I was told that I was approved for a car and that I needed $1,or better for a deposit, and now the dealership is backtracking and saying I need a complete different cosigner

Requesting Revdex.com assistance to support a consumer issue regarding a voided warrantyMy wife and I purchased a *** *** in January Our vehicle is certified through *** and therefore qualified for a discounted wrap coverage offer *** Classic offered usWe are dealing with the Finance Manager (Sean ***) through the entire processWe signed the warranty service contract and payed for the coverage in full on 1/21/We received the signed contract that included full coverage of the vehicle for years or 100,miles
Roughly six months after this agreement was reached Sean called and explained there may be a complication with the warrantyHe assured us not to be concerned because he will transfer the warranty to another provider with the same coverage at no additional cost
After not receiving a follregarding the updated coverage, I spoke with Sean at the dealerHe explained everything is still good, the coverage will be transferred to the new provider at the

Per ***'s warranty administration company we are not allowed to sell the warranty this customer is requestingThe warranty in question is only available to purchase from the dealership the customer purchases the vehicle fromHe did not purchase his vehicle from usThe customer was made aware of this as soon as the information was provided to usWe returned the customers money in its' entirety*** dealerships are independently owned and operated, so there is nothing we can do as far as speaking to another dealer on his behalfIf he wants to purchase the warranty in question he needs to speak with the *** dealership he purchased his vehicle from

Mr. [redacted] reached out to us for information on purchasing an extended warranty on his recently purchased [redacted] vehicle. Mr. [redacted] did not purchase his vehicle from us, he purchased it from a different [redacted] dealership. We were misinformed by [redacted]'s extended warranty provider that we could sell a "wrap"...

warranty even if the vehicle was not purchased from us. Once we were made aware, we notified the customer that we could not move forward with the extended "wrap" warranty purchase. We offered to sell a warranty to the customer from a different warranty provider. The customer told us that he had to "look it over". We offered to refund their money at that time, but they wanted to review the other warranty options first. We did not receive a response by the end of the year, so we elected to refund the customers money. This was explained to the Mr. [redacted] multiple times by Sean [redacted] the Sales & Finance Manager at Classic [redacted].

Mr. [redacted] is confusing us with another Toyota Dealership. When he visited us he showed us the emails from Fox Lake Toyota that mentioned he was approved. We did not tell the customer he was approved. If the customer has any questions we would be happy to speak with him.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The issue is beyond the ability for this dealership to provide the original warranty. Although, this dealer did not communicate until months after the signed contract, we still opted to go with an equivalent warranty the dealer was providing from another vendor. We were told this would be at no cost to us to make up for the mistake that took place on the dealer’s side. A refund does not provide us coverage for the vehicle rather puts the burden on the customer to find another warranty and pay the difference. I am requesting the difference for an equivalent warranty to be paid for by the faulty party ([redacted] Classic). I have done some research into options we were considering prior to signing the [redacted] warranty over a year ago, and the cost for the equivalent is now upwards of $1,900. The refund provided a year after the original purchase does not cover the difference it would cost to purchase similar coverage.
Sincerely,
Ryan [redacted]
