Story not completely true. I suffered a severe hand injury in early January on the job site. The project was approx 90% complete at this point. I resumed working in mid - January. The "unfinished work" was additional things added to the original job. I have been paid in full for all the work that...
was completed. The extra things (re-do a stairway, a stair closet, ect...) have not been paid for as this was made clear upon my last payment. Unfortunately, the snow took over as we had a horrific February. The property was virtually unaccesable as [redacted] streets were barely driveable. I did take on other jobs and communicated to the owners that I would return as my scheduled allowed. I have been buried with storm related damage the last several months and admit that I have not returned yet. As far as the electrician, he is a master electrician and all wiring was completed. There has been a problem with the infrared system installed for the flatscreen TV. It is not an electrical problem, but a problem with the components. The owner was advised to contact the maker of the remote that controls the srereo system. It is not an electrical issue. The electrician has called several and left several messages. The only item in my possession is a bifold door that was ordered and arrived during the snow days. The workmanship was never an issue, as I was complimented many times as the job progressed. Any tiles that are not flush is due to an uneven floor. The long style tiles they selected need a perfectly flat level floor. I explained that some of the tiles might be off. Not only were they fine with that, after they were installed, they complimented me on the finished project. There is a small amount of work to be done, but it has not been paid for. We are completely even. Any further work would have been billed as it was not on the original proposal. All these accusations are due to their frustration of my scheduling problems, not with the work. It only has come up now, never at the house.
[redacted] stopped working Jan 10th and has not returned to the property. We did add things to the job during the course of the project, they were added to the invoice and agreed upon by both us and [redacted]. As stated by [redacted], he took on additional projects before completing ours and overextended himself. In terms of electric- the master electrician [redacted] was hired for the full project by [redacted]. There is no issues with the remote or the devices, we had [redacted] come directly to our property to check. It is improperly wired. In addition to the TV not working, we have open live wires in the hallway from lights not being installed. Yesterday we spoke with [redacted] (the electrician) and he said he has not come back to the job to finish the TV or wiring the lights because he was owed $800 by [redacted]. We paid [redacted] in full for the electric work. In addition, yesterday an unfinished random pocket door was left in our backyard. This is not the door we special ordered or paid for, for the closet.
