Review: Me and 2 of my friends recently rented a place from Clachan Properties and before my parents would agree to signing and add their information so I could sign the lease they called as they were concerned about the size of the unit you were renting. Clachan properties assured us the unit was over 1000sqft( their internal data states it is 1097sqft), this was a major attributing factor to us renting the unit($1435 per month). Upon entering the unit an measuring the unit we got around 880sqft. We requested technical schematics that were withheld from us prior to that and we were given them instantly, many of the details advertised on this were false and misleading. We requested them to remeasure and they ignored our complaint and even suggested it would be easy to rent the unit without us. We resent the request and have been ignored. If we were informed that the unit was less than 1000sqft we would not have leased it for that price and I would have taken my business elsewhere.Desired Settlement: I would at least like to know my options honestly I do not know what I can do. While I feel our rent should be adjusted,as the website shows 2bedroom units going from 1300-1500 and as one of the smallest 2bed 2 bath I dont understand why it would be at almost max rent for its type. I do not know if that is possible. I would at least like the company to change their advertisement to reflect factual information. We would also like for them to respond to our inquiry.
