I am copying my letter of thanks to the hotel as my review: Dear Dave, Tina, & Clarion Staff I wanted to officially write you to let you know how satisfied both I and my attendees were with the Clarion during our [redacted] weekend, Nov11th, 12th, & 13th, Your employees went above and beyond to not only provide us excellent service, but to make sure to take the time to stop and speak with me and my volunteers to inquire if there was anything else we neededDebbie and Bill handled check-in/check-out and all of my attendees other needs in a prompt and timely mannerChrissy and Jill were wonderful in the restaurant and your housekeeping staff, Hilda and Ellen, ensured our rooms were kept clean and we had everything we needed Tina, your Director of Sales, was a pleasure to work with throughout the year to ensure that my event could be as successful as possibleI am already looking forward to working with her again to plan our event weekend All of your staff were friendly, always smiling, and went out of their way to ensure I, my volunteers, and attendees had everything we needed to make my event and our stay at the Clarion for the weekend a great experiencePlease pass along my complements to your employees Sincerely, [redacted] Owner & Producer [redacted] , Inc ***@flafp.com

Clarion inn and suites is the worst place I have ever gone.The staffs over there have no manners and totally rudeReceiptionist Shante was very racistShe didnt give us the room even though there were vacant and cleaned roomsThey promised us to give room at 1pmWhen we arrived to the hotel, receiptionist said they will not give and the check in time is only 4pm and they will give room at that time only even though I said I have to get ready for wedding at 4pmThey gave the room lateThe rooms were still getting cleaned when they gave the keyWhen we asked to house keeping they said, there are several vacant rooms and they never got any priority call to clean the roomwhen I tried to iron the shirt, the iron box was not workingI called the receptionist to give working iron box, but she never gave me oneThe receptionist is a ***

Major Safety & Security Issues
During my stay my door lock became increasingly harder to turn, to the point where I was trapped in my roomFor the last day I had to have maintenance let me in and out of my roomIf there had been an emergency, I would have been stuck
It was not until hour before check-out that they offered to move me to another room
When my lock was working, I forgot my keycard onceI went to the desk and asked for a replacementThey have it to me, without asking my name, or checking the roster, and this was a clerk I had not interacted withI could have gotten the key to any room!
Besides that, the hotel is worn and oldI don't see how it lives up to Clarion standardsMaybe a sleep inn at bestThey do not use individual air conditioners but a central system instead, which worked when it wanted to
The management and staff seemed very unapologetic and un-phased about the issues I was having, taking the attitude that this kind of thing was common
My opinion, for your safety, stay somewhere else if you can

Review: During a stay, I valeted my vehicle at this hotel. I was charged $35.00 to valet and proceed to check into my room. while my vehicle was under the control of the Hotel it received a parking ticket. Upon receipt of my vehicle the following day there was no parking ticket on my truck of given to me. I received a notice in the mail a few months later. I proceeded to contact the hotel management, Mr. [redacted] W[redacted], who was absolutely no help. He has lied and issued false statements multiple times to me while I was trying to resolve this issue. I am disgusted with how I was treated. Needless to say, I will never stay at another Clarion Inn again. Especially not the one on 1300 Canal Street.Desired Settlement: I would like to be compensated for the parking ticket I had to pay while they had my vehicle.

I filed a complaint with Royal Valet Services, LLC yesterday as well. I finally got in touch with the owner and the issue has been resolved to my satisfaction. The complaint ID is [redacted].

Review: I have been a Choice Hotel customer for many years. I booked two rooms for 04/04/2014 to 04/07/2014. I drove to New Orleans with a white Chevy 12 passenger rental van. When I checked in, I was told by [redacted](one of the managers) that I will have to pay for parking 16.00 dollars per day(it was going to be included with the rooms), and to put a parking permit on the dashboard so the van would not be towed. I did that, but to my surprise, at midnight the van disappeared from the parking lot. It was towed and I was told that there was no information on the system of the van. This information was given to [redacted] upon arrival. Now I do not know if I am going to be reimbursed for any towing fees, damages to vehicle, and taxi fare to pick up the vehicle. My vacation has been ruined by the lack of communication with the Clarion Inn & Suites New Orleans' staff. A joyful situation has caused me stress, myself and family. Also, it is causing me time and money that I cannot afford to spend for the staff's error.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for my time and money. This should include any fees that have occurred because of the tow. Damages for the vehicle, the towing fees that include any taxes, and reimbursement for the taxi.

