This is NOT trueI never give a bid off of some one else's quoteAs I stated before she had asked for a estimate and I told her that the sqsize is wrong she sent a text saying that it was approximately 2269sqftwhich I explained that was wrongshe would have had a 50' x 45' drive wayif that was true Which doesn't work on a driveway that is only 44' ftlongshe then sent a photo of a drawing showing the driveway at 44' x 17' with plans to widen it by 6'feet on either sideSo based on the drawing I sent over a a ballpark # of $we then scheduled a meeting to finalize the BidAt that time I stated that the sidewalk was not includedHe then signed the estimate with the correct sizeWhich is what I work off ofThe day we set the forms he asked to make the side walk bigger which we did which is why it is now bigger than the quoted sqon the bidThere was guys there at the timeThis customer basically is looking for a better dealI will see him in court if he likesI'm done dealing with him

As you can see from the signed estimate. There is no sqtotal for the projectThe only sqlisted is for the driveway at 23.5' x 44' as well as the sidewalk of an extra 130sqftWhich turned out bigger because it now measures 16' x 10' the parking area is where he is saying I shorted
himthat flares out to 12' and runs back to just short of his fencewe could not make it bigger do to the irrigation lines so I'm not sure were he's getting his numbersI set the forms the day before we poured and nothing was said at that time about the so called shortageThis job was poured on April 28th 2017 and the gave me the final payment on the 29thof April. I first got a call from him complaining that we didn't put dirt back in around the driveway were the forms wereI explained that there is no landscape repair in the estimateHe said that it cost him $dollars in black dirt to fill in the gapsand wanted me to pay forI told him again there's nothing in there in regards to repairThen I asked how it came to $he said he bought bags of dirt keep in mind its roughly 4" to 6" wide along the drive way were the forms wereI said a 1/ydof black dirt cost $that was the last of the conversations then a few weeks later he called and said I shorted him 90sqft and he wanted $back I asked how did you come up with that number being there is no set sqftnumber on the signed contractHe said he was going off a previous estimate from a different companyI said to him that's all fine and dandy but I work off my estimates and signed contractsKeep in mind I gave him a military discount as well and I have never had a complaint on me everI have all the text messages going back to when I first got the call to bid the job and photos

I am rejecting this response because: He gave us the estimate off someone else's quote which included the sidewalk (my wife also has these text messages)Also, when the forms were being put in, I asked Scott to move some of them to where we had originally discussed and was told that it wouldn't be a problemI came home from work the next day and the forms were not moved (by my patio/sidewalk) and the concrete was already pouredThe measurements were taken and price quoted for the larger areaThe quote was also given for the measurements on the flare out beside the garage including the area that had not been poured due to drainage pipes and electrical lines (even though I was told that his guys deal with that stuff all the time and it wouldn't be a problem)
