I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the business offer appears below I refuse pay for another defective windshield and will take nothing less then a full refund to resolve this matter Please note: The companies video in the link provided falsely claims that the polycarbonate "does not crack" and shows an employee of EMP hitting it with a hammer and then running it over with a pickup truck to try to prove it won't crack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbP_2nuNlEs I bought this windshield because EMP claims in their video that it "does not crack" The day warranty mentioned by [redacted] is meaningless when his company makes the claim that this windshield "does not crack" I returned one of the cracked windshields to EMP and have the other cracked "replacement" windshield and all of the hardware still in my possession Two out of two of the windshields that this company has said "does not crack" in their video have cracked through no fault of mine And those cracks are all the way through, not just in the "hard coating" as [redacted] claims Contrary to [redacted] ***'s response I have explained numerous times that both windshields cracked after the first ride, for no reason, and was NOT caused by abuse And that I have never "over tighten the screws" Both windshield"s screws were hand tightened A "cordless impact gun" was never used, nor has an "impact gun" ever been mentioned in any of our correspondence's regarding this matter All of our correspondences has been done by email I have never called this company and spoke to anyone as [redacted] claims Considering that two of these windshields have failed quickly after installation and usage, I would never consider the companies offer of buying a "replacement" windshield I will happily return the cracked windshield with all of the hardware for a full refund to resolve this matter It's unreasonable for the customer to have two windshields crack after one use, under easy operation It's even more unreasonable for this company to be claiming that this windshield "does not crack" when they are in possession of one of the two windshields that they have admitted in their response below that they know has cracked without being hit with a hammer or run over by a truck Regards, [redacted]

The complaint has been reviewed by *** The business would be happy to send verification when he gets it The company offered a replacement for the part in question and never heard back from the consumer

[redacted]May 6 [redacted], Thank you, for talking with me on the phone today. I am writing in reference to Revdex.com ID [redacted]. The customer apparently over tightened the screws cracking the hard...

coating around the bolts (the polycarbonate has a hard coating on it).   He had called claiming it just cracked on his first ride for no reason  (this is used on an off road vehicle and is often abused).  We replaced the first one at no charge and it was explained that the bolts were over tightened probably due to using an cordless impact gun to tighten them or maybe severe cold temperatures.   We do not feel there is any harm that could be done due to the stress cracks in the hard coating.  We also explained that he was past his 30 day warranty and due to the nature of the products abused in the off road industry only a 30 day warranty was given (see link below).   Both times he claimed it was on his first ride.  There are hundreds of this particular windshield in the market and on this complaint about cracking around the bolts.  We had replaced it once outside of the warranty time.  If he would like a replacement piece of the Hard Coated Polycarbonate it would be $100.00.  These are often replaced over time.   He could still use all of his hardware that he already has. [redacted]  If you have any questions feel free to contact me.Thank you, [redacted]Extreme Metal Products, LLC216-267-3900

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the business offer appears below.  I refuse pay for another defective windshield and will take nothing less then a full refund to resolve this matter.
Please note:  The companies video in the link provided falsely claims that the polycarbonate "does not crack" and shows an employee of EMP hitting it with a hammer and then running it over with a pickup truck to try to prove it won't crack.      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbP_2nuNlEs   I bought this windshield because EMP claims in their video that it "does not crack".  The 30 day warranty mentioned by [redacted] is meaningless when his company makes the claim that this windshield "does not crack" .
I returned one of the cracked windshields to EMP and have the other cracked "replacement" windshield and all of the hardware still in my possession.  Two out of two of the windshields that this company has said "does not crack" in their video have cracked through no fault of mine.   And those cracks are all the way through, not just in the "hard coating" as [redacted] claims.
Contrary to [redacted]'s response I have explained numerous times that both windshields cracked after the first ride, for no reason, and was NOT caused by abuse.   And that I have never "over tighten the screws".  Both windshield"s screws were hand tightened.  A "cordless impact gun" was never used, nor has an "impact gun" ever been mentioned in any of our correspondence's regarding this matter.  All of our correspondences has been done by email.  I have never called this company and spoke to anyone as [redacted] claims.
Considering that two of these windshields have failed quickly after installation and normal usage, I would never consider the companies offer of buying a "replacement" windshield.  I will happily return the cracked windshield with all of the hardware for a full refund to resolve this matter.  It's unreasonable for the customer to have two windshields crack after one use, under easy operation.  It's even more unreasonable for this company to be claiming that this windshield "does not crack" when they are in possession of one of the two windshields that they have admitted in their response below that they know has cracked without being hit with a hammer or run over by a truck.
Regards,
[redacted]
