Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The speedometer and the depth finder was not operational from the beginning of the boat rentalI should have refused the boat when we got on it and was told that some things on the boat didn't work and there was damage done to the motor I was too naive and trusting There was also some trash on the boat, which we threw awayI did receive $refund, so I was charged $for damages that were already done to the boat My brother in law also phoned the company on the day I was charged and the woman who spoke to him was very rude to him The lady told him they would consider only charging me $100, but then later said to him when he tried to nicely express how he felt in this situation, "In that case, we will charge you the full $200." Additionally, I have only been contacted once on 7/11/and left a message I was not contacted times as the business stated I do not feel as if I should have been charged anything to damages that were previously done to the boat Regards, [redacted]

Business called stated that weeks ago they reached out to the manufacturer to send the battery charger and received confirmation yesterday 5/15/that the part has been shipped and will take to days to receiveAlso stated that an email was sent to Mr*** to find out if he wants the pump
replaced that pumps out water (it wont turn off) If Mr*** wishes to have this part replaced he will have to pay for it since it isn't covered under warrantyMr*** was contacted weeks ago to find out if he wishes to have this part replaced

I am responding to a complaint from Ms*** ***I apologize for my delay in responding to this complaint as I was out of town all last weekMs*** redeemed a gift certificate that we had donated to a local non-profit last year for a complimentary rental of a 20’ pontoon boatThe gift
certificate was to be used for the organization's silent auction and states “Minimum Bid $100.00”. Per our Watercraft Rental Agreement, which Ms*** filled out and signed, all customers are subject to a $damage deposit which we take in the form of the renter’s credit card information which we hold until the boat is returned and checked inI am unclear as to what Ms*** means when she states that the boat she was “given was pretty torn up.” Our rental boats get a lot of use but we make necessary repairs as soon as possible, they are deep cleaned weekly and each renter receives a walk through prior to leaving the dock with the boatIt was during this walk through that our associate, Amber, recalls the depth-finder was operationalThe transducer for the depth finders on our rental boats are located on the bottom of a pontoon at the rear of the boat which means that piece is not visible or accessible while the boat is in the waterThis location also makes the transducer vulnerable to being damaged or displaced easilyIt is not uncommon for a speedometer to not work however, due to how easily the small tube that feeds the speedometer gets clogged with debrisAdditionally our records show that this speedometer had not been checked upon it’s most recent check-inI regret that Ms*** had an unsavory interaction with our associate but it is often the case that an individual is displeased upon learning that they will incur additional chargesThe associate that Ms*** spoke with had already forewarned us as to Ms***’s discontent as she had hung up on our associate when she was informed that we would be charging her for the damageThe next day a family member of Ms***’s who had been in her party on the rental boat stopped by our shop seeking more information regarding the transducerHe was very pleasant and I thanked him for reaching out to us and also told him we would consider reducing the amount of the damage fee to $to more accurately reflect the cost of replacing the transducer but not the cost of repairing the speedometerWe indeed decided to refund $to Ms*** and processed that transaction that afternoonWe reached out to Ms*** a total of three times now, specifically requesting her to contact us and we have not yet received a responseOur records indicate that the $refund we issued Ms***’s card has been processedWe sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding that there may have been on our part and hope that Ms*** and her family enjoyed their day on the lake here.Sincerely,Brandi T***Clarksville Water Sports434-374-

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The speedometer and the depth finder was not operational from the beginning of the boat rental. I should have refused the boat when we got on it and was told that some things on the boat didn't work and there was damage done to the motor.  I was too naive and trusting.  There was also some trash on the boat, which we threw away. I did receive $100 refund, so I was charged $100 for damages that were already done to the boat.  My brother in law also phoned the company on the day I was charged and the woman who spoke to him was very rude to him.  The lady told him they would consider only charging me $100, but then later said to him when he tried to nicely express how he felt in this situation, "In that case, we will charge you the full $200." Additionally, I have only been contacted once on 7/11/16 and left a message.  I was not contacted 3 times as the business stated.  I do not feel as if I should have been charged anything to damages that were previously done to the boat.
Regards,
