Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
First of all, I am a woman and do not appreciate being referred to as "**." [redacted] by the business. The car that was sold to me had a major defect that they failed to disclose. Engines should not spontaneously and catastrophically fail, especially in such a short period of time and with normal use. At best, they were negligent about informing me of an existing problem. At worst, it could be a willful act, perhaps discrimination against me due to the fact that I am [redacted].

Review: Vehicle was sold to me in a condition unsuitable to driving. The engine blew after very little use a short time after the purchase rendering the vehicle completely undriveable. The dealer hid the fact that there was a serious issue with the vehicle and is refusing to offer any sort of refund or perform any work on the vehicle.Desired Settlement: The ideal solution would be to have the dealer provide whatever parts and labor are necessary to return the vehicle to a driving state. Failing that, I would like either a suitable replacement vehicle or a full refund for my purchase.

Review: I phoned on Feb 26, 2015 to get the price to duplicate a key for a 2002 PT Cruiser. The service department put me on hold and then responded that it would be $31.50, but that they would need to order the key. I arrived on March 5 at 8am to have the key made. I was told again that the key was $31.50 and that to program it would be $34.50. Since I had been quoted $31.50 for the work earlier, I thought that the small price increase wasn't worth bothering with. When the work was finished, I was given the TOTAL cost of $65.50. I immediately objected, stating that I had been told $31.50 on the phone when the order was placed. The parts manager referenced the quote when I entered. I told him I figured that it was a running total, not separately listed prices. I suggested that they quote a total price in the future to eliminate confusion. His response was that no one else was ever confused.

The under quoted price is deceptive business practices. [redacted], [redacted] and a locksmith shop all quoted their TOTAL price, in the $50 range. I chose to give my business to the dealership due to the lower price. The insult at the end of his transaction was completely unacceptable.Desired Settlement: I want the dealership to honor their original price quote and refund me the $34.50.

Review: My husband and I purchased a Dodge Durango from Clarion Chrysler 2 months ago. We dealt with a salesman named Larry Rankin. He assured my husband and I that it would easily tow our 27 foot camper without difficulty and that it was equipped to do so as it was. He stated multiple times, you just have to take this piece of plastic off and the towing package is under it. We purchased the vehicle and went home. When I went to have the electric brakes installed, we found that there was in fact no towing package on our vehicle. I took it back and he reported that he never said that this vehicle had one. He told me that I could pay $300 plus to have one installed. I told him that I would have to discuss it with my husband. I left the dealership. By the time I made it back to work he called me and said that they would not only put on the towing package, but that they would do it free of charge and install my electric brake system free as well. They did this. Then I went to purchase mirror extensions for my Durango. After a long discussion with the RV, he stated, that if I were to even attempt this, not only would the towing package be dragging on the ground but that the Durango would be ruined as it was unable to tow the weight of the camper. I confirmed this at another dealership. Now, I am again left with at $44,000 vehicle that is of no use to me.Desired Settlement: I would like the dealership to contact me to discuss this matter to see what they are willing to do to remedy this. I would like everyone out there to know the crooked practices that this man is employing. I want to warn anyone against purchasing a vehicle there to avoid the lies that my husband and I have suffered.
