Clark's Tire & Automotive Reviews (17)

Our tires do come with a road hazzard warranty. You drove on your tire and ruined the sidewall of it. Also when you called you were swearing up a storm at me and my employees and that is why I hung up on you. I help everyone I can and you set the tone. I'm sorry you feel the way you do again but...

nothing more I can do. I don't allow people to treat me the way you did. I don't appreciate how and what you said via Facebook either. Again it's straight forward on the warranty, maybe check with your insurance. [redacted] clark

The sidewall was damaged by the road hazard...there was no repair possible for that tire, regardless of whether it was driven on or not [redacted] and his employees insinuated that the tire was damaged by someone slashing it...and have been exaggerating the swearing.  They had the tire and rim for multiple business days and came up with no solutions other than to be rude and refuse their road hazard warranty to me and my injured beyond repair tire.

[redacted] and his employees were very rude they all questioned whether I had actually hit a road hazard...they all hung up on me...[redacted] lied to me and said he would call me back in a a little bit then didn't call back...any frustrated and poorly treated customer would be irritated by hang ups false promises and insinuations of tire was not a road hazard...they made no effort to a solution...I  bought a replacement tire  at Discount Tire for $25 less than their [redacted]'s employees best offer and got treated well!  Not the first time I got treated rudely by this business!  My complaint stands.  Look at the negative reviews on Google Maps.  All true!

We installed a used engine last year because of a mouse issue. It jumped the belt and bent the valves. Everything was fine until I received a call from Jeff from gieco insurance stating the trucks at another shop and the timing belt is shredded. I said we'll have him bring it in so we can see what's...

going on! He brought his truck in and one of my master techs found that a piece of the timing cover and broken by the sensor and fellin. It had to of just happened. Because the part was still in his cover and we taped it to our workorder. This was not fault from improper installation or anything, simply a part failed. And you have a cause and an effect. So a plastic part broke and it caused an issue with the belt. I was able to get them to cover the part but no labor, since it wasn't a belt problem. And the sensor was bent and that's why his light was on. Ro my service guy explained that and he ok'd the repairs. Nothing is from faulty workmanship. All new parts come with a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty, we are a certified auto repair shop and everything is covered nationwide from any certified auto shop. If the new water pump had an issue it would of been covered under warranty. I have a hard time believing it jumped 4teeth without causing any engine issues. If he chose to have them repair it that is at his expense and now there would be no warranty coverage. If he kept the old parts we could submit them and they will verify what was wrong and maybe they would cover it, I'm not sure. Tires are under warranty, you must rotate them and rebalance them and check your vehicles alignment to keep the warranty, that's how it is at all tire shops. If a tire prematurely wears out and it's a tire problem they would get pro-rated and price would come off a new set, just like any other tire shop in Spokane. If you don't maintain your vehicle properly then your vehicle or tires will not last. And with as many potholes Spokane has I'm sure that's what caused your tires to wear out.  Again I could try and send them in for an adjustment but if it's not a tire problem then it's a vehicle problem voiding your warranty. Again, like any other tire store in Spokane. Pleaae feel free to contact me if you have any further questions, I'll be at the shop all next week. Thanks chris c[redacted] Chris C[redacted]

Review: car has been there over a month very little work done on it and [redacted] will not return phone calls. details below. On friday september 27 2013 I had my 1994 3000gt vr4 towed to clarks automotive for an overheating issue. Called the following tuesday to get info on the car and an estimate on repairs. They stated that there was a coolant leak behind the engine they had to find/ fix first and they would call me back. No calls, called the following monday [redacted] said he would call back, never did. called wednesday got an estimate and problems with car. I heard nothing from them for a 10 days called them back learn that the crossover piece was back ordered. went down there the 22nd talked with [redacted] said part would be in wed. or thurs. wed got a call from [redacted] and he stated that they just figured out what was wrong and he could order the parts. I told him [redacted] said he already ordered the parts and had given me the estimate he said maybe I should talk to [redacted]. went down there on the 26th talked with [redacted] he said I would have the car fixed on the 27th afternoon. heard nothing from them called friday asked for [redacted]. This has just been a nightmare, it's like pulling teeth to get any info out of these guys.Desired Settlement: to either get my car fixed for the esimate [redacted] gave me ASAP or for them to release the car to me at no charge so I can take it somewhere else that will actually work on and fix my car.

