Clark Services Windows and Doors Reviews (1)

I hired [redacted] to repair windows in my house on two separate occassions. I am first going to say that [redacted] Services did repair my windows on both occassions but let me tell you about my experience. If you do not have time to read this full review, please read the second to last paragraph as it sums up the issue.

The first time I contacted [redacted] to repair my windows, he was VERY concerned about making sure I would be home when he arrived for the scheduled appointment. That raised a bit of concern because I immediately did not feel like a valued customer. I felt that I was being "screened" or "profiled." When he arrived, he seemed very taken back and apprehensive by me as a person. I don't know if it was my [redacted] but it became apparent that he was more concerned with making the money and getting out the house fast as possible. There was zero customer service or gratitude for my business. There was no small talk or even a simple "Hello".

Well here's my issue, I paid him and he said he would email me a receipt when he made it back to his "office" that evening. I waited and after two days, I called him after I did not receive a receipt. He seemed as if I was bothering him by asking for a receipt (I was selling the house and needed proof the windows were professionally repaired). He eventually sent the receipt but 2 days later.

Three months later, I had him back to repair another window as the house was on the market again. I had one window that needed to be repaired. He previously repaired 3 windows charging me $135. He came and repaired my one window in roughly 10 mins. After the job was completed, I asked him how much I owed him and he said, "$145." I explained that he repaired my other 3 windows for $135. Realizing that he was caught price gouging, he then tried to validate his pricing but offered to reduce the price to $135. After realizing that I was not happy (by remaining quiet with very short responses and asking specific pricing questions), he offered to drop the price to $125. I told him that I would pay him his fee of $135. I upheld my word and paid him $135. I then asked for a receipt, he told me that he would send it when he got back to the office. This was on a Wednesday and I'm writing this review at 12:05am on Saturday morning and have yet to receive the receipt even after calling him yesterday afternoon and having him tell me he would send it that night. Not to mention, he wouldn't even get out of his car to take my money. He expected me to come to his window outside of my bank like we were making an illegal transaction. He didn't even respect me enough to get out of his car to get paid, it was basically, "you come to me."

As a customer, you can expect [redacted] Services to repair your window(s)/door(s). What you should not expect is good customer service, a receipt and appreciation/gratitude for your business. Mr. [redacted] has made $270 off of me without even so much as a simple "hello" or "Thank You". I truly wish I spent my money with a business that respected me as a customer but overall as a person. It makes me sick to know I hired someone that does not respect me enough to say "thank you" or to even give me a receipt. I feel like as a person I wasn't good enough for his respect but my money is green and that's all that mattered to him.

I wrote this review hoping Mr. [redacted] realizes how he treats customers and improves his customer service. When someone spends their hard earned money with you, whether you like them or not, this is business and you should be professional and appreciative that they are doing business with you. As a customer, I will never need you to repair another window or door for me again but as a "small' business owner, you need EVERY single customer you've done business with. I would never refer or hire you again and this would be totally different if you showed me even a small amount of respect and appreciation for my business. When someone pays you, a receipt shouldn't be given on "request". It should be expected that if you perform a service that you should be "paid" and that the customer should receive a "receipt". Apparently you're only concerned about one half of that equation.
