Review: My vehicle was towed for allegedly parking in an illegal space. The business did not provide proof that the vehicle was illegally parked and charged me over $200 to release my car. After asking for proof of violation I was repeatedly denied by a extremely rude woman over the phone. I was also denied access to my vehicle for a time even after paying the bill!Desired Settlement: I would like to request a refund of the payment required to release my vehicle from the pound or proof that my vehicle was illegally parked.

Review: My daughter car was towed from a restaurant she was eating at, the restaurant manager said they have compliant about the tow truck company by there guest all the time. My daughter was in a legal parking space with 31min left on the meter. When I went to get information from the person at the window I was given attitude and very rude. I informed him I need information to get my daughter car out or contact someone to have this dispute he then refused to give me information and said the car will sit there until court Dec 18th which I felt was ridiculous. I spoke with the lady outside by the car she said I can pay a high fee to retreive the car which should of came from the clerk. When I went back inside he laughed and said you can get your car but it will cost you $190. I tried contacting there main office but was unsuccessful for a return call or information just was told to go to court. I have pics and proof my daughter car was not parked illegally and would like my money refunded and a compliant against them. That place is a rip off with bad customer serviceDesired Settlement: I would like my $190 refunded because my the car was parked legally and I have pictures to prove it

Review: Towed a vehicle from my repair shop citing "driveway" where there is no driveways on my street except mine. The vehicle was NOT in front of my driveway. This corrupt company has been a thorn in this city for many years. How exactly can you tow a car that's blocking a driveway that doesn't exist?Desired Settlement: The 192$ I had to spend to get my customers car back.

Review: I am very disapoointed with the service at Claiborne Auto Pound I recieved initially on 1/10/2014, and I have been ever since then. From start to finish, the whole experience was repulsive. For starters, it was very cold on 1/10 and my ride that brought me to the pound (seeing as my car was towed) was told to wait outside, as he was not there for "business." Apparently, it was a "fire code violation," per the officer outside to have more than 3 people inside at one time. So while my exiled ride waited outside, the three people that remained inside had to wait in a grungy, run down, claustrophobic 6' x 10' room with no chairs to sit while waiting for the one person at the window to slowly attend to the people whose cars were towed. After reading a sign, I realized that I needed a few things that were still in my car, so I left to grab them. When I walked to my car to get the registration out, I was literally treated like a criminal and the guards to the lot immediately blocked the entrance with a white van just in case I atttempted to drive off with my car. 30 mintutes later, I was finished and I thought that was the end of it. However, after reviewing my ticket, I realized that my "ticket" was written 2 hrs AFTER my car had been towed. How can a valid ticket be written 2 hrs after the vehicle was no longer on the scene? Legally, I have a very hard time believing you can because how do I know you were even there to witness it? Ever since then, I have tried calling them SEVERAL times and I have yet to have a person answer the phone ONCE! I have tried calling over ten times spread out over multiple days, and no one can answer the phone to give me additional info about the tow. How can I fight a ticket if I cannot get the information for evidence? Oh right, you can't.Desired Settlement: I would simply like my tow fee refunded in full. ($153.00)

Review: We visited New Orleans on 9/13/14. After finding a parking spot on the street, we ask an African American lady who was driving a white non marked tow truck (we later found out it was Claiborne Auto Pound) could we park "here" on the street. She asked if we were from the area and we responded no. She then told us yes, it is safe to park on the street in the area where we were.A parking attendant from a nearby garage heard the conversation and mentioned that the lady was not being truthful. The lady then told us that the parking attendant does that all of the time and just wanted us to pay for parking when in fact it is free on the street. She then referenced all of the other cars that was parked where our car was. After leaving the Audubon (about 1.5 hours), we discovered that our car was towed by the same company who the lady is employed with. After walking to Claiborne Ave to retrieve our vehicle, we were told by the clerk that he was unsure why we were towed, but it may have been a fire hydrant issue. There are no signs on the street what so ever about fire hydrants or restrictive parking. The lady purposely told us misinformation and refuted the parking attendant's statement. This is clearly an ethical issue that should be addressed.Desired Settlement: Please refund $193.00 or show me a picture of my vehicle being parked within 15 feet of a fire hydrant.