Good Morning,

I spoke with [redacted] and he did not receive my voice mail and I sent him a text also on Monday. We were waiting on special order parts and hoses and I told [redacted] i'd call him when it was finished. I did not hear back from him on Monday at all then he came in Tuesday to pick up his vehicle as it has been done since Friday the 8TH.

Review: I took my car in for a normal oil change my vehicle was totally fine I get my car back after a few hours of waiting I get my car and drive off the lot at the time they close I only got a few miles away from the establishment and my car starts acting different I immediately think they didnt put oil in it, I didn't want to drive my vehicle so I had to tow it home and wait after the weekend was over to contact them due to open hours of business and now my car is there sitting in the lot not getting fix even after getting them the supposed part that was broken I personally don't think the issues that [redacted] is telling me are actually going on with my car and my car has been sitting g in his lot for the past 5 days, my car is not having oil consumption issues I never had to put an extra quart of oil every couple hundred miles and even after giving him the part he states he has to do some other tests to see and does a poor job working with my schedule for example I call during my lunch break and he says he will call in ten minutes and fails to do soDesired Settlement: I want my car back in working order

The customer called me and stated that after her drove it for awhile the lights came on the dash for oil. He never checked his oil level and assumed we didn't put oil in his car. So he poured 3 more qtrs of oil in and drove it and it started making noise and the light came on. I asked him to get it in to us so we could double check it. After checking it over again I told him someone else was working on this as the oil pan bolts were loose and fresh looking gasket sealer was around the oil pan. He said he had just purchased the vehicle a few months ago but never did any work to the car. I did tell him it seams to lose oil pressure and knock. And would need to go to the dealer because we didn't do that type of work. So I towed it for him to the dealer after he said it was ok to do that. He was totally fine with that. And he thanked me for towing it and said talk to you later. If you need anything more please let me know.

Review: I have been a customer of Clark's Automotive since 2011. Every time I take it in , the problem returns, work that was to be done was not satisfactory. There have been serious delays in time vehicle was promised and a rental car necessary at my expense. My car was also sent out for detailing and they did a terrible job on the exterior. Clarks was going to have it redone but never followed through. I have taken it to two independent auto body shops and both have said it has serious buffer burns causing the finish to show swirls. I never heard back from Clarks and have never received a followup call on any work I have had done there. They do not give you a written estimate just a verbal estimate only to have it be much higher. In my case it was to have oil gaskets replaced and when I picked it up 5 days later they had done ignition wires, no mention of oil gasket repair. I took it back for the third time and [redacted] brought out a gasket from the back and said he replaced it. Well, the original problem is still there and I paid 1100.00 for the repair. He seems to get too busy with 19.95 oil changes and keys stacked up along the desk. I don't know if his business grew too fast and he can't follow through, but I have never been called to see how my vehicle is running. I have lost faith and time in getting results. I do not plan to return to Clarks or recommend them to anyone . I regret having to file a negative complaint, but have found it necessary as my experience has not been good.

Review: I took my Daytona 500 Pace car to have a repair done in the engine area. It wasn't fixed properly so I had to send it back a second [redacted]e. The owner [redacted] sent my car to his second shop at [redacted] ###-###-#### to be redone. While my car was there I showed up unexpectedly and a worker was in the process of taking my car to lunch, I walked up and said where you going and when he told me, I said, "no your not that's my car". He was embarrassed and got out. After a month they finally called and said it was ready, After I got it home I happen to notice that my half tank of gas was empty, my spoiler on the back was a complete mess, almost all the clear coating is missing. My bra on the front is torn, the light inside the car door is broken, and when I take off at a light my car does this jumping hesitant thing. One of the workers at [redacted]'s was telling me that I probably need to replace the Supercharger part that makes my car go faster. I can't help but wonder if they were out racing my car around, because it was completely fine when I took it there.

