I had a large list of home improvement items that I wanted to get an estimate for I had been given Christina's contact information from a realtor Monday: I called Christina F*, and she asked me to email her the list of items, which I did Tuesday: Christina replied and said she could come over Wednesday afternoon I replied and asked what time; no response Wednesday: I texted her and asked again what time we were meeting that afternoon; she then tried to get a babysitter, but couldn'tso she asked if we could meet Thursday instead I said yes, I'll meet you tomorrow at 5: Thursday: We waited at the house for hours, but Christina never showed up I texted and called, with no answer FINALLY she eventually answered the phone, and claimed she forgot about the meeting Since she was about to go on vacation, she asked me to email her a set of pictures around the house, so that she could use that work on an estimate I sent her the email that night That was weeks ago, and I STILL haven't received any response from Christina If you don't want an experience like mine, I suggest you use a company that actually cares about getting your business

We interviewed a few contractors to build a playhouse for our kids in our backyard hillside. So happy we found CLA Construction. [redacted] was the most responsive contractor I have ever worked with. His ideas were much more detailed than our simple house idea. The attention to detail was beyond our expectation (he made the playhouse look exactly like our main house).

[redacted] and his team were great to work with - professional, punctual, accommodating, friendly, and more! We will definitely use CLA for any future projects!

DO NOT BUY LENNAR HOME! Do not buy a home with Lennar Homes. Do your research and see various complaints since early 2000's. There are even entire websites created just to help spread the negatives of Lennar Homes. I am an original owner of a yr 2006 built Lennar single family, one-story home in Florida. Several major issues with home since 2006 that Lennar would not address. They always had an 'out' or past warranty period. Here are the big ones:
Air Conditioner condenser drain lines were not primed and were ran in between interior home walls instead of garage so when they broke open, one of the back bedrooms was flooded and damage done. This happened just after 2 year plumbing warranty.
Air Conditioner Unit had to be replaced at just 9 years of age and since year 2007 I've had routine maintenance completed by pro A/C co. every year.
Plumbing from the house to the street (sewer). Lines clogged with water backing up into house. Upon investigation to resolve problem it was found that Lennar had run another home's plumbing into my sewer drain line instead of providing my own devoted sewer line from house to street. The clog was actually in the leased-out home next door but I had a $400+ bill to pay for - why? because this practice of tying in more than one home's plumbing into another house plumbing not against building code - it is uncommon and unscrupulous business practice but not a building violation. Lennar got away with their cheap building methods again.
Last and most recent bad news - bad roof. Here it is just barely over 10 years and the roof is rotted and giving away in several places. Reason is roof was installed incorrect - roof nails missing - never installed, nails exposed that should not be and covered with tar in attempt to hide, roof ridge too small causing water intrusion, no proper roof ventilation (ridge vent not installed), and flashing installed wrong. The roof company that looked at roof couldn't believe it ever passed county inspections.
There are other small items over the years such as structural cracks due to stucco put on too thin, we had to repaint almost right away due to one-coat application of cheap paint, tiles floors cracking due to lack of thinset mortar underneath, and more 'small' stuff that adds up. We've put in over $15,000 for a house barely 10 years of age - this is in repair costs only! Not improvements.
I learned the very hard way and expensive way. Just want to warn anyone thinking of a new or resale home - make sure to research the builder! Don't buy Lennar for sure!

I cannot say enough about CLA Construction. Several years ago, we had a sever water leak somewhere in the house, and couldn't find it. We brought in a local plumber and after more than an hour, he couldn't find it either. Next, we called a larger plumbing company. They said the leak was "somewhere under the foundation" near the kitchen, and we'd need to partially dismantle our kitchen, tear up the tiles, and cut a large hole in the slab, just to find the leak. Not only would that have been costly and time consuming, but we would have been without a kitchen for the duration. So we brought in a contractor. We chose CLA Construction, and are really glad we did! They assessed the situation, cut a small hole in the drywall of the guest bathroom (on the other side of the kitchen), snaked a camera through the wall and found the water leak -- and a separate broken drain pipe -- all in less than 30 minutes. CLA was then able to pull up the carpet (without damaging it), cut a small hole in slab, and fix the broken drain pipe and the split water main. This was much faster and less expensive, and we never lost the use of our kitchen! We were so impressed that we've used CLA Construction for all our home repair needs since.

We employed CLA Construction to completely rebuild our redwood deck in our backyard. Chris and his employees did a fantastic job in completing this project for us.
They completed our project on time and the finished product was exceptional.
They started the project and stayed with it until completion. They completed the project within the bid/budget discussed with them before the work started. Based upon our experience with CLA Construction we would highly recommend them.

They are absolutely terrible. I bought a home just 3 months ago, and water starts raining out of my light fixtures. Turns out the plumbing was terrible. I can chuck that up to bad workmanship and a one off, but they have been absolutely terrible ever since. Their customer service sucks, no one even checks in to make sure everything is going ok. The dry wall company is shabby at best.

It's been a nightmare. They seem to only be concerned with selling the shabily built house, and then moving on. A lot of builders are bad, but if you have a choice, stay away from Lennar homes.
