the job was to replace the roof And (3) holes in roof And paint the exterior of the home, once we inspected the roof further we realized the whole backside of the roof was a back to cave-in and wound up being over 40 holes in the roof ( I wish I could upload pictures here ) as the house had been sitting up for 10-15 years I think, with water pouring in all the holes, even the paining couldn't be completed on the back of the house because so much of the Rotten wood had to be replaced and facia boards before any of the painting to be completed. I took pictures and even videos of all the extra damage and extra work that had to be done before the roof could even be put on and Mr. [redacted] was completely fine with everything (as we do not know what is below the surface until we tear the roof off which is always extra for damages unseen) I had to do a lot of the work myself as it was too dangerous for me to put other men on top of the roof until I could get it safe and secure to walk on . Mr. [redacted] came and inspected the job and removed some things from the house and we discussed the extra charges which in November was already up to $1600 above our original agreement and contract and I explained to him that it would be more and I didn't know how much until I put all the braces and plywood in , so we had a very good understanding and everything was fine It did take me longer to finish as a hurt my back on the job and got tendinitis very bad in my left arm , all those things slowed me down but I always kept in close contact and explained everything to Mr. [redacted] and he was fine with the work and everything When I finished the job completely Mr. [redacted] said he was not able to pay me at the time (even though he already knew we were up to $1600 in extra materials and labor back in November and it was gonna be more money at the end) and I would have to wait for him to make payments to me which I agreed to because he was very patient with me and we had a good agreement So it took him over two months to pay me The rest of the money but I was ok with that, because he was patient with me ( and I also gave him a $500 discount off of the extra money due at the end ) The extra materials and labor was $2800 -500 discount, that's the $2300 he's speaking of last week he paid me in full and then asked me to go give him a price on remodeling the whole inside of the house and I explained to him I was booked for four months and maybe more and he got very upset and mad because I couldn't get to him in April ( and yes we did discuss doing the work on the inside around April but I wasn't sure if he was going to do it or be able to afford it and I had already booked my spring and summer schedule ) So until last week everything was fine we had finished the contracts and agreed on everything until he found out that I couldn't or wouldn't work for him anymore that's when he started leaving bad reviews on Homeadvisor and a few other sites So...We try our best to please every customer , even though some people have unrealistic Expectations on pricing and extra work that has to be done And we try to end on a good note But it's not always possible