When I first took my car to be repaired, a guy called and said you can either pay $1,300. to have the initial problem fixed or pay $3, 587.88 to get EVERYTHING fixed, I said, "I just want what needs to be fixed done." Well, when I got my car back [redacted]'s charged me $3,658.53, I was shocked and embarrassed at the amount, but I went ahead and paid it because I needed my car back. When I got home I realized [redacted] had over charged an initial $70.65 on top of the EVERYTHING amount. My husband said, "that's the amount that he had to reimburse me for on my truck because it wasn't done right and I had to have someone else fix it. So, not only did he charge me for EVERYTHING to get fixed, but tried to get money back on top of it.

Each [redacted]e that I've had to deal with [redacted]'s they have been courteous to me, but they will NOT take responsibility for their actions. The owner [redacted] had me take my car to his painter to look at the spoiler, and he said, "oh that's normal". I told him, "I've owned this car for over ten years, and it was completely fine, now I get it back after they have had it for a month and all the clear coat is missing, something is not right." The painter guy said, "don't worry about it, that's normal."

I am 100% unsatisfied with the amount that I've had to pay, and for the fact that my car has more problems then when I first took it in for. Thank you kindly, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like to have the refund amount of $2,000.00 back and I would like to have my spoiler, bra and door light repaired. Thank you for asking. I spoke with my employee and looked at it on cameras at the tame you showed up and he was going to lunch -- and not in your vehicle! We don't drive customers vehicles on our personal [redacted]e, period. He stated to you he was going to lunch and was going to test drive it when he returned. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.

As far as the repair goes, I spoke with you and discussed with you all the problems and you did okay the repair and signed the es[redacted]ate. Two months went by when you started to complain about so many issues happening in your life with Mike being sick and in the hospital. Again we discussed that and everything seemed fine.

Review: On August 2013 I brought my kia Rio to Clark's Tire & Automotive. My car had an engine problem the cost would be around $3000.00 I gave a deposit of $500.00 to begin the work, however a few weeks after a drop my car to be fix I desire to get a new one and sale the Kia. I spoke to [redacted] the owner of Clark's Tire & Automotive of my dentition and he agree to reimburse the $500.00 that I previous deposit to him to fix my car. He told me would take at least 15 day for him to get my deposit back, since then [redacted] have being lies to me about when the deposit is going to be credit to my Credit card. for one year and five moths. I had called, emailed, write to him walk in personal to this business to get my deposit back and he have keep lie to me making thousand of excuse of why the money is not being credit yet. on December 1. I walk in to the business with my credit card requesting [redacted] to refund my money back he pretend that the money would be there until today the money have not in my account yet. and again he making lies about that the money would be in my account. I feel offend of the fact that he is keep lie to me about when the money would be. this is unacceptable no customer should go trough this.Desired Settlement: I will like my money be credit back to my account as we agree.

Response:

After the customer changed their mind I was able to get rid of the parts we ordered in and tried to refund her card. The credit would never go through. When she came back in we updated her card info and did issue a credit. The customer did call me to confirm. So im not sure about both of these complaints ? Thanks

Review: So I went to [redacted]s automotive to have my water pump replaced. I spent over 1500$ and a week later and having to call multiple times to see what the status was on my car. When I finally got my car back, my check engine light was on. I was told it was my mass air flow sensor was needing to be replaced. I thought that was strange because I just had it replaced a couple months ago. Still I said ok and paid to have that problem fixed. that took 5 days later and when I drove my car off their lot a mile down the road the check engine light went right back on. This happened twice and both times it took multiple days to fix. The light is still on and my car is running like crap. I now having problems with my tail lights because of a wiring issue do to them attempting to fix my car stereo that wouldn't turn on after they have worked on my car multiple times. When I took it back the second time they had my car for 5 more days when I called to check status on it the only thing they worked on was the stereo and claimed they were unaware of other issues I had,(the check engine light) When I looked at my mass air flow sensor it seemed to be the same one that was originally in there. I believe that it wasn't replaced but just reset by diagnostic. They have not showed any concern or compassion to this issue. I will try to give them one more time to fix this problem. If not resolved I will not ever go back but make sure it is my mission to let other people know about the unprofessional work that was done.Desired Settlement: Fix the problem with my car that was paid for and fix the problems that was caused by your shop and in a timely manner.

