We are not accepting any fault for this matter. However, in order to close this complaint, Mr. [redacted] has received his money back in full as of 1/25/16.

I am rejecting this response because:Most of this response is a complete fabrication. The truth:1. The company was contacted to work on the heater based on a request I made through my Warranty Company, [redacted].2. [redacted] did provide access to the apartment.3.  He did provide the credit card number. for purposes of billing the fee for the [redacted] visit. But here are the lies:1.  The additional work WAS NOT to make a further repair which [redacted] would not cover.  ANY malfunction would have been covered by the warranty.2.  The credit card WAS NOT provided for anything, but charging the standard [redacted] fee of $65.  That was billed separately as shown on the credit care statement I provided.3.  [redacted] DID NOT approve any extra work to be done.  If the technician would have suggested the additional cleaning (which is what the charge was for), Mr. [redacted] would have come to me for approval before telling the technician to proceed. These people were NEVER given authorization to do any work beyond what was requested through [redacted].  As proof, ask them if they have a signature by [redacted] accepting the additional charges.  They DO NOT unless it is a forgery. They are liars and cheats.

property, diagnosed the issues and then got authorization from the warranty company for the needed repairs. The unit was still not operating properly so further inspection found that it needed additional maintenance repairs that are not covered under the warranty. The person who opened up the house, Mr. [redacted], approved the additional maintenance repairs(not covered under the warranty) , the services were then rendered and Mr. [redacted] then went ahead and provided the credit card information for payment. Clark's has been in business since 1945 and has maintained a good standing in the community for the quality of services they provide.

Review: Two times now this business has had repairman go out to do work and then add in additional charges without authorization. In both stances, the location was a rental unit. In the first situation the tenant asked for additional work to be done and the tech did not get approval from the owner. The company credited that over billing. With this second incident, the tech again did additional work without getting authorization. The over billing was disputed and after three phone calls, no confirmation of a credit has been provided.

This company will over charge customers whenever there is the possibility they will get away with it and all South Lake Tahoe residents need to be aware.Desired Settlement: Credit the credit card for the amount charged without authorization.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because the company's statement is blatantly false. They have complete blame for this issue by doing work which was not approved and then charging my credit card without any notification to me, the customer. I had to find the charge on my credit card and then take action to correct the situation. As for getting my money back, the company had nothing to do with that. I disputed the charge on my credit card and the card company reversed the debit due to the plumbing company having no documentation to support it. The company has already shown you a statement with no signature accepting the charges. Therefore, no proof exists of an approval given for that additional work. This complaint stands and should be available for all consumers to see so they are protected against such outrageous actions.
