This order is from April We have waited for the two photos to be provided to us by the customerWe received one photo from the customer this Spring and mailed her a proof (July 12, 2017) of what the laser etching will look like on the monument We have not received any reply to that proof mailed to her July The customer needs to provide us with the photo of herself so I can prepare a proof showing both laser etching portraitsWe cannot finish our job if the customer does not give us the two portraitsSince we have waited such a long time for the portraits, we installed the marker without the etchings When the customer provides us with the portraits we will be able to complete our job We will remove the marker from the cemetery, complete the etchings, andreturn the marker to the gravesite

I purchased a headstone for my mother and have been speaking with ***A family member visited her but the headstone still does not have neither my mother nor my photo that I sentEach time I call I'm given promises they will be added to the headstoneMother - [redacted] ***

This is regarding a pre- need arrangement paid in full for lettering to be added to existing headstonePaid in full August My Father died Nov28, The added lettering was not done until May 23, It took months despite me calling and being told by Eriich Press It was to be done this week, then next week, then this month, then next monthMy father was buried across the street from Classic Monument Comany, Incat Calvary CemeteryI have not seen it as of yetErich Press did tell me he would text a picture of it and sent it to meHe also told me that he no longer had any excuses for the company's taking mos to perform work on an already existing headstone located within walking distance of the store front on WFlorissant

Mrs [redacted] signed a contract in the amount of $with Classic Monument to do the engraving on the stone of [redacted] She gave us a check in the amount of $ Our policy is to only do service work and inscription (lettering) work after the full amount of the contract has been paid (AS NOTED HALF WAY DOWN THE CONTRACT "The balance is required to be paid before the monument is installed in the cemetery") Nowhere on the contract does it say the customer is allowed to pay half down and then pay the balance after the work is completed, as the customer states. We are going to make an exception to our policy and complete the work tomorrow, December 16, I hope Mrs [redacted] is going to pay the final balance after we complete the work tomorrow, as she stated in her comments We changed our policy a few years ago because people do not pay for the work we do once it is completed in the cemetery

July 17, Dispute Resolution Department Revdex.com [redacted] [redacted] Fax [redacted] Dear Revdex.com and Ms [redacted] : Let’s start at the beginning with the purchase of the French Creek x x grass marker for the [redacted] family: The marker was purchased March 3, (not the end of March as stated in the complaint) at the store on West Florissant that is across the street from Calvary Cemetery (not the funeral home as described in Ms [redacted] ’s complaint) We made seven (7) drawings for the grass marker layout for Ms [redacted] These were not ERRONOUS nor were we STALLING as was described in Ms [redacted] ’s complaint These drawings were made to satisfy our customer and her requests were for different “designs” that were quite a bit different than the original contract called for I take offense at the customer’s comment that states, “I went back and forth correcting proofs that they would just CONJURE up” The seven proofs were made at the request of Ms [redacted] The original contract that Ms [redacted] signed had the phrase at the bottom of the marker that read THE TWO BECOME ONE FLESH This same phrase was included on all of the seven drawing provided to Ms [redacted] Another comment by Ms [redacted] states “They changed a word which made the verse grammatically incorrect” The word BECOME was in the original signed contract and all of the seven proofs sent to Ms [redacted] Ms [redacted] needs to read the copy of her contract as to what information she gave us to put on the stone! She did make the comment on the final Version 5-she signed (on May 16, 2017) to change the phrase to THE TWO BOCAME ONE FLESH Unfortunately, we did not catch that change when we produced the granite marker However, since the complaint was made, we have corrected the phrase so that is does now read THE TWO BECAME ONE FLESH The marker does not have a scratch on it as Ms [redacted] ’s complaint states SEE THE TWO PHOTOS ATTACHED Finally, the marker took so long because of Ms [redacted] ’s request for the seven drawings that she finally approved on May 16th, It is impossible for our company to meet the family’s request for an installation date when the proof approval was not given until the day (May 16, 2017) the customer requested the stone be installed Virtually all of our monuments have drawings approved by the family after the first or second drawing is produced There has been only one or two instances where the family has requested more than three drawings in the fifty years that I have been in business I’m sorry that Ms [redacted] felt she received poor service from our company but things would have gone more smoothly if the customer would have been more concise in her selection of designs and had thought out the exact phrase she wanted at the bottom of the marker when viewing the contract and the seven drawings provided to her If she would have signed the first proof sent to her, the marker would have been installed by her Father’s birthdate, as what her initial request was Regards, [redacted] ***, Owner

I was very pleased with every aspect of my dealings with Classic Monument Company [redacted] was very easy to work with and very compassionate Thanks so much- [redacted]

At the recommendation of the Cemetery, I contacted Classic Monument in September, to inscribe my mother's date of birth and death on an existing headstone According to my conversation with their representative, Erich Press, and per contract I remitted one-half of the amount due upon receipt of the contract and was to pay the balance when notified of "final engraving" Classic Monument cashed my check on October 5, I have contacted the company several times to get a date of completion with no result I did get a return call this week and they are asking for full payment before proceeding as they have had bad experiences with other customers in

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Sincerely, [redacted]

One of our last correspondence with the customer was Jan25, when she gave us approval on the "etching layout" that is a portrait on the marker We had instructed the customer "that the marker would need to be paid in full before the installation is completed and that as long as the ground isn't frozen that it should be installed 2-weeks after final payment is made" The customer replied that day, "That's not a problem at allplease contact me for payment when completed and it will be delivered" We e-mailed the customer April 18, with a photo of the completed monument and an invoice for the final payment The original cost of the monument is $and with a $down payment, the balance is $ As soon as the final payment is made we will install the marker in the cemetery Unfortunately, the weather this winter was sketchy with the snow and frozen ground to do many installations It is best to wait for warmer weather and now that the conditions are good, the customer does not want to pay the final balance
