Classic Chevrolet Denison Reviews (%countItem)

Service department was supposed to fix their suggested oil leak and guaranteed their would be none. Leak still there and refuse to fix it.
Took my vehicle to Classic Chevrolet of Denison (CCD) on 01/31/2020 to have it checked for all leaks and get it fixed and running top shape. Service department said there was $5,200 worth of work to be done including the tires we needed, $1,640.21 for an oil leak. The oil leak had already been fixed by Blake Utter Ford (BU) 2 month prior so we told them we would take it back to the company to have them warranty fix it. We had to pay CCD $130 to get our truck back for diagnoses. BU told us that there was no problem with what they fixed and that CCD was just trying to get money from us, and we could also check with the person who redid our transmission because it could be the rear seal. Took it to transmission shop and he confirmed it was not from there either, that there was oil on either side of engine above the transmission. Let *** Jones at CCD know what they said and informed them of my disappointment of the diagnoses and that I still had to pay $130 to be incorrectly diagnosed. Two other companies confirmed that the leak was not from where CCD said it was. *** made a deal with me to fix the oil leak at a reduced price, if any other leaks were found while working on it then it would be fixed too, guaranteed there would be no oil leaks when they were done with it. Picked truck up on 03/19/2020 and payed $789. A month and a half later, 04/30/2020 I see a leak under the truck. Reminder it has barely been driven the past month for COVID-19 quarantine. My wife made an appointment to have it looked at and reminded service tech at CCD that it had just been fixed about 2 months before and was guaranteed there would be no leaks. The appointment was set for the following Monday morning. I called Monday morning before taking the truck to the shop to express my concern with there still being a leak and of the previous issue we had with the misdiagnoses and having to pay for the diagnoses as we did. I informed them of how much we paid to ensure there would be no leaks and now, only 2 months later I see that it is still leaking. I filed a complaint regarding the matter. My wife was unable to make it to the appointment that morning, as she is 8 and half month pregnant and was having a difficult morning. She called that evening to reschedule for the following day and was informed that they would not be able to schedule an appointment, and Eddie in the service department told her that if she did take it to the shop that she would be refused services, asked to leave, and told that we could not bring our truck back. When she informed them that the oil leak could be under warranty that they would need to fix, he said that they would not work on the vehicle. She asked why not, Eddie said he did not know, and that the information came from his superiors. She asked who his superiors were, and he responded *** and ***.

Desired Outcome

A full refund of $919 which will include the diagnostic fee, for incorrectly diagnosing the problem. The other $789 for accepting to do a job and not being able to do it and then afterwards refusing to fulfill their side of the deal which was a guarantee that there will be no leaks. This full refund will be the only satisfactory way of showing they are not scandals and con artists, looking for a free buck. Once the money is refunding I will have no reason for leaving my reviews because it will be like we never did business together which is better for both parties involved.

Classic Chevrolet Denison Response • May 08, 2020

This customer had work performed at a dealership not affiliated with Classic of Texoma. When he started to have problems, he brought the vehicle to us where we helped diagnose the problem. Customer wanted us to perform vehicle repairs at no cost which we were not able to do. Our operations director *** worked tirelessly with *** and his wife to come up with an agreeable and affordable solution. At this point, *** agreed and made an appointment which he did not show up for. About a month went by and he has now started harassing our staff at multiple locations. We are no longer offering him the opportunity for sales or service at any of our business locations.

Company mislead consumer regarding sale of vehicle.
On 7/31/19 I Reserved the new 2020 Corvette and entered Classic Chevrolet Denison (CCD) as the vendor to assist in the sale. This is required by Chevrolets website when ordering the new Corvette. I contacted CCD on 8/2/19 and spoke to a salesperson named Michael *** who was confident CCD could provide me with the vehicle and that I was number 2 on the list to receive the new Corvette and that the ordering should occur around early December.

Through numerous emails and phone conversations Michael and I set up the details and it seemed as though this would go smoothly. I called in October to learn that Michael had left the business an Josh *** would assist with the transaction.Once again I called periodically to determine the status of the sale and order date. Mr *** rarely contacted me after I tried to contact him. Mr *** when I did speak with him never once let me know they were not going to fulfill my request for the 2020 Corvette.

Last week on 03/10/20 after numerous attempts to contact and leave voice mails since no one ever responded to either Mr *** or a sales manager I finally spoke with the sales manager. I was informed that my money for the deposit was refunded without my consent and that CCD could not provide me with a vehicle.

After initiating this sale in July and diligently keeping in contact with CCD to be informed my deposit was refunded on 3/10/19 and that I would not get the vehicle is inexcusable. I was mislead throughout the sale and its my belief that CCD wants to sell the vehicles for more than the agreed upon price due to the high demand. Furthermore when I accessed their website there were two 2020 Corvettes listed for sale far above MSRP which I was guaranteed.

I believe I was unfairly treated and this is a monetary issue since CCD agreed to MSRP. I have the emails to support this claim see attached

Desired Outcome

I was able to contact another vendor Gene *** of Lubbock and order the vehicle. The cost of the vehicle includes a 2500 dollar sales fee. This additional 2500 dollar fee should be paid by CCD since I was mislead as indicated in the email correspondence with Michael *** CCD should have been forthright about the sale from the beginning and through poor sale management I have been unjustly treated.

We are sorry to hear that this customer feels he was mislead in any way during this process. Would like to address a few of his complaints. It is correct that he paid a deposit for a Corvette. When we discovered we would not be receiving as many 2020 Corvettes as we initially thought, our General Manager refunded deposit. Due to COVID-19 we are unable to predict how many of these vehicles we will be getting and when. Our General Manager spoke to this customer several times on this matter. He is correct that he saw several vehicles online, but these vehicles were priced at MSRP not above and were sold immediately upon their arrival at our store. Our owner firmly believes in selling all vehicles at a fair price and we never mark up vehicles above MSRP. We hope this customer finds the vehicle he is looking for and apologize for any confusion or miscommunication.

I was told at time of sale that the second key fob was locked up and I would need to come back to the dealer at a later date to obtain the 2nd key fob.

When I cam back to get it, I was told they could not locate it and I would need to purchase one if I wanted it.

Not acceptable. When you buy a new vehicle you are suppose to get 2 key fobs. You should not have t buy the second one just because the dealer just cannot locate it.
Product_Or_Service: October 2019

Desired Outcome

Delivery Give me my secons key fob at no cost to me.
