Thank you for your recent letter regarding Mr [redacted] complaintI have enclosed all of the correspondences that I have had with him, and with his attorney's office, regarding the matter. With regards to Mr [redacted] complaints:The motor is rebuiltThis is trueNowhere in our listings do we state that this is a new starterAs seen in the email to Mr [redacted] dated 10/1/(1:02pm), I responded to Mr [redacted] statement, clarifying that the manufacturer "stopped making this size a few years ago"Even with this, we offer a warranty on any defect of the productPlease note that my correspondence with Mr [redacted] occurred months before he stated to the Revdex.com that I never replied to his inquiries!"The part I received was not anything like the part that I removed from the TR4".This too is trueThis is because I sell a newer Nippondenso (Japanese) aftermarket starter for vintage Triumph (British) automobilesThe original starter was produced by the Lucas companyEvery vintage british automobile owner knows thisThe running joke is that the Lucas company is known as "The Prince of Darkness", due to its poor quality.Mr [redacted] purchased his starter from the [redacted] websiteThe exactlink to his starter is as follows: He also references this same starter on our other website, Classic Car Performance[redacted] Inboth websites, the starter we sell looks EXACTLY like the starter shipped to Mr[redacted] (see email from Mr [redacted] with attached photo dated 9/29/11:23pm).We never claimed that our aftermarket starter looks like the originalOur website photos confirm this. The claim that Mr [redacted] emailed me multiple times and that it was never answered is flatly falseMr [redacted] emailed me twice (9/26/& 9/29/2015)I responded to both emailed and, as stated in my reply on 10/1/2015, that I would take the starter back and refund him in fullI included the return shipping information in that same email.I asked Mr [redacted] if he tried installing the starter we provided himHe did not answer that question, which leads me to believe that he is basing this complaint on the fact that the aftermarket starter that we have been successfully selling worldwide for 14+ years to Triumph TRowners simply does not look like the starter that was designed and manufactured in the 1950's.In closing, we are still willing to take the starter back and offer Mr [redacted] a full refund on his purchaseYou can see this both in the direct correspondence that we had with Mr [redacted] , and in the letter that we dispatched to his attorney's office(letter to Mr [redacted] - see attached)Like Mr [redacted] , we are classic car ownersOur parts are available to allow these beautiful machines to function as well or better than with the original equipment. You have my permission to publish all documents included in this letter so the general public can see that we are trying to work with Mr [redacted] to resolve this matterAnd please reach out to me with any additional questionsI am happy to try to help resolve this matter in any way possible.Best Regards, Dave [redacted] , Owner, BritishStarters.com, ClassicCarPerformance.com

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. In addition, from the documentation provided by Mr***, he did try to contact meI did not see the email that he sent meThat is not to say that he didn't send it and that the mail may have been misdiagnosed as spam and not passed on for my viewing.I subsequently received his response to my lawyer and am sending the motor starter back to him.Thank you for following through on this and I hope that this incident does not reflect badly on MrAustin nor his businessRegards, *** ***

Thank you for your recent letter regarding Mr. [redacted] complaint. I have enclosed all of the correspondences that I have had with him, and with his attorney's office, regarding the matter. With regards to Mr. [redacted] complaints:1. The motor is rebuilt. This is true. Nowhere in our listings do we...

state that this is a new starter. As seen in the email to Mr. [redacted] dated 10/1/2015 (1:02pm), I responded to Mr. [redacted] statement, clarifying that the manufacturer "stopped making this size a few years ago". Even with this, we offer a warranty on any defect of the product. Please note that my correspondence with Mr. [redacted] occurred 2.5 months before he stated to the Revdex.com that I never replied to his inquiries!2. "The part I received was not anything like the part that I removed from the TR4".This too is true. This is because I sell a newer Nippondenso (Japanese) aftermarket starter for vintage Triumph (British) automobiles. The original starter was produced by the Lucas company. Every vintage british automobile owner knows this. The running joke is that the Lucas company is known as "The Prince of Darkness", due to its poor quality.Mr. [redacted] purchased his starter from the [redacted] website. The exactlink to his starter is as follows:  He also references this same starter on our other website, Classic Car Performance.[redacted]. Inboth websites, the starter we sell looks EXACTLY like the starter shipped to Mr.[redacted] (see email from Mr. [redacted] with attached photo dated 9/29/2015 11:23pm).We never claimed that our aftermarket starter looks like the original. Our website photos confirm this. The claim that Mr. [redacted] emailed me multiple times and that it was never answered is flatly false. Mr [redacted] emailed me twice (9/26/2015 & 9/29/2015). I responded to both emailed and, as stated in my reply on 10/1/2015, that I would take the starter back and refund him in full. I included the return shipping information in that same email.I asked Mr. [redacted] if he tried installing the starter we provided him. He did not answer that question, which leads me to believe that he is basing this complaint on the fact that the aftermarket starter that we have been successfully selling worldwide for 14+ years to Triumph TR4 owners simply does not look like the starter that was designed and manufactured in the 1950's.In closing, we are still willing to take the starter back and offer Mr. [redacted] a full refund on his purchase. You can see this both in the direct correspondence that we had with Mr. [redacted], and in the letter that we dispatched to his attorney's office(letter to Mr. [redacted]- see attached). Like Mr. [redacted], we are classic car owners. Our parts are available to allow these beautiful machines to function as well or better than with the original equipment. You have my permission to publish all documents included in this letter so the general public can see that we are trying to work with Mr. [redacted] to resolve this matter. And please reach out to me with any additional questions. I am happy to try to help resolve this matter in any way possible.Best Regards, Dave [redacted], Owner, BritishStarters.com, ClassicCarPerformance.com
