Claims Processing Center Reviews (3)

Review: I am writting inregards to a long distance move that took place on July *, 2012. Our belongs were delivered by all star at our new location in Florida on July **, 2012. We had many many items that were returned to us damaged and some missing. We filed a claims form that was given to us the day our items were delivered to get a reimbursement on these items. I mailed my request along with photos as proof on items that were damaged and sent in through certified mail to All Stars Claim Department in Staten Island, NY. We have been getting in touch with them for about a thousand times and everytime john and I call, we get a different excuse as to why we have not recieved an answer from them on our claim furthermore, they do not make any effort in contacting us back in any way. We were told that usually we would recieve a response within a month but because we filed a previous complaint to them with the Revdex.com, we would recieve a delayed response by April **, 2012 in the mail. It has been almost two months and we continue to be ignored by all stars claims department. When we call, they put us on hold for 10 mins or more, then either say "we will call you back, or you will recieve a notice in the mail, or you will recieve an email," or they transfer us around. We mailed our claims packet and they recieved it at 1:20 pm on december **, 2012. Tracking # is [redacted]. It has been 6 months and have not recieved reimbursement on our items that "they" broke / missing. Our newborn is laying in a broken crib (wood backboard cracked) that they also broke along with many other things. They have had more than enough time to process our claim. This is beyond inexcusable!! My family and I deserve an answer and a reimbursement. It has been nothing but a horror story with all star and their claims department since day one began.Desired Settlement: Reimburse us on our damaged / missing items please.

Review: We would like to officially file a complaint against All Star Moving Services, LLC located at [redacted] and their insurance company Claims Processing Center located at [redacted]. We moved from [redacted] on Saturday, September ** to [redacted]. We had contracted All Star Moving Services to make this move for us. Our household items were to arrive before we arrived at our home, so we had neighbors let them in to deliver our items. When we arrived, we found that many items were missing and a lot of the items that did arrive were broken. We called on several occasions and were finally told we needed to file an insurance claim with the Claims Processing Center. They could not provide an answer as to where our missing items were. We do know that when the truck left our house, our items were in the front, when it delivered to our Florida home, they were in the back. Obviously, they either delivered the items to another home or took them for themselves. We contacted Claims Processing Center and spoke with [redacted]. She told us we needed to list all items that were missing and broken and to send pictures of these broken items. All the information was sent to them and we have confirmation from the post office that they received it on December * at 2:02 pm. We called [redacted] on several occasions and first she said that she never received the information and would have to check into it and call us back. After several days, we called again and she was not available (this happens quite frequently when calling her). A message was left and she was to return the call. This went on for well over a month! Finally, we did get in touch with her and she was going to email us. She advised us that nothing would be done until April. However, we never received any email and have left many messages for her to call but to no avail; we have not gotten a return phone call or an email with the status of our claim. An estimated total value of missing items and damage is $1744.00 and that is being conservative. Dealing with All Star and Claims Processing Center, has been the worst experience we have ever had. We lost many items that were irreplaceable…more of a sentimental value that we did not include in our estimate. We moved to Florida for our retirement years and this experience has put unnecessary stress on us. We are honest people and feel we have been not only taken advantage of, but have been given a run around in the hopes that we would eventually stop pursuing the reimbursement on our claim. Both of these companies have been unprofessional in their lack of action on their part. In speaking with other people, we find that there have been many complaints about them. We are hoping that you will help us in resolving this problem. If you need further information, we do have copies of everything that was mailed to them as well as our contract and dates we have called, do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for your time and help in this matter. [redacted] and [redacted]Desired Settlement: We would like to officially file a complaint and monetary reimbursement for items that were missing and damaged

Sincerely,

Review: I moved from Ohio to NJ in June of 2012. During the move a multitude of items were damaged, however the only item I cared about was my torn couch. I filed a complaint with All-Star Moving, and they provided me a way to file an claim with Claims Processing Center. I provided everything that was required for me to receive my claim, and yet I have not received anything, albeit coming on a year later. I mailed my claims forms on 9/**/12 and they were received by Claims Processing Center on 9/**/12 (I have the certified mail receipt). I have not sat idle with this. I allowed for a reasonable amount of time to pass before calling Claims Processing Center. I had called them 8-10 times requesting a status of my claim. Each time I was told a different story, or that they have emailed me things or that they would be soon. Never once did I receive anything in the mail or email. Whenever I requested to speak with a manager I was always told that there weren't any in the office at the time. Let it me noted that I was not even asking for a large sum. I was only asking for the tear to be repaired, not replacement of the couch. The entire claim was only $60. Also, I have copies of all the paperwork, and notes of each time I called their facility.Desired Settlement: I would like them to actually process the claim and provide me a check for $60. I am not asking for anything more than what I am owed.
