Review: I hired Claire G[redacted] as the expeditor in early August of 2015 to handle the split of our property in Medford, NY. At that time, we gave her all of our records on the property including signed survey maps, CO's, etc. Claire had promised me and my wife that she would take care of all of the applications and procedures regarding the division of our property with the Suffolk County Health Department and with the Town of Brookhaven. She supposedly had a meeting with the health department on August **, 2015 to discuss whether the split of our property is possible and if so, then she would file the application for us. She called us the next day on August **, 2015 to say that she was going to file an application with Suffolk County Health Department and she billed us $250.00 for her to continue the process of handling all the paperwork. We immediately sent her a check of $250.00 to begin her services. At the time of her phone call to us, she was also going to contact our original surveyor and also a surveyor that she knew. She was suppose to call us back in another two weeks after she was in contact with one of the surveyors. After August [redacted], we never heard back from her. We called her office, home and cell numbers numerous times. I sent letter to the P.O. Box in Bellport. About a month ago, I went to the Town of Brookhaven building Dept. and spoke to several people there to see if they saw Claire G[redacted] recently in the building, thinking that maybe something happened to her. All that work in the department have said they have seen her and she stops in almost every day. Finally a few weeks ago, I sent a certified letter to her P.O. Box in Bellport and have not received the requested receipt at this time. We keep trying to call and now her phone number can't take anymore messages because the box is full. We re at a loss as to why Claire has not returned our calls, has not been in touch. In my letters, I said that if she can't handle our case anymore, then to just return the signed survey maps and any of the other important papers that we gave her back in early August 2015. Claire has taken the trust of honest people and has scammed us out of money and time. Now, we are without a signed survey to continue the process on our own, which is 4 months later, and we are out $250.00. Please try to help us and resolve this issue. She should not be working as an expeditor. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like Claire K. Her service as an expeditor is a disgrace to others who are sincere and ethical. She should not be in business and hopefully she isn't scamming other people by taking money and not providing a service.
