Classic Mini Storage

Review: Upon going to the mini storage with my fiance ([redacted] we decided to rent a storage unit here because it was only blocks away from where we would be renting an apartment. We spoke to the owner of the storage who showed us a unit, pricing, and specials for the month. Both [redacted] and I only had one request and that was working electricity within the garage. The owner showed us the new unit with "brand new" wiring and electricity running through it. We had a start-up business and would need to use this garage daily. We moved in and started our agreement with the storage. within the first month we noticed the things agreed to in the contract such as the electricity and safety of the unit were not being addressed and the electricity that was promised had not been provided. Not only that our unit had begun smelling like human piss and people lived there! [redacted] immediately called and spoke to the manager addressing the issues letting him know that if these were not taken care of we would request a huge discount or move to another business. The owner became upset and frustrated and HUNG UP on my fiance. [redacted] and I tried calling leaving numerous messages to return our calls. No action on their part was taken. Since signing the agreement in November and it is now Feb. we only got a hold of them 2 times! The 2nd time was today! She called and threatened both [redacted] and I and was so rude! Money was all she wanted regardless of complaints. Our unit lock was unable to be unlocked with our keys from that point on (convo 1) and our complaints were not addressed. We called, texted, and even left notes in the payment drop box alerting the owners to call us asap. We had every intention of moving our things out. Our unit became the centralized bathroom facility of the whole storage causing an awful urination smell. Due to the lack of managing--we refused to pay until we spoke. We had no electricty-people lived on site and pissed everywhere, and we couldnt get in. they refused to call us EVER!!!Desired Settlement: Both [redacted] and I had the lines of communication open from Day 1 of renting at the mini storage. We have every intention of requesting (if needed) our phone documentation from our carriers to show the numerous call attempts made to speak to the owners and resolve our complaints/issues we had. We also have affidavits from previous storage tenants who had the same dilemma and situation that we are currently dealing with. Lack of communication on managements behalf and breaking our contract is why.
