Thanks for sending me the Revdex.com complaint on this patient. 
 
We are a medical laboratory.  Similar to a Quest Diagnostic or LabCorp, but we provide very specific cancer diagnostics.
 
The issue with this patient is their insurance incorrectly denied the medical claim, stating the patient was not covered by any plan.  As with any general medical procedure, patients are financially responsible for whatever their insurance refuses to cover.  When the insurance denied the claim, we sent the claim to the patient for which they paid. 
 
As it turns out, Humana should have covered this claim from the beginning.  So we have resubmitted this claim to the insurance company, and once they process and pay the claim, we can initiate a refund to this patient.
 
So while I fully understand the Revdex.com complaint from this patient, the fault is really their insurance provider.  Their insurance provider wrongly denied this claim which lead the patient to be financially responsible.  We were able to connect with the insurance provider, get them the proper information and now they can process the claim.

I paid a bill to clarient that I should not have paid.  it was to be paid by humana. clarient sent me the bill and I paid it.  I found out later they made an error in medical coding, I called and was told it was corrected.  I called again and was told they had the wrong membership to...

humana, no problem we will fix this.  I was in contact to humana. clarient needed an eob.  called twice to humana. humana is to pay this bill not me, but I did. I want my money back.

complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.Evidently there was a communication issue between my insurance company and the business.  The company called me the day after receiving my email via the Revdex.com.  They corrected the bill (as per my insurance coverage), called it back from collections and sent me a corrected invoice.  This time they were kind and professional.  And this time I did get the bill in the mail.  I paid it and I believe we have resolved the issue.

I called our customer the same day I received noticed and we closed the issue within a day or so.  Unfortunately we did not handle the claim correctly here, so I was able to quickly remediate.Thanks

Review: April 8, 2013 my physician sent a test to this company. On or about December 2014 I received a bill from them (well over a year later). When I called to ask about it they told me they were still negotiating with insurance and that I should ignore that statement. That was the one and only correspondence I received from them. I assumed insurance paid it. But evidently (I have now learned) they are not contracted with my insurance.

May 15, 2015 I receive a letter from a collection agency that I have failed to pay this bill. I did not receive any further statements! Furthermore, the bill was for $222.28 plus penalties. My insurance allowable amount for this test was $28.87. They are not contracted with my insurance so they can charge whatever they want. Had I received a bill, I would have called to negotiate this outrageous charge. And I would have paid my bill.

But I first learn about it from a collection agency. When I called [redacted] (5/27/15) they only insist they have sent me monthly statements and refuse any responsibility. In over 45 years I have never failed to pay a bill and I certainly have never been referred to a collection agency. I am guessing I am not the only one who has been bullied by this company therefore I am filing this complaint. I am left with no choice but to pay this bill (that is nearly 8x the allowable insurance amount!) or have them ding my spotless credit.Desired Settlement: I agree that I had the test and that I owe for that. And I realize that insurance allowable amounts can be lower than what a company is willing to accept (although [redacted], my insurer, is generally not among the worst low payers).

The allowable amount for the test I had done is 28.87 (I can provide an [redacted]). If the company charged me $50 that would seem high. I would be interested to know the average amount they are reimbursed by an insurance company for this test. I'm guessing well below $50. At any rate, I would be willing to pay that.

But I have been forced to pay 259.65 (222.28 for test plus 37.37 interest). I would like to be refunded the difference of 209.28.

Review: I am a humana pt. I had a procedure that needed lab work on3/6/14. I received a bill from clarient diag. 666.84. which I paid. the first time I called I was told it was a medical coding error and it would be fixed. the second time I was told they had the wrong hmo member number and they would fix it. humana had since sent me claims receipt stating not a bill $0.00 claim total. I sent paper work to claient, that they said would clear matters up. nothing has happened. I have mailed, emailed, facebook. thanks gerryDesired Settlement: pay me my money back.
