We addressed the Customer [redacted] questions several times, and he was called again today,March 15, The customer was offered the refund of the $that was paid to CK Appliance for thediagnoses of the washing machineThe customer denied that option. The unit was checked over and was found to not be working properly when we diagnosed the unitTheunit did not indicate there was an issue with water and it was observed the machine would not spinwhen the timer was put into the spin modeThe valve was not humming when the timer was set to fillthe tubOnce checking over the valve, it was found that the valve wasn't receiving voltage to fill thewasherIt was found that the timer wasn't sending the voltage to the valve in order to fill the tubIf thepipes were frozen or not during diagnoses, it would not have affected the diagnoses leading to the timerbeing badWe are not a plumbing service and do not check water pressureThe pipes therefore couldhave frozen due to the unit not being able to run properly and not being able to call for waterIf theunit's water valve was receiving the correct voltage then the water lines would have been checked onthe spot to make sure at least some water was flowing through the hoses. When we discussed this with [redacted] on March 15, again and the customer did not requestany money or any reimbursement directlyHowever, the customer is having his $returned to him forhis inconvenience

Chris called from the business stated that CK Appliance received a phone call from Mr*** requesting a diagnosis over the phoneA diagnose cant be given over the phone, the only way a diagnose can be given is by going out to the location and looking at the unit. When CK Appliance goes out
to look at some a diagnostic fee is charged in the amount of $**. On October 13, CK Appliance went out to Mr***'s home to look at the ** washerUpon looking at the washer it was found that the motor and the blower wheel needed to be replacedTo replace both parts it would cost $*** that is the amount charged for the entire jobCK Appliance does not charge per hourMr*** signed the document stating the business could move forward with the repair but was changing a lot of the things on the contract to his own likingMr*** denied the repairsThe only Mr*** was charged for was the diagnostic nothing more

I submitted a request for a quote for microwave installation through their website, and at that time I provided some details on what needed to be done All of the things I cited fell under a standard installation for a microwave going into an area above an oven under a recessed cabinet Anyone installing in this location would need to perform those steps I assumed the company already knew that and I provided the info as a courtesy for clarification In response, I got a curt response saying, verbatim, "We do not do modifications when installing Sorry!" Unprofessional and uninformed on standard installation processes

Called the business and spoke with Mr. K[redacted] he stated that he was contacted to work on an ice maker that froze up. He worked on the ice maker and had the part replaced. The part was given free of charge. Mr. [redacted] reached out to CK Appliance Repair LLC and upon doing so was rude to the staff. Mr....

K[redacted] stated that with the way his staff was treated the business owner was notified that he will not be coming back out to work on anything. Mr. K[redacted] stated that he received a call from Mr. [redacted] that the water part on the ice maker stopped wor[redacted]. Mr. K[redacted] stated he did not work on that part that Mr. [redacted] replaced that part so CK Appliance Repair LLC is not responsible for that. No refund will be give back at this time. Mr. K[redacted] stated that if the owner of the business wishes to reach out in regards to the issue he can do so and Mr. K[redacted] will deal with him directly but will not deal with Mr. [redacted] any further.

We addressed the Customer [redacted] questions several times, and he was called again today,March 15, 2015. The customer was offered the refund of the $75 that was paid to CK Appliance for thediagnoses of the washing machine. The customer denied that option. The unit was checked over...

and was found to not be working properly when we diagnosed the unit. Theunit did not indicate there was an issue with water and it was observed the machine would not spinwhen the timer was put into the spin mode. The valve was not humming when the timer was set to fillthe tub. Once checking over the valve, it was found that the valve wasn't receiving voltage to fill thewasher. It was found that the timer wasn't sending the voltage to the valve in order to fill the tub. If thepipes were frozen or not during diagnoses, it would not have affected the diagnoses leading to the timerbeing bad. We are not a plumbing service and do not check water pressure. The pipes therefore couldhave frozen due to the unit not being able to run properly and not being able to call for water. If theunit's water valve was receiving the correct voltage then the water lines would have been checked onthe spot to make sure at least some water was flowing through the hoses. When we discussed this with [redacted] on March 15, 2015 again and the customer did not requestany money or any reimbursement directly. However, the customer is having his $75 returned to him forhis inconvenience.

Review: I had a very poor experience in dealing with [redacted] at C K Appliance Repair. I had him come out to look at our washing machine this winter because when we tried starting it, no water came out. After taking the whole thing apart, and checking voltage levels at multiple locations, [redacted] deemed that we needed to either replace our timer for roughly $350, or look into putting that money into a new washer. Based on his recommendation, we had it replaced and purchased a new washer for about $300. After installation, we tried running it and same thing, still no water.Long story short, the pipes leading to the washing machine had frozen. Don't you think an "expert" or "professional" would at least think to check that we had water flow to the machine itself before recommending on a whim that we invest $315 into a new machine? To make things worse, I've left several messages for [redacted] to follow up and explain the situation yet he refuses to return my calls.Completely unprofessional, and recommend working with someone else for your appliance repair needs.Desired Settlement: Reimbursal for $315 Washing Machine that [redacted] recommend we purchase to replace existing washing machine. Turns out there was no issue with existing washing machine but that water pipes were frozen leading to unit.
