Clarkston Glass

My experience dealing with Clarkston Glass was very disappointing! #1 - they obviously do not hold customer service as important since they are not open on Saturdays and only open M-F from 8 to 5. In our mobile society, this is unacceptable for anyone that works out of town. #2 - I took off work go to Clarkston Glass for a glass replacement for my patio table. I was advised by the receptionist that they had this "wonderful plexi product" to use instead of glass. At her recommendation, we ordered the plexi product. She also suggested we bring the table down to the store so they could perfectly fit the plexy to our table frame since some are not exactly rectangle. We arranged for our brother to take the frame down. The plexy was cut and our brother delivered to us and the frame. When we arrived home from work he called and said they suggested that we might want to put something on the top since it was pretty flimsy. We removed the plastic from both sides and put it onto the table and immediately realized that if we did put anything on the plexi table top, it would bend and break! It is completely non-practical and un-usable! #3 - my husband called to suggest to Inland Glass that the plexi is not an appropriate substitution for a patio table, to which they told him basically "too bad" and we will have to get a piece of ply wood for the table and then put the plexi on top of it and then put a table cloth on it all!! We asked why they didn't call us to say that the top would not work. All of this is totally unacceptable customer service again!!

DO NOT RECOMMEND A PRDUCT THAT IS SUB-STANDARD AS A REPLACEMENT!
