. She even went further in a signed documents stating that she agrees to bear the entire expense of repairing any defects that may presently exist. She stated in our conversations that she would spread lies about us if she can't get her ways. She also stated that she would continue to give us a bad reviews until she gets her way. Her 16 years old son also stated to us that he was speeding in the rain to see if he could make the car skipped. We are not aware about the shops we used have history of passing an unsafe cars or have serious issues. They are all regulated by the State of Utah. We are also not aware of any current complaint by the Motor Vehicle Enforcement as she stated. Trust me, I would know if there is a complaint. Motor Vehicle enforcement will shut us down in a heart beat if we were to do anything wrong to the public. Of course it is easier to blame the shop or us when she has a buyer remorse. We have done exactly what she requested of us in a very transparent manner and we have registered the vehicle.Based on the facts above and the way Miss [redacted] attempts to spread lies about us and the shops we use without any hard evidence, the request for the refund is declined.Sincerely,Cj's Premier Auto

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The business made no attempt to solve the issue. The issues with the car that caused it to fail were pre-existing prior to my purchase and I believe that the results were fraudulent.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