Hello, I had spoken with [redacted] about his vehicle last Sunday. He stated it ran rough again and I said most likely the part we installed had been defective and I'd replace it under warranty. He said he would be in this past Tuesday at 4:00 pm and to this day being Friday still has not shown up. I explained parts can be defective and we would warrantee it at no charge. He was fine with that. Also we would never say we were replacinging a part and not do it. so please let me know a time and date and we will take care of you. As far as other issue with radio we didn't do anything with it but would be glad to inspect it.

I would just like to thank the lovely people at Clark's Tite and Auto. My wife had a check engine light come on today in her Ford Focus. She pulled into Clarks and asked if there was anyway someone could take a look at her car really quick as she was on her way to work. The owner [redacted] himself reassured my wife that he would be right with her. By the time she had gotten a cup of coffee and went to sit down he had came back in and said she was all ready to go. The engine light had come in due to the fact her gas cap was loose. So he tightened it up and reset the check engine light, at no charge. Wow, I personally want to thank him for taking the time to treat my wife with total compassion and care. Thanks again. A new customer for life!!!!!

Review: On November 7, 2014, my 2000 Honda Accord became inoperable near the location of Clark’s Tire and Automotive when the drive belt appeared to have broken and fallen off. I was able to drive the car as far as Clark’s Tire, where it was left for repair. Later that day, I received a call from someone at Clark’s telling me that the drivebelt had stripped the pulley, and that both the power steering pump and the pulley would need to be replaced. Prior to this, I had never had any sort of power steering system problem with the car in the nearly 10 years I had owned it.

On November 12, I received a call that the car had finally been repaired. Later that day, I paid $312.27 for the repair and parts on my Visa debit card. I went to car and turned the ignition and was shocked by several different loud noises coming from under the hood: (1) the power steering system was whining and grinding like a buzz saw, (2) several tumbling sounds like unattached metal parts moving around the drive belt area, and (3) an awful combination of rattling and buzzing noises coming from the pulley itself, sounding like it would rip off at any moment.

I immediately returned to the front desk where I was informed that these were normal noises for these kinds of used parts. Yes, used junkyard parts, taken from a broken down Honda Accord which had been sitting around a junkyard in Tri-Cities for who knows how many years. I had never been informed that these parts, critical to the operation of my engine and steering systems, would come from a rusty old junkyard vehicle. I had logically used assumed that legitimately remanufactured or factory parts would be used. I had never heard any reputable business using junkyard parts so routinely that they did not even bother to inform customers. After much discussion, I was asked to just drive it for a few days while the noises worked themselves out.

On November 17, all of the noises from the pulley and power steering system had not ceased, and had actually become more noticeable. I took the car back to Clark’s and spoke to one of the mechanics on duty, who clearly stated that the pulley clearly sounded defective and should be replaced under warranty. Instead, someone else worked on the vehicle and performed a simple “burping” procedure to get the air out of power steering system. This procedure did nothing to improve the noise or performance. As for the pulley, not only had it not been repaired, it had been sprayed and covered with white lithium grease. Any competent mechanic would never use lithium grease on a drive belt. Any kind of grease compromises the life and integrity of the belt, and causes slippage of the belt which can damage the entire system. They had used so much of the grease that it had splattered all over the engine and other parts.

On November 24, none of the problems with the power steering pump or pulley had improved at all. I returned to Clark’s where they performed another sort of simple burping procedure, which did nothing. And the rattling, buzzing junkyard pulley was simply ignored again. I was reassured that over time these noises and adjustments would improve the more the car was driven. So, on the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, I began to drive the car to Portland. I only drove about 80 miles before the noises from the pump and pulley became so loud that I had to turn around and come back to Spokane, alone for the holiday.

On December 2, I returned to Clark’s yet again. This time, they did not even bother to look at the vehicle. I asked for the parts to be replaced. I was told they would only do at my expense, because they had accused me of using oil in the power steering system. Completely false and insulting. I was done dealing with Clark’s at that point.

