Clayton's Plumbing Reviews (1)

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/12/31) */
Our company has worked for Mr*** since for most of his plumbing needsHe hired us to install an inexpensive Watts washerless tub faucet , after showing him a Delta tub faucet that was to expensive. After installing the Watts faucet he
said there was issues with itHe claims that the diverter handle turned hardIn a weeks time they had broken the handles on that faucetOur plumber went back and greased the diverter stem and installed new Delta handles on the faucet since Delta parts interchange with WattsOur professional plumbers said it was fine and turned easyWe went to his house sic times with no labor charges trying to please him and that was impossible !!! We went to install a Delta diverter stem that I had in stock because Delta parts are supposed to interchangeHe claims that diverter did not work, so while my plumber was there *** himself looked on the internet and gave us the model # diverter to orderWhen it came in we installed it for himHe called us later that week saying the diverter didn't workWe then ordered another style Delta diverter stem but he still wasn't happy with the new oneFour different licenced plumbers have attempted working on this faucet for himOur plumber offered to work on it again and he told us noThere were pieces of black rubber gasket material in the tub from his old Price Pfister faucet that we removed to install his new faucetThe rubber gaskets were cut from them turning the faucet off too hard to where the brass seats cut the rubber gaskets leaving them in the water system, which flushed out as they ran water from the faucetThe diverter stems were NOT installed backwards by our plumbersThe last time our plumbers left his house the faucet was installed and working in perfect conditionHe was informed again about the more expensive better Delta faucet and cover plate, so at this time, being upset with the inexpensive faucet, he agreed to put in the more expensive unitAfter speaking to him, he wanted us to do a free install but would pay a price for the unit that wouldn't even cover the price of the unitWe told him no, that we can not send our plumbers out and not get paid for their work (we have Facebook messages to prove it)(This man has problems) He even went after Keebler Cracker company and Walmart for not stocking enough of the crackers that he likes( Also can be found on Facebook)Our local companies and now Clayton's Plumbing refuse to work for him because of his pickiness and lack or reasoningWe are refunding $which is the price he is asking refunded minus the price of a Delta handle set ($37.00) and the diverter stem ($13.00)this refund in NOT because we feel like we are at error, it is simply to get him our of our hair, and we sill not send any of our plumbers to ever work for him againWe have lost an excessive amount of labor do to him not being reasonable and he does not stop at reaching us at our business, he contacts us at home, after hours, on holidays and on Facebook days after he discovered his "problems" which he has had ample time to contact us during business hours( We also have text messages and Facebook messages to prove this too)Have you ever had cockroaches ? Yes, they are hard to get rid of too !! Just saying!! Sincerely, Clayton's Plumbing LLC
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 8, 2016/01/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The response from Clayton's Plumbing speaks volumes to a lack of professionalismInstead of standing behind their parts and workmanship *** chooses to lie and make derogatory statements about usAnd strangely after saying all of this about us he included with the response a check offering us a refund of the original price less $to settle this matterBefore we accept that offer we think it is important to set the facts straight so others who consider using them have full disclosureFACT 1: We have been customers since 2006, but *** ignores that and resorts to derogatory statements such as "This man has problems" and "Have you ever heard of cockroaches? Yes , they are hard to get rid of too! Just saying!" It's interesting we are characterized like that but for years they accepted job after job in our homeAs for being "unreasonable" I don't know any "reasonable" homeowner who would pay a company $to install a faucet, and then not have a "problem" or be satisfied after months when it still will not function properlyFACT 2: *** knows we did not break the handles "in a week's time." I came home from work that day to find the broken handlesI not only took a video of it I reported it to *** that dayFACT 3: The first replacement part that was brought out "was not" the right oneNot only was it a different length, the washers and gaskets did not line upAnd I didn't locate any parts on the internetThe plumber took photos of the old diverter and the part was ordered by Clayton'sFACT 4: Their plumber "did" break the guide, and he told me that at the timeI contacted Clatyon's the moment he leftYet *** claims the broken pieces I saw were "rubber gaskets" that were cut off the old system and "flushed out as they ran water from the faucet." But he fails to explain why if true it took months for them to "flush out?." He also doesn't explain if no parts were broken by the plumber why after he put the faucet back together and left we were unable to use our shower/tub for over weeks until the new diverter came inFACT 5: The diverter stems "were" installed backwards at least times, and we have video we took each time showing the handles turning in the wrong directionFACT 6: Mr.Kuster claims the last time they came out the system was "working in perfect condition." Apparently to him that means the water continues to run for 2-minutes after the faucet is shut off, or that water is supposed to pour out of the showerhead when the tub is turned onWe have video of both issues, and copies of the message sent to *** that same day the plumber came out informing him of these issues and asking him to "please help us." *** simply replied "I'm sorry." FACT 7: *** claims I offered to "pay a price for the unit that wouldn't even cover the price of the unit." When I asked *** the cost of the Delta single arm unit he checked and told us it was $I have the Facebook message where I told *** to get a working system we would pay the $for the part if they would install it*** still refusedFACT 8: We did contact *** and *** afterhours more than onceWhat he fails to mention is this was only after leaving multiple messages at their office that were not returnedAs well as *** not showing up after telling us several times he would "personally" come outWe can provide copies of phone bills, texts and Facebook message to prove each and every factFinally, *** claims local companies refuse to work for usAmazingly our longtime "local" HVAC contractor just serviced our system, and while at our home recommended another "local" plumbing company (Crandall and Sanders)We called them and not only did they offer to come out the next day, they are installing a top of the line Wolverine Brass system and new showerhead for the same price Clayton's charged for their "cheap" system they claim "we" insisted onWith that we consider this matter closed and are moving on with our new "local" plumber!
