Classic Carpet Cleaners

Review: We had our carpets cleaned on Friday, 9/**/2013. Since the carpets were wet for all of Friday evening and most of Saturday, we did not put our belongings back to their orginal positions until Sunday/Monday. We have an electric wood based fireplace, when I went to replace the items beside the fireplace, I noticed that on either side of the fireplace there are 2 chucks of missing wood. Additionally, the footings of the base are scratched and scraped. It appears this was done with with machine that was used to clean the carpets. I called and left a message to which I received no response. I called back again and finally got [redacted], the owner on the phone who said I needed to call [redacted], the worker, as he is responsible for any damage done when working in homes. I called [redacted] who said he had to speak to [redacted]. I had my husband call them back because I was not satisfied with this back and forth. My husband spoke to [redacted], who said that they ([redacted] & [redacted]) were going to stop by the following Friday to look at the damage. Needless to say, they did not show. We followed up with several phone calls and several messages to which we have received no response. I hired them to provide a carpet cleaning service not damage my fireplace. The other issue is that there are several spots on the carpet that have darkened over the last 3 weeks and I was not even able to discuss that part of my issue with them. We used this business before, approximately 3 years ago and did not have any issues. I am surprised at their lack of response.Desired Settlement: The fireplace needs to be replaced. It is a $400+ piece of furniture that was not damaged when they entered my home. They cleaned the carpets and now it is. I should not have to live a damaged piece of furniture due to their carelessness. I would appreciate a phone call so a settlement can made immediately as this has gone on long enough. Additionally, the spots that have darkended on my carpet need to be re-cleaned. Again, they can offer a refund for a portion of the cleaning services or perhaps we can come to another agreement.