Through January of 2015, I was out of town much of the time, and did not drive the vehicle much. When I began driving the car more regularly in mid to late January, the pulley was beginning to quit working altogether. When the car was cold in the morning, the drive belt and pulley would often not start at all. The car could not be driven at those times because of the risk of overheating without a functioning pulley and drive belt.

On February 4, 2015, the weather was suitable for the drivebelt to start. I drove the car to Clark’s to demand a new pulley be installed. They took the car around back to do something to the steering rack, yet they could not explain why it had anything to do with the pulley. Around 45 minutes later, I was told that now I needed a new steering rack, which could cost well over $600. How could they have looked at and worked on the power steering system four times before and it never needed a new rack then? If there was any damage to the rack, it had to have been a result of driving with a defective and improperly installed junkyard power steering pump. Their explanation again returned to fabricated oil in the system allegations. They offered to replace the pump and pulley with more junkyard parts only if I agreed to pay for the expensive steering rack replacement. I obviously declined because I never wanted anyone from Clark’s ever touching my vehicle again.

Less than two miles after leaving Clark’s, my check engine light began flashing, the engine started sputtering and quit running. In the nearly ten years that I have owned the vehicle, I have never once had the check engine light flash. Nor have I ever had any sort engine failure. Whether accidental or intentional, the problem had to have been caused by the undisclosed work and/or tampering that had just been done at Clark’s. The next morning, the car was towed to Clark’s so they could fix whatever damage they had caused.

A day and a half passed before anyone even bothered to take a look at the car. I finally got through to the manager by phone. He told me that three engine coils had failed all at the same time. $260 cost. Purely coincidence to the work they had done. Yeah sure. I called two other mechanics for an opinion. Three engine coils going at the same time would be extremely rare, and neither of them had ever seen it happen. The odds of three engine coils going at the same time immediately after leaving a garage where the power steering system had just been worked on? So incredibly small that no one could ever place odds on it. Nearly impossible. There would be a long list of possible causes, but it would also be nearly impossible to prove any of them.

Since the car was inoperable and the price of the repairs was not entirely unreasonable, I pretty much had no choice but to allow Clark’s to get the engine running again. I told the manager I would like to have the coils after they were replaced, as well as a list of the engine codes for the repairs. He agreed and said the car would be ready at 4pm that afternoon. I arrived at 3:30pm and the manager was already gone for the day. No coils, no engine codes. I paid the $260 just to get away from Clark’s for the last time.Desired Settlement: I am being extremely reasonable in only asking for the original repair charges, as well as the cost of the drive belt which was damaged with lithium grease. The original charge was $312.27, and the approximate cost of a new drive belt will be $24. If I have to go through the court system, I will be asking for all of the costs caused by the installation of the defective junkyard parts. Including a new steering rack, the damaged engine coils, my time and missed work, taxi fares, and other costs.

