Clair's Auto Body

Review: due to the fact that my car was in an accident in December of 2014. Remind that this accident was not at my fault, I did choose to bring my car to Clair's Body Shop to be fixed through the other person's insurance company { [redacted] } . the damage was on the passenger side of the car. My car was returned on January 7th, 2015. When I picked up my car, I then realized my drivers side mirror was missing. I asked the owner [redacted] before leaving his property where it was ..... He recalled that it was missing before it was in his hands to do any work. However , I have documents from the claims adjuster saying and pictures stating it was there. I asked that it needed to be replaced as soon as possible at his cost. [redacted] said he would see what he could do. He called later that day and said that he could give me a mirror but it would not be the same kind , it would fit. Though it would not be anything like it was before and I would have money out of my pocket. I refused completely. I then told [redacted] that I want my car the way it was when it was in his hands before all this mishap.... He said " do you realize this is a $700 mirror? " I said do what you have to replace my mirror please in a timely manner, as this is illegal for me to drive with no mirror on this side and very dangerous. [redacted] then said he would be in touch. A couple days later , he then called and said he ordered one from Idaho, and it was used. The part would be here in about a week and he would call me when it arrived. I asked why it was not priority. [redacted] never responded to that question. At this time I gave [redacted] over a week to be in touch with me about my mirror. He never called , so I took it upon myself to go to his site and ask what was the process in this condition. [redacted] responded and said he had no body man and had to do some himself and that the mirror was not there yet. I asked if there was a tracking number. He said he would look it up and call me within a half hour. I still do not have the right mirror and [redacted] said it is o.k.Desired Settlement: I would like a full replacement done, as well to make sure that the work that was done for my accident that was done from his company was done correctly , as well a small suit to his company. I am extremely upset with customer service , as well with my damage to my car and the way it is being handled. I want to make sure that I am getting the service that I deserve for something that was never my fault to begin with.
