I spoke with [redacted] this morning at 9:00am After I received this Revdex.com correspondence! I did offer our apologies which were accepted by her at this time. Customer service is very important to our company and we do strive to be the very best throughout all of our branches, we are sincerely sorry [redacted] was dis-satisfied.
We were contacted by [redacted] on Friday 6/27/14 for a estimate at her property located in [redacted], PA we did explain an estimator would contact her within the next few days when in her area. She contacted us Monday 6/30/14 in the morning asking why she hadn't heard anything from us. Our business hours are Monday-Friday 8-5 with Saturdays by appointment only. I did explain to her she contacted us on Friday and no estimates were conducted over the weekend. We did have delays throughout the week with rain, since we cover a large area of NEPA weather does play a big part in scheduling, we have anywhere from 4-8 estimates  to be conducted daily trying to take each call In the order of being received. Therefore, when there are weather delays we may not get as many estimations done that particular day. With this being said, we did schedule to come to The [redacted] residence on Saturday July5th 2014 the day after a holiday which all Becker locations were closed. This date and time was scheduled with [redacted]. After arriving at the gate of the development we were denied access due to a miscommunication about a drivers license expiration, the driver did supply legal paperwork indicating his drivers license was valid he was awaiting that Tuesday to get a new picture card at the Drivers License center. This then led to [redacted] requesting to cancel estimate and for a refund of the estimate fee, which was sent to our credit card company on Monday 7/7/14. We apologized for any inconvenience at that time. I do believe this was a simple mis-communication and we hope we have been able to answer any of [redacted]s concerns.

Attached please find a copy of the contract fulfilled in Decemeber 2014. This was a repair project carrying NO WARRANTY -and clearly lists this at the top of the contract signed by [redacted] . We did not install the entire roof system on this residence therefore it is NOT possible for us to...

guarantee any of of the work originally completed by someone else was ever actually done correct. We offer full roof replacements or repairs according to our clients budget, in this case the customers stated they were only looking for a low cost option since they planned on moving/selling the property. The contract provided was for new flashing to be installed on the dormer area as an ATTEMPT to stop existing leakage, we also included a chimney removal as requested by the customer. The clients we aware upon signing our agreement that this work DID NOT carry any kind of warranty. We explained this to the customer upon each phone call but also explained that as  a courtesy we would send a technician to re-visit the property and look for other potential leaks and also inspect the work completed by our company. We will still be happy to do this as we originally stated.
As for the statement "finish the job" this contract was fulfilled 12.17.2014.
Thank You,
Craig B[redacted]
President

Becker Roofing was contracted to replace my Shingle roof February 2005. On the contract it states that: All roofing systems installed by our contractors are accompanied by a 10yr warranty. May 27th 2015 my area got a 2-3 inch an hour rain fall and my 10 year roof started leaking. This was noticed in the bedroom were the ceiling was dripping steadily. Right away Becker Roofing was contacted, the Pottsville office. They had told me that my records weren't in that office and they would have to find them. That someone would be in contract with me when my records were found. I waited a whole week and protected the floor in the attack were the leaks were taking place. No one ever called me back. I had to call the Pottsville office again a week later. They told me that the Hazelton office has my records and they were in formed of my problem. Meanwhile it is raining nearly everyday and the roof is leaking. No one called back, Monday the 8th of June, I called Pottsville and asked if I could have the Hazelton # and it was given, I called it. They said they were informed of my problem but all there men were on other jobs. They would be in contact within the next few days to come take a look at what could be the problem. I had mentioned how the shingles have a 30 yr life and it is only 10 yrs. They said the 10yr warranty they gave is only on labor not on anything else and that if it were a labor issue that it wouldn't have happened at this time. I still wanted Becker roofing to come and see why the roof was leaking. Tuesday the 9th of June, I called back to inform them that if their men would come before 2pm because I work 3-11 pm shift. They say I don't need to be here for there inspection of my roof. Then they say " We are no longer contracted with you and that I have no warranty with them any longer. I ask what about the labor statement made yesterday? They say it couldn't be a labor issue after all this time. I ask if they could refer me to someone else. They say you could look into who ever I want at this point. I say, it looks like they will not be coming out to even look at the roof. They say, you just called yesterday. I say, this is the third week I have called for help. They say, someone will be out by the end of the week. I just said, we will see if someone comes out by the end of the week. The week came and went without any more contact from Becker Roofing. I wanted them to fix it since they are the ones that replaced my roof. I had to find another roofer to do the job.on the 15th of June. When the roof was inspected it did turn out to be, in fact, a labor issue. The vents were not seated properly, the chimney was not sealed properly and there were 8 other places that needed to be sealed right. Also, the gutters were filled with the old roof debris to the point that all the gutter around the roof had to be cleaned out. There had been a problem with the gutter since the new roof was installed but I couldn't take care of it until now. Also, a pair of shingle cutters were found in the gutter that the men had left behind. I could not get up on the roof myself or have anybody get up there to inspect the job right after it was done, being a single mother, or the gutter problem would have been seen before now.

