This company is the absolute worst. Ive seen them several times in several buildings. They never show up to do preventative Maintenance as required. They cannot produce the remote monitoring logs when asked. They cannot even read the contract to make sure they have the correct building. Once you are in a contract with them rather than use good customer service and ethical business practices they will use legal threats and long terms and auto renewals to keep you in the contract. We have been blessed in this building to have very few problems but the one time we have of course I called Schindler and it was days for them to tell me they will fix it. I made 1 call to a reliable company and they were there before the Schindler tech called me back. To add insult to injury they billed me for the canceled service call. To be clear Schindler (despite having the contract and address) did not realize this was not their elevator and threatened us when we had another company do they work they were not able to do. I'm glad I was able to find a competent reputable company to fix the problem we had. Horrible company, abysmal service, too expensive for the lack of work they do, and heaven forbid you want to leave them for a better company. Don't sign a contract with them and send your cancellation notice now before they renew you under bad terms at a higher price. Here is a link to the Facebook complaint I made. BEWARE! Do not sign any contracts with this company Their sales people misrepresent their contracts and then lock you in long term (i.eyears) to an expensive yearly contract then a year or so into the contract start claiming that their service calls are not covered by the expensive contract Their hourly rate is 60% higher than their competition, ($per hour including while they are driving to and from) They can change their pricing when they want and you cannot use anyone but them on your elevators during the contract Lastly, to add insult to injury, you have a day window at the end of years and months and if you don't remember to contact them in that one month time period the year contract automatically renews BOTTOM LINE: Use them on an emergency basis as needed if you can stomach their hourly fee and don't have any other options or for yearly maintenance but NEVER sign a contract with them

Please see attachment.In response to the above referenced claim, please be advised of the following: Enclosed is a copy of our proposal dated 11/25/14 in the amount of $2,649.00. The project commenced 12/27/14 and completed 12/29/14.The scope of work was the removal and replacement of aluminum...

gutter and downspout plus installation of six (6) replacement slate. The value of the slate portion of work is 6 @ $18.00 = $108.00. [redacted] complaint does not address any concern with the gutter or downspout work, which is 96% of the contract value. We installed in excess of the six (6) specified replacement at no extra charge. We have attempted on Several occasions to accommodate the customer and adjust the one (1) slate that she complains is crooked. We remain willing to return to adjust that slate with the agreement that she complete her final payment at that time. Or if she prefers, she can deduct $18.00 from the amount due. Unfortunately [redacted] has been hostile towards our personnel, and at one point tore up her check and threw it in Eric's face. We have made repeated attempts to amicably resolve the matter, and appreciate that the Revdex.com may help in that regard. We are not clear why she believes there is a structural problem with her home, nor was any Structural work included in our scope. The slate repairs are a normal maintenance item on an aged slate roof, and we are not aware of any structural issues. Miller Roofing is a division of [redacted], which maintains an exemplary record in the community. [redacted] told our Project Manager, Eric, that if he wanted to get paid to sue her.
