Classic Nissan of Statesville Reviews (3)

I purchased a vehicle through this dealership (Classic Nissan of Statesville, NC) on Oct 10/02/2017, the initial experience with the salesman (no longer working there) and the finance manager (no longer working there) was good. A temporary tag was placed on the vehicle and the finance manager advised me to call if I do not get the registration before the temporary expired. I checked with the clerks office on Nov 01, 2017 and they did not have any record of my VIN being registered. I then started the frustrating process of speaking to someone at the business. I made seven calls before I contacted someone who advised me that they had the title returned because some damage form (she stated they had the form and there was no damage to report but it had not been sent with the original paperwork) was needed. She also wrongly advised not to worry about the expired tag, "just carry your paperwork with you". I am retired law enforcement, unregistered is unregistered. So here I am on Nov 14th, still unregistered vehicle sitting in my driveway and the phone run around has begun, getting the GM's voicemail. Making actual contact is rare with a live human and when you do, despite their assurances they will call you back they don't. We are now at the point all my calls go unanswered or shifted to voicemail. They do not care about doing their job, despite the DOC fees they force you to pay. I can not tell you if any dealership has an ounce of ethics, or an honest attempt at customer service, but this family of dealerships does not.
Save yourself the aggravation and avoid this dealership.

Review: they were supposed to get my refund on gap ins on car I traded in which has to go thru them.asked about it about 6 times with no answer except they had sent in the paperwork.then when I bought my truck I told them I worked for a company that made Nissan auto parts which made me eligible for employee discount.well when sale was finished all I got off full sticker price was $300.00 from a loyality voucher I brought with me.2 months after I bought truck a r.phillips asked me for the employee discount code.he said if I brought it in he would explain why he wanted it.took it in and spent 45 min. there calling a 1-800 Nissan number to get a verification code for mr. Phillips.he then had me sign a paper he quickly took after signature with no explainnation.was told by him he was done with me.the next week I contacted my saleslady by email and explained this. no response.called her(rosa c[redacted])and asked her about email.she said she would print it and give to the manager to find out what was going on.a week later I emailed another letter to her .never got a response.I told then I felt like some type of fraud was going on and any they recieved should come back to me since rebate was 3 months after car purchase.please help straighten this out before I take this to attorney generals office.Desired Settlement: refund of rebate and refund of unused gap ins

Review: I went to Classic Nissan of Statesville on 8/17/15 to try to buy a car. The salesman was very nice and helped me by letting me test drive several different vehicles. I did find one that I was interested in purchasing and asked what was the lowest price they could give me. The price that they offered was more than I could afford. I asked what it would take to get me in the vehicle. I stated that my payments had to be $250.00 or lower. After going back and forth with the Office manager they finally had stated that they could get my payments at $250.00 for 72 months. I agreed to this and was ready to start the paper work. After signing several different documents I was sent to the finance office manager. She started going over the financial paper work but before I signed anything in the she asked if I had any questions. At that point in time I asked what my interest rate would be and what bank would the loan be going through. She gave me the rate and stated that my payment would be $259.00 a month for 84 months! This is by no means what I had agreed to. I felt like they were trying to pull a fast one over on me and had I not asked these questions I would have signed. This was very misleading to say the least. I walked away without a new vehicle, upset, and a hit on my credit. I asked if they could please remove the credit inquiry off of my credit report and was told that this could not be done. I do not have the best credit, however I would like to try and maintain it, rather than taking a hit when I was misled, plus I still need to purchase a vehicle. Any assistance that could be provided to have this credit inquiry removed would be appreciated.Desired Settlement: I would like nothing more than for Classic Nissan of Statesville to remove the credit inquiry on my credit report.

From: [redacted] Sent: Wednesday, September 09, 2015 9:12 AM To: Johana Diaz <[email protected]> Subject: [redacted] Johana Diaz, My name is Vern Mathis I am the new General Manager of Classic Nissan in Statesville. Mr. Luu, has been transferred to a new store within our group. Regarding [redacted], we do try our best to get our customers approved at the payments that they are comfortable with. However there are factors that we can not change, like credit ratings, time on job, and income. All of these factor in on how banks approve or disapprove a customers credit application. When a customer signs a credit application, they the customer understand at that time that the dealership in going to run their credit report, if any customer does not want their credit run they can refuse to sign the application and the credit report will not be obtained. We can not remove any credit inquiry from a customers report that they asked us to obtain and have signed a credit application requesting us to do so. We do have a signed credit application on file regarding Johana [redacted] requesting us to run her credit report. Thank you for your time, Vernon M[redacted] General Manager Classic Nissan of Statesville
