Review: This company is the claims company responsible for our insurance claim we filed over a year ago after Hurricane Sandy. Our condo, being on the lower level, experienced waste water back up during the hurricane, and we filed our claim accordingly. Since, this company has altered the claim repeatedly to say it was a "flood" that caused our water damage. They justify this because there was flooding in the area; however, we did not ever experience a "flood" we suffered damages from waste water back up. Further, we filed the claim in November 2012, met with an adjuster a few months later (from an entirely different company who was contracted by this company), who collected all of this information, and to our knowledge fully understood that it was waste water and not flood water. We provided the adjuster with all of the requested information, and it wasn't until AUGUST 2013, that CAC finally submitted the information for review. We've still not heard official word on the status of the claim. What we have heard via email and over the phone, is that they are going to deny the claim because it doesn't meet the flood insurance deductible. Given that this wasn't a FLOOD, and was in fact WASTE WATER, we are appalled by this denial. Further, since we haven't yet received an official denial letter, we cannot even pursue our legal right to arbitration to have the matter reviewed further.Desired Settlement: We want the claim satisfied in full and to then cease any further relationship with this company.