[redacted], I'LL START THIS RESPONSE TO YOU WITH THIS, I WON'T BE REFUNDING ANYTHING TO YOU AND IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GO TO COURT THAT IS FINE WITH ME. I / WE DON'T APPRECIATE BEING LIED TO AND I TAKE THAT PERSONAL. ON NOVEMBER 7TH 2013 YOU BROUGHT IT IN FOR A NOISE THAT HAPPENED AND BROKE YOUR BELT. THAT NOISE WAS A BAD POWER STEERING PUMP PULLEY THAT HAD BROKEN OFF AND BROKE YOUR BELT OFF. WHEN MY STORE MANAGER, DOUG CALLED YOU AND SAID THE NEW PART WAS A 5-7 DAYS DAYS OUT YOU SAID IT WAS TOO MUCH MONEY AND YOU ASKED IF WE COULD FIND A USED ONE. AND THAT USED ONE CAME FROM SPALDINGS ONE DAY OUT. ONCE WE TOOK IT APART WE FOUND OUT THAT YOUR VEHICLE HAD THE WRONG FLUID IN IT, AND YOU KNEW THAT FROM THE BEGINNING. SO WE FLUSHED OUT YOUR SYSTEM THE BEST THAT WE COULD AND INSTALLED THE USED ONE. THE USED PUMP HAD SOME NOISE TO IT AND WE DID ASK YOU TO DRIVE IT AND RETURN SO WE CAN RECHECK IT. WHEN YOU RETURNED AND WE CHECKED IT THE FLUID LOOKED BAD AGAIN AND WE REFLUSHED IT AND IT DID SOUND BETTER. THEN AFTER AWHILE I COULD NOT TELL YOU WHEN, YOU CAME BACK WITH THE NOISE AGAIN AND WE RECHECKED IT AND FLUSHED IT OUT YET AGAIN. AND I, [redacted] TOLD YOU THE PUMP IS MAKING NOISE BUT THE RACK STILL NEEDS REPLACED. YOU ASKED ME HOW MUCH FOR THE RACK AND I TOLD YOU ABOUT 600.00 OR SO. THEN I SAID THAT I'D CALL AND GET ANOTHER PUMP OR WE CAN DO A REBUILT AND JUST CHARGE YOU THE DIFFERENCE AND YOU SAID NO I'LL WAIT UNTIL I DO THE RACK AND DO IT ALL AT ONE TIME. THOSE WERE YOUR WORDS TO ME! THEN THE NEXT TIME I HEAR FROM YOU, YOUR CAR STARTED TO RUN ROUGH AND LIGHT FLASHING. I SAID I'M SORRY TO HEAR THIS AND TOW IT IN SO WE CAN LOOK AT IT. I ALSO STATED IF THE POWER STEERING PUMP CAUSED IT WE WOULD JUST WARRANTY IT AT THE SAME TIME. ONCE WE GOT YOUR VEHICLE IN HERE WE INSPECTED IT AND YOU HAD 3 CODES IN YOUR SYSTEM ALL MISFIRE CODES AS I STATED TO YOU AT THAT TIME. I TOLD YOU THAT YOU COULD HAVE 3 COIL ISSUES BUT NEEDED TO REPLACE ONE AND CLEAR YOUR CODE AND DRIVE IT TO VERIFY THAT ITS FIXED. YOU SAID YOU HAD TO THINK ABOUT IT AND YOU WOULD CALL ME BACK. THEN YOU CALLED ME BACK AND ASKED HOW THE COIL COULD GO BAD AND I TOLD YOU THEY WERE ORIGINAL AND NEVER REPLACED, PARTS DO WEAR OUT. ALSO I SAID IT'S LIKE WHEN A CUSTOMER BRINGS US A CAR TO TEST THE BRAKES AND A BELT BREAKS. THINGS HAPPEN AND I AM SORRY AND I THOUGHT UNTIL I READ THIS THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD THAT ALSO. YOU WERE FINE WITH THE CHARGE WHEN I SPOKE WITH YOU AND SAID GO AHEAD AND FIX IT AND YOU WOULD DO THE REST LATER. JUST LIKE I HAD SAID IN THE BEGINNING, I DON'T APPRECIATE THE TONE OF YOUR EMAIL AND AM QUITE SHOCKED!!! [redacted]

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received, your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]

Dear Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

For much too long, I had given this business the benefit of the doubt, hoping that they were simply very incompetent at what they do. I can see now that I was wrong. Clark’s Tire and Auto clearly chooses to operate in an unethical and blatantly dishonest manner. I will not bother to respond to each of the many outright lies in the manager’s response. I will only reiterate the essential basic facts of this situation for the sake of clarification, simply to warn other potential consumers of how this company does business.

I have to think any positive reviews for this business must be representatives of the company, or perhaps customers paid off with discounts to post a review. This is the most incompetent and dishonest auto repair shop I have ever dealt with. Everything they have touched has come out the shop needing more repairs than when the car went in, and some of them very costly to fix. They deny and lie about all of the damage they caused. Terrible communication, often rude, and your car may sit there for days before they even look at it.
Worst experience ever!

Since I have moved here from California I have yet to find an honest automotive and tire shop till I came to [redacted]'s Tire and Automotive shop in Spokane Valley the owner [redacted] is an amazing and honest guy how he treated my wife and I was 120% better then I could have asked for I will defiantly spread the word about this amazing business [redacted] is not only very honest but amazing prices and all an all an awesome environment and staff they all work hard and there for you like they all should be but this is the only place I have ever found in my 32 years of living great business and unless you have no clue what honest and amazing business is....this is the only one I know of....

