I am rejecting this response because:A few things:Why are they saying no permit was required now when their arguments before said something else?Regardless, square footage was added because it went into the garage and that does not normally count as livable square footageExtending the room created more livable square footageAsk any realtorAdditionally, the gas water heater (tankless was moved) so there were permits required to do that an inspections from the gas company and plumbersA Kitchnette was added so there was another plumbing inspection required. Their arguments keep changing as we present more evidence against their incompetence and lack of living up to the contract.

We apologize for any inconvenience this might have brought to the homeowner as we strive to have 100% complete satisfaction with every homeowner we work with. Below is a summary of the time frame and communication on this project.January 1st original contract was signed. At
this time the customer was notified that we had a 4 month backlog of work ahead of them January 27th first deposit per the contract payment schedule was paidFebruary 9th Home owner wanted to make changes to the original contractFebruary 12th the customer had signed the new revised contractThe initial down payment per the contract is for ordering & purchasing materialsMarch 19th we received the selection sheet for all customer allowances and finishes to start orderingApril 1st the project startedApril 9th the Cabinet drawing was sent in to the cabinet vendor the homeowner had chosenApril 9th Plumbers were onsiteApril 10th Electricians were onsiteApril 19th A change order was given to the homeowners for extras they requested that were not in the signed contract. We did not charge them any extra labor , only for the cost of the itemsApril 21st the homeowners changed the layout of the cabinets which in turn delayed the counter topwe had to go back and forth with the customer and the cabinet vendor multiple times for the homeowners changesMay 15th the counter top was orderedJune 2nd homeowner changed cabinets once again so we then laid out the drawings on the floor with the customer where we believed the cabinets should goThe homeowner approvedJune 17th the cabinets were installed The counter tops went in a couple days later and the last day worked on the job was June 25thCommunication by the office was daily or every other day some days multiple emails and phone calls for approvals or for changes that were initiated by the homeownerWe at Classic Remodeling rely on referrals in this business we do our very best to make the customers happySometimes we do run into circumstances beyond our control and we tackle them as best we can. As for permitting I have attached the electrical permit that was left onsite for the homeowners

As for the issue of the building permit, we did not add any square footage to the home.  We simply firred out walls in the garage for a bedroom.  Therefore, a permit was not necessary.

I am rejecting this response because:This response does not address my complaint now until the last line.  They mention the electrical permit (it is attached to the panel). Where is the building permit? Where is the plumbing permit? The county has no record of our extra square footage and the permit filing was EXPLICITLY in the contract.  They did not comply with that part of the contract and thus have been a detriment to our selling our home.They told us on the phone that the person was gone and basically it was not their problem.
