I am rejecting this response because:no further efforts were made to address the remainder of my complaint even the the investigator instructed that there be discussion between all parties to address the complete listThey (the businesses) choose to partial repairs of the interior and offered no solution to remaining issues without any communication discussing their intentionsThis is what they do time and time againThe investigator also did not correctly order full resolution to interior or exterior issues regarding installation guidelines of door and window trim even though this was included in my complaint full description with picturesMany efforts on my part has been to educate myself in the standards according to the instructions printed by the manufacturer of the home and the manufacturer of siding and trimAs long as the siding experts consider the installation in adequate in protecting the home from moisture intrusion and even fire I will re fileWhile there has been a closing letter to what the inspector sitedIt is my opinion that he did not properly evaluate the complaints and the half done repairsAs a result I have refilled to address the incomplete inspection and reporting by the inspectorThe said repairs made were not sufficient as my house is no striped with miss matching paint and the required caulking in the panel joints were not doneOnly nail issues were addressThe inspector has not done his job to the best of what is expectedAn inspector that passes a striped painted house and doesn't take notice that the so called sealing of panels and trim is not doing his job for a complete solution for the consumerSince this complaint has been filed there are further issues that are new to be added to the listThe status quo of the business involved is to ignore the list of issues and never provide a solutionMy pursuit is not only to continue to follow through with the second claim to the state housing department but as well a complain to management of the Department regarding the inspectors poor job in addressing the list of complaintsThe business would like it to appear that a solution has been reached but not soI will continue in efforts for an actual sit down mediated until as indicated by [redacted] to get an agreed upon solution to all issues reported and are completely satisfactorilyThese issues and more began to be reported in September and most continue to be on going

I am rejecting this response because:This case will remain open until all items are fixed.I have received one phone call from a repair subcontractor. He has not been to the home to fix anything yet.

Review: Karsten has never come to fix the issues with this home after its installation. I have been stood up by two of their service men, who said they didn't have the right materials and didn't want to make the drive. I've had a Karsten guy inspect the home and say he would "send the right person" to fix it, but it was never done. I have spoken to two levels of management and they say, "It is Karstens full intention that we finalize the service on your home and correct the issues," but talk is cheap - nobody shows up, nobody has scheduled another visit. This home is under a 10-YEAR WARRANTY, and began to fall apart within 3 days. Do not spend your money on their product if you expect ANY support under warranty. This company is irresponsible after they have your full payment.Desired Settlement: I want everything in this house fixed ASAP, and all the items that have broken because of their failed shelving to be reimbursed at replacement value. I want the electrical wiring that is incorrect to be fixed, and all other broken items fixed. I have submitted a list to them three times.

Review: The complaint is in regards to many issues ,product workmanship is terrible,code violations regarding exterior siding and trim,customer service in dealing with manufacturing defects is non responsive. Picks and chooses what they will consider a repair or correction in their workmanship defects such as floor rattling , severe cracking of interior walls Fixed some but not all ,carpets defective making sqeacky noise when walking on it. Water damage in wall refuses to investigate reason and repair,unsealed barrier under the home,doors dragging and or not shutting properly. Leak in bathroom sick from drain stopper. This is a new home bought September 18, 2014. Went through state housing department with little demand from them to honor simple warrantee workmanship and building standard issues. More homes on the street have been built as my home without proper wild land fire code guidelines as well. The company sits on they laurels and does not man up to the lack of proper installation and workmanship standards. They are non responsive and if they do respond they will not communicate effectively. They refuse to give discussion to how a repair will be done. Leaving the consumer surprised when the work order is answered to that the repairs approved are substandard or in complete. Example patches on cracked wall rather that a compete process of repair and returning the walls to a estedic surface. Floors rattling still after a half hearted attempt last fall. They refuse to address it again.When the rep from the factory tells you to hit the sqeeck in your carpet with a hammer you just don't know what to think ! Really ? The carpets are defective themselves. However when verified by a state inspector there was no mandate to replace the carpet with "as good or better material " as required by [redacted] guidelines in warrantee ,workmanship and product defects. 1 month left on my 1 year warranty still fighting on issues reported in my first 2 weeks in my home. Note: many dates of reports and emails to many to List.Desired Settlement: The factory is copable for their shotty workmanship ,materials,and construction standards that do not withstand a year of living. They obviously cut corners on exterior siding hoping that no one knows that their is a wild land fire code in CA. They do not take into account for weather conditions in the area in which they place homes leaving the home vulnerable to weather damage in the short term of the homes life. I expect that a resolution to my complaints, are completed to satisfaction
