CEO/President,
Peoples Products, Inc

[redacted] signed a contract with our company, and well past their 3 days allotted by law, asked to cancel. I personally called and spoke with both [redacted] and [redacted] on Saturday night, 2/7. I spoke to them about the scope of the work, the promises made, and the fact that we are a 30 year...

old company, quite capable of installing a roof to the full specifications of the [redacted] grade as termed by [redacted] kept saying that our sales manager lied to her, but I do not believe that was the case at all. [redacted] asked our sales manager if the job was the same from the other company, and ours, and our sales manager's answer was yes. Same labor work, same materials. We subscribe and contracted to perform this roof for our customer to the exact same specifications used by any [redacted] contractor by [redacted].
For some reason, [redacted] and [redacted] simply didn't care and wanted to cancel.
[redacted] volunteered that when he was on vacation, he spoke to his father in law, who told him to make sure we were [redacted] and [redacted] certified. This is very odd, as it's never been a request by any other customer, but rather the method that the [redacted] uses to try to differentiate their job from other companies. We asked [redacted] and [redacted] over the phone before our sales manager came out if [redacted] was there at that time attempting to create a contractual interference? She said no, he was not there, yet [redacted] was there, and was still there when 2 members of our company stopped over to address their wanting to cancel.
My feeling is that [redacted] put the bug in the ear of our customer, and our customer became turned off. We have decided not to become [redacted] with [redacted], but to rather simply subscribe to the same installation and material specification of a [redacted]. I feel it is just a cheap selling tool, but I can see that it rented space in the heads of our customer when [redacted] interfered.
If [redacted] and [redacted] want to exit a valid contract, there is a process to do that. Our attorney, [redacted] called [redacted] to discuss it, and [redacted] directed [redacted] to the name and number of her [redacted]. I await hearing back from my attorney before speaking any more about this.
I simply feel that [redacted] and [redacted], as nice as they seemed to be to me when I spoke to them, are trying to use the Revdex.com to pressure our company to let them out of their agreement without any fees.
Why does the law grant a consumer 3 business days to legally exit a valid agreement and not 6? They canceled well beyond their right. I wanted to simply work out a fair and equitable exit, but since [redacted] and [redacted] are making this difficult by filing a complaint which has no validity whatsoever.
I will await the lawyers discussion before further comment. I encourage [redacted] and [redacted] to do the same, as it would seem like the proper thing to do. I am very fair, and will treat them fairly at all times.
[redacted]
