I did not buy the Groupon until the service person showed up on service dayIn fact, days before I
scheduled my appointment, I called Clean Air America and talked to Dan with my home's size and details, and he quoted me for a price range between $234-for cleaning my whole air duct systemHowever, when the service guy showed up, he quoted me almost $for the cleaning, and I was comparing the Groupon final price with his price right in front of him to save some money and he did not inform me that the Groupon service would be different from their serviceI ended up paying about dollars less than the service price he quoted meIn fact, even if I went with their priced air duct cleaning service it would not have included the cleaning of furnace because both Dan and his crew confirmed that with me when I called to complain about their unprofessional service later onYet their website even today still shows that they clean furnace under their air duct cleaning steps, which is advertisementTheir Groupon also advertise that "technicians send an infrared camera into the ductwork to map out every inch of dust or reveal enclaves of ninjas hiding there" which is a lie tooWhen I called to ask about that the owner said they do not have the infrared camera and when the technicians showed up the 2nd time there was no cameras used either
They did send out two technicians back upon my request because like I mentioned before, ever since they cleaned the air duct of our home, one of our bathroom has this musty and chalky smell every time the heat kicks onThe technicians said they would show up between 2-4pm but didn't show up until after 4pm and they basically told me they do not smell anything and they are not going to clean anything for us in a very rude way right after getting hereI asked him about the infrared camera and proof of proper cleaning and they said he took pictures on the day of cleaning (which I've never seen) and deleted them that morningThey were nowhere near happy to clean the air duct for us again like the owner stated, they told me there was nothing they could do and they were not going to clean it again without proof that they did a good jobSo I questioned them why did you come to my homeI feel they were only there because they were required to show up upon the owner's orderThey wouldn't do anything about smell or show me any proof and was going to leave so I insisted that they at least show me the main duct, so they opened the main duct again and took one picture with their phone and it looked ok, but just by showing one picture by phone doesn't mean they did a good jobThey could have left a lot debris and drywall dust in our vent lines and that might be what's causing the smell
Clean Air America's website states that they follow the NADCA's procedures of air duct cleaning and the whole process should take about 3-hours with two people, but when I mentioned that to the technicians, they were laughing at my face and said they usually only take an hour with one personI'm not an air duct cleaning professional but it's obvious they do not follow any standard procedures and the cleaning time proves itAlso, when I questioned about the furnace cleaning included in their advertisement on their website, they refused to clean it for us and quoted another 75-just for cleaning the furnace
I was the only one that noticed the smell at first with a more sensitive nose, and a couple days my husband noticed the smell too every time when the heat kicks on in the bathroom and other roomsClean Air America did not improve our air quality but made it worse, we had debris and drywall dust flying around on the service day and I noticed drywall dust settled on our bathroom floor days after the cleaningI hope people like me looking for a professional air duct cleaning company would see this and make a mistake like I did and go with a certified company who actually take time and follow the standard procedures to clean your home instead of making it worse

I paid more than total for the unprofessional work and it ended up making our home's air quality worseI also had to hire another company to check our furnace and paid around 100, for all these trouble and damage I demand at least a refund considering that they are running a local business