Review: I recently stayed at this hotel and immediately there were problems. I couldn't even get in the front door with my suitcases because there is a sign on the door that says guests with luggage should enter through the side door. The side door has a MANUAL DOOR that must be opened which is completely ridiculous because it's nearly impossible to hold a MANUAL DOOR open which trying to roll in 2 suitcases. As I was trying to get in, an employee even came by me and excused herself to by me to go outside. WHY DIDN'T SHE HOLD THE DOORS OPEN FOR ME????? She was completely rude. When I got checked into her room, I quickly discovered there was NO HOT WATER. I had to wait for 2 maintenance guys to show up and "fix" the problem. I was assured it was fixed, but when I tried to use it again, there was still no hot water. One of the maintenance guys showed up again and told me the hot water was working, I just had to wait for it. The wait was 5 MINUTES!!!! I repeatedly asked the guy how long the hot water would last in the shower if I had to wait 5 minutes for it. He just kept saying "yeah". That is not an answer to a question that starts with "how long" and requires a number. It finally told me the hot water would last about 8 minutes in the shower. I told him that was unacceptable and we walked back to the front desk. I explained the problem to [redacted], who claimed to be a manager. She offered to further inconvenience me by moving me to another room but couldn't guarantee I wouldn't have the same problem. She said she would follow up with me the next day but that she didn't come in until noon so she would have [redacted] follow up with me. Of course, I never heard from either one of them. In the survey, I also complained that the free wifi never worked and the breakfast pastries were STALE. My room had a kitchenette but there wasn't even a table to eat at. There was no desk, no chair, the only place to sit was on the bed. [redacted] sent me an email in response to my survey, but ignored my 2 emails back to her.Desired Settlement: I deserve a $250 refund for having to wait so long for hot water and that my repeated complaints WERE IGNORED. I was also flat out lied to because neither [redacted] nor [redacted] ever followed up with me. I couldn't even use the restroom when I needed to because I'd have to wait 5 minutes for the water to get hot so I could wash my hands. The fact that [redacted] also IGNORED my 2 emails proves that she doesn't care about customer service. The breakfast was inedible and the "free" wi-fi never worked.

Review: I just completed my stay at the Clarion in New Orleans. My son's cell phone was stolen from our room on Sunday 9/29/13 sometime between 3:30am and 2:30pm. We had the do not disturb sign on our door so no one should have entered the room. I reported this to the front desk on multiple occasions. The manager was supposed to review the security footage on Monday. The manager did not come to work on Monday. I again filed my complaint this morning. I even left a voicemail for the manager. Still no contact. I am now filing a police report and this Revdex.com complaint. This is just plain rotten service, Due to these delays I am thinking the manager may be in on it.Desired Settlement: Based in this serious issue AND the level of unprofessionalism in dealing with it. I am requesting a new cell phone and a full refund of my stay.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Clarion Inn & Suites regarding complaint ID 9746883, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Manager refused to acknowledge proof that that I was not in my room at the time of the theft. Told me not to waste his time and hung up on me. Then lied to owner about what he had said. Owner said he would make it right. His version of right was to send me a check for 75.00 to cover the cost of half of the phone. I have not cashed the check. The owner needs to pay full replacement of the phone 193.82 and fire the manager who is obviously running a [redacted] out of the hotel.

Review: Reserved 2 rooms and was paid thru paypal. Day of check in hotel only showed one room reserved. Didn't get first room until 6 pm and check and we had to be at a wedding at 6:30. Didn't make wedding. Got 2nd room at midnight. Nothing in the rooms worked. No hot water, no functioning plug outlet. No cleaning of room. Broken ice machine and vending machine. And to top it off even though rooms,were paid for they charged my credit card which was suppose to be used for incidentals the ended up charging me for the room I stayed in which I got around midnight. I have new orleans 5 times and this was the worst hotel I stayed in. Came with friends that were visiting for the first time and it left a bad taste in their mouth. Checking in there was a rude front clerk,and everytime manager said she was fixing things she made it worse.Desired Settlement: I do believe I deserve a full refund for my stay. Some,of us are college students and,we savedo for montha to come and visit new orleans. We feel that for what we paid for was not what we got in service e. I emailed,the manager directly stating my unhappiness that it needs,to be corrected and as of yet I have not gotten a,response.