Review: I bought Michelin Defender 90000 mile warranty tires from Clark's tire about 1 year ago...[redacted] Clark assured me I had road hazard protection on my tires at the time of sale. First complaint is that there is no odometer reading on my receipt for the tires. Second complaint is that I hit a piece of metal or something during the storm that took out so much power and it left a large gash in the sidewall of my tire...since I was on the appleway side if the Sprague/Appleway couplet and driving on the road...that should qualify as a road hazard...I tried to change my tire out behind the business Autorow but could not get the security lug but off...so then I limped the car to Les Schwab...they put my spare tire on. Clark's Tire and Auyotive refuses to road hazard the tire...regardless of roadhazard damage being unrepairable...it would be a complete new tire regardless of driving on it or not...they will not stand by their claim of roadhazard warranty...which I would not have bought the tires there had I known. I m purchasing a tire elsewhere as they have come up with no solutions or provided a decent customer service other than treating me like I slashed my own tire...then drove on it.Desired Settlement: Refund for all tires...I would like to purchase tires where there is an actual road hazard warranty as promised by [redacted] Clark

Response:

Our tires do come with a road hazzard warranty. You drove on your tire and ruined the sidewall of it. Also when you called you were swearing up a storm at me and my employees and that is why I hung up on you. I help everyone I can and you set the tone. I'm sorry you feel the way you do again but nothing more I can do. I don't allow people to treat me the way you did. I don't appreciate how and what you said via Facebook either. Again it's straight forward on the warranty, maybe check with your insurance. [redacted] clark

Review: 10/5/2013 I had my vehicle towed to [redacted]'s because my engine had died. They determined that I needed to have a replacement engine put in my vehicle as the old one was beyond repair. I agreed. In the first few weeks I would call to get updates and I was told that the engine was on its way and it shouldn’t be long. In the week of 11/11/2013 I called for an update and was informed that the engine they had originally ordered was broken and they were waiting for a second engine. Third week of December they informed me that the new engine had arrived and was being installed. Finally on 12/20/2013 I paid $2300.12 for parts and labor and drove my truck off the lot. I had to take it back a couple of times to have coolant leaks fixed. 3/20/2013, on my way home from work the engine they had installed 90days ago had blown something. I towed it back to [redacted]’s for repair because [redacted], the owner, said he would cover me for 1 year parts and labor if I had any problems. A couple days later I called him for an update and he said that he was trying to get an engine without additional cost from the company he bought the engine from in the first place. He said that he was running into problems because they put a 90day warranty on the motor he bought and I drove it for about 93days. I can understand why he wouldn't want to pay for a new one… a few weeks goes by and once again I call for an update and he had put in ANOTHER engine and when they test drove it the new replacement motor was bad. It is 5/28/2014, my problems started on 10/5/2013, three engines and no fixed vehicle. My vehicle is still in the possession of [redacted]'s, I am not called about updates. My wife and I leave messages when the owner is unavailable and we are not contacted back. The only time we get any semblance of an update is when the owner is at the front desk when we call.Desired Settlement: Originally I had paid $2300.12 for a new engine to be installed so that I had a working vehicle. Everything started in October of last year and I still do not have a working vehicle. My wife last contacted the owner on 5/22/2014 asking for some sort of resolution and the owner proposed that we eat the cost for a new engine and not a used one because they are hard to find with low mileage. We have tried to contact him this week leaving messages and hoping for a call back to try and work something out. IF [redacted]’s could not do the work for what they charged me they should have said so months ago and offered a refund. At this point I want a full refund of $2300.12 or [redacted]’s can purchase me a new motor and not a used one without charging me anything further. If [redacted]’s will issue me a refund, I will tow my truck to another company who can repair my vehicle. 8 Months of problems. Multiple towing. Days missing work due to not having a working vehicle. This situation is beyond just money. It has put a huge negative impact on my families lives.

Update: Called and spoke with [redacted] one last time before submitting complaint to Revdex.com. He said that he found another used motor and was making sure it was in working condition before having it shipped for install. He said he would call me back after 4:30 to give me a update. As promised in the past I received no call.
