I am rejecting this response because:The response that was sent back is incorrect the dealer only changed names not ownership so the name was Victory Toyota and it changed to Classic Toyota and Hyundai and they was aware of the program that they put us in. The dealer that told us to let the original car to go back and to get a used one still works there his name is Kevin [redacted]       Sandi [redacted]256 Brookfall Dairy Road  Elkin NC 28621

Ms. [redacted] had purchased a vehicle from Victory Toyota in 2015. Victory Toyota of Wilkesboro closed in March 2016 and is no longer in business. The new Toyota dealer in Wilkesboro is Classic Toyota of North Wilkesboro. Ms. [redacted] did come into the new dealership and purchased a vehicle with no...

trade in. Classic Toyota of North Wilkesboro has no affiliation with the previous dealership and is not aware of any arrangements made.

This response is from Bob Four-Nier, GM Victory Toyota.  Mrs. [redacted] called & complained that one of her rear tires was flat.  She just purchased 4 new tires the day before.  I sent one of our techs to her residence.  When he arrived, he saw something hanging underneath her...

car.  He looked & saw a back tie rod broke & hanging.  He took photos. He then put on her spare tire.  He brought the tire to our shop.  The tire had something hard sticking out of the tire & the side wall of tire was ripped.  Mrs. [redacted] demanded we fix her car since she thinks we broke it here & put something in her tire.  I stated to Mrs. [redacted] someone may have hit something pretty hard to make the tie rod break. I asked her if anyone other than her drove the car.  She said no one else drove car.  It also had to be done close to her residence as the car wouldn't be able to travel very far with the broken tie rod.  Maybe a block if you were lucky.  We took her tire back to her residence & she asked what was in tire.  I stated to her that we didn't look, as we would need her permission to take tire off rim & look.  We made arrangements to go get her & her tire the next day.  They took the tire off rim & found something hard in the tire.  It may be part of a deer antler, but not sure.  She still demands we fix her car for free.  We did not break her tie rod or run over anything with her car.  She stated she is only one who drove car.  I explained to her again, we did nothing wrong.  Her tie rod had broken very close to her residence for her to get the car to her drive way.  Something hard & sharp was ran over to cut & tear the tire side wall like it was.  We have photos of broken tie rod in her parking space, photo of tire with ripped out side wall & an object stuck in the tire, & photos of the object that was in her tire.

I am rejecting this response because: the picture if the tire Rod could not have been taken with the tire and wheel still on. I could not have driven it or hot it into my driveway with a broken tire Rod. I believe the tire Rod was broken when the tech took the flat tire off. Also, GM told me the following
Bob the GM (although the employees I spoke to didn't know his last name. One was Linda who answered the phone and the other was one of the young service technicians. I will attempt to be brief here. I already submitted s complaint. But today after meeting with Bob in person I am more concerned with either his ignorance of how are car is put together or his ability to like to my face and force his technician to back him up. Today this is the basis of my new concerns.1.   No balanicing needs to be performed after mounting four new tires.2.   No alignment check needs to be performed after mounting 4 new tires. 3. Changing out the rotors could not have changed the original alignment or made the car start pulling to the left after the brakes were replaced.4.  They see rust all the time ; therefore they are not obligated to inform the customer that any or important parts of the car such as tire rods on a 2002 should be replaced for safety sake .  Even though they did do a safety checklist that listed the steering and underside of the car were in safe condition.
