We rented a Mercedes/Winnebago RV for two weeks. It was a total disaster. Air Conditioner, toilet, sink, faucet, DEF leak, sewage leak, plus others. We rented a Mercedes/Winnebago RV for two weeks at a cost of over $4000. It was a total disaster. Here's the short version listing of the problems. The long version is several pages.1. RV air conditioner broke on the first day.2. Toilet overflowed, causing flood on floor. Could not connect to external water without flooding, and requiring constant monitoring and turning internal tank pump on and off to flush bowl or use sink water.3. Toilet sink drained very slowly, causing it unusable.4. Kitchen sink nozzle broken and control arm malfunctioned, causing unit unusable.5. Main room TV inoperative, plus antenna crank broke off when attempting deployment.6. Bed sheets didn't fit properly. Had to improvise and sleep without proper bedding.7. Hubcap came loose, then fell off while driving, causing severe vibration and dangerous driving condition.8. Significant dust on all open horizontal storage surfaces, making them unusable.9. A several gallon DEF (Diesel Emission Fluid) container leaked into the storage area, causing contamination to golf equipment and disruption to golf outings. It was very sticky and caused eye irritation. Multiple scrubbing with hot soapy water only marginally effective. Sticky residue and eye irritation persisted throughout rental period.10. While in motion, the bathroom door comes loose and bangs around until blocked with heavy box.11. Entry door stuck in lock position, having to be unlocked by tow service.12. Windshield washer mechanism dysfunctional.13. Propane alarm malfunctioned, causing alarm to go off multiple times from midnight to 5AM on several nights.14. Waste dump hose had open split, causing sewage waste to spew out several feet into the air when evacuating waste tank. (This was the grossest of all).Desired SettlementRefund of entire rental.Refund of $470 out of pocket expense for repairs.Payment of $600 for replacement of damaged property.Business Response December 04, 2015[redacted]RE: Case #[redacted], [redacted]Our office has responded to [redacted] regarding a dispute with the above mentioned customer. Attached is the letter we provided to their office. [redacted] claims to have had multiple problems with his rental unit, yet he obtained the rental for the full term. Furthermore, all complaints were proven inaccurate on [redacted]. The list he provided to your office is exceeding the original complaint(s) to our office. nor has [redacted] provided any type of receipts for out of pocket expenses he also claims. The rental period was from 10/02-10/16 2015 with a total cost of $4,326.39, which includes a deposit of $500.00 returned to the customer upon return of the unit and process. I returned $414.71 of the deposit, minus $85.29 for going over the allotted miles, which is standard procedure.