Review: I contacted Becker Roofing in [redacted], PA to leave a message that I needed a new roof and wanted an estimate. I contacted them on a Thursday. I called another Becker number and explained that I had left a message and no on called. That CSR said it was OK that I called [redacted]. They took a $30.00 fee for the estimate.

I waited until Saturday and did not hear back. They said nothing is done on Fridays and so it was not fed into the system. I waited Monday and Tuesday, and no one contacted me. When I called back, they said "the rain" caused delays. Now, in the 5 days, we had 1 hour of rain in [redacted].

The person to give the estimate finally showed at my development on Wednesday, and he did not have a valid driver's ;license, so security would not admit him!! Becker sends people driving without valid licenses. I called Becker to complain and asked to speak to a Manager or Owner. I never received a call-back from either.

It also took 2 more calls to get my $30 estimate fee refunded.

This is not a reliable company.Desired Settlement: I would like an explanation AND an apology from an Owner as I originally requested.

Review: March, 2009 Becker Roofing installed new roofing on my house, including 3 new skylights in the sun room. I had no problem with the workmanship - they did a great job. Last summer (2013) I had some work done cleaning out the rain gutters and the person doing the work noticed cracks in one skylight. I was not aware of the cracks or when they happened. On Wednesday, August 21, 2013 I called the office to report the problem. August 24 I received an e-mail requesting a project number which I provided. In the second phone conversation I was told a visit would be scheduled to look at the skylignts. On September 23 I sent an e-mail with pictures for them to look at and asked when someone would come out to look at the skylight. November 22 I received an e-mail apologizing for the delay and they would be contacting me with a date to visit after the holidays. I didn't hear anything after that and, of course, we had a rough winter and was not expecting a visit until spring. March 12, 2014 I sent an e-mail that, yes, it's been a rough winter and looking forward to a visit in spring. Mr. Becker replied on March 13 that he would contact me the next couple weeks and arrange a meeting day. April 28 I sent another e-mail that there was no response about scheduling a visit. The same day the reply was that someone was scheduled to visit the property on Wednesday, April 30. 2 people arrived about 3:00 p.m. I explained the problem to them, one fellow went up on the roof, found a serial number on the skylight, took a picture and told us we would receive a response in 2-3 days. As if today - May 18 - I have not heard anything.Desired Settlement: I just want the skylight fixed.

Review: ON OCTOBER 30, 2012 BECKER CAME TO MY HOUSE TO REPLACE MY PORCH ROOF WITH A RUBBER ROOF. THE CONTRACT STATED AMONG OTHER PROVISIONS, "NOTE:TAPERED OR LAYERED INSULATION BASE IS INCLUDED TO CREATE A POSITIVE WATER FLOW AS NEEDED." MY ROOF HAS A PROBLEM WITH WATER LYING ON THE ROOF UNTIL EVAPORATED DUE TO DIP ON ROOF.

I TOLD THE ESTIMATOR THAT THIS CONDITION MUST BE ELIMINATED AND HE AGREED. THE JOB WAS NOT COMPLETED AND BEFORE THE SUPVISOR LEFT HE INFORMED MY THAT THEY DID NOT PUT ENOUGH INSULATION BASE TO COMPLETELY ELIMINATE THE WATER FLOW PROBLEM. HE ALSO MENTIONED THAT THEY DID NOT PUT THE 6" PERIMETER STRIPPING ON THE ROOF. HE ASSURED ME THAT THIS WOULD BE FINISHED TO MY SATISFACTION.

BECKER HAS YET TO RETURN TO COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION EVEN THOUGH I HAVE CALLED THEM MANY TIMES, SPEAKING WITH THE OFFICE MANAGER, "[redacted]". SHE TELLS ME THEY WILL BE OUT SOON, NEXT WEEK "SOME TIME", WE ARE BACKED UP BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER OR SOME OTHER EXCUSE.

THE COST OF THE ROOF WAS $2,625.00. I PAID A DEPOSIT OF $1,350.00 PER THEIR REQUEST TO START THE JOB.Desired Settlement: COMPLETE THE JOB.
