Review: Clean Chic Cleaners ruined a $1500 leather jacket that was bought within the last year. It was worn less than 5 times. When we received the jacket, we noticed that the color of the jacket changed and the leather texture was completely dried out. We complained and the owner said he would come and drop it off personally. He said, "He wanted to make things right." Well, the owner did not even show up. The owner did not even call in advance on a Saturday so we ended up waiting around for him to show up. When I called to find out what happened, there were no apologies, and the owner said he had our jacket and wanted to personally deliver it. That is the exact same thing he told us before he made this appointment. But the owner needs to actually show up in order to prove he can make things right. So we rescheduled for another evening during the week. He called an hour before to ask to reschedule again, claiming that he was exhausted. My family runs a small business, and this owner's behavior is completely inexcusable.This owner also had the nerve to tell me that his own leather cleaner said nothing was wrong with the jacket. Am I supposed to believe that? Luckily, we have pre-cleaning and post-cleaning photos. If this owner ever shows up to give us back our jacket, we will show him the pictures. It has been over a month now since they took our jacket for dry cleaning.Overall, this entire business is not dependable. They were consistently late on delivery and pickup, even on other items. They made promises on timing that they could not keep. The customer service lady, [redacted], is extremely rude. Their menu pricing is unclear. When I checked my credit card statement, they also charged $5 more than the receipt they emailed me. These people should not be allowed to run a business.Desired Settlement: This is a Helmut Lang leather jacket that costs $1500. The texture and the color of the jacket were ruined by Clean Chic Cleaners. We want Clean Chic Cleaners to pay us $1500 for this jacket and so that we can purchase a new one. In turn, they can keep our ruined jacket. We have the credit card statement for the jacket with the amount and the date. Another alternative would be to find this exact jacket new in the same size/model/color and purchase it with us from the store.

Clean Chic Cleaners offered a special with [redacted] for $19.00 you can receive $40.00 worth of dry cleaning, tailoring or wash and fold services. [redacted] purchased the offer through [redacted] and placed an order online on July *, 2013 and the clothes for cleaning was picked up on July **, 2013 the order was for 3 dress pants for $15.75 and a grey leather jacket. The leather Jacket cost $50.00 to clean, we spoke to [redacted] and informed her of the cost to clean the leather jacket is $50.00 but since she is using the [redacted] coupon we would clean the jacket for $40.00 and they would pay the $15.75 cost to dry clean the pants. [redacted] agreed to this and we emailed a statement to her. [redacted] asked that the pants be delivered when ready since cleaning leather products takes 2-3 weeks. On July **, 2013 the dry cleaned pants were delivered to the concierge at the [redacted] residence. On July **, 2013 [redacted] emailed asking someone to call him so he can pay his bill he was informed of the amount and was emailed a receipt with the charge amount. On July **, 2013 [redacted] emailed asking when the leather jacket would be available for delivery. On July **, 2013 the leather jacket was delivered on a hanger with plastic over the jacket to the concierge in the [redacted] residence. On July **, 2013 [redacted] emailed stating that the texture and color of the jacket was ruined that the jacket had a yellow-brownish tint to it and different parts of the jacket were different colors. We informed [redacted] we would pick up the Jacket to examine it and to take it back to where the jacket was cleaned. When we picked up the jacket On August *, 2013 the leather jacket was crumbled up in a brown paper bag. We decided not to take the jacket to where it was originally cleaned and to take the leather jacket to another, leather cleaner for an impartial look at the leather jacket. The expert at Superior Leather Restores examined the l eather jacket and stated that there was nothing wrong with the jacket color or texture of the leather jacket and that if there was an issue with the color it would be evident on the inside and outside of the jacket. They suggested to, give the jacket a little shine to keep the leather soft and to remove the wrinkles out of the jacket. [redacted] was informed and given the option to have the jacket shined and the wrinkles removed and he agreed. Clean Chic Cleaners paid $75.00 for the service and did not charge the [redacted]’s anything further because we wanted to do what was best for the customer. Our terms and conditions states we are not responsible for and cannot guarantee against color loss, shrinkage or against damage to weak or tender fabric. Prior to the leather jacket being delivered [redacted] kept insisting that the matter was not going to be resolved and he was not going to be satisfied with the jacket. That’s why the delivery of the jacket was delayed the jack et was delivered to the concierge in the [redacted]’s residence on August **, 2013. The [redacted]’s filed a report with the Revdex.com on Wednesday August **, 2013 prior to receiving the jacket back the second time which clearly shows the [redacted]’s motive is to receive a new leather jacket. At this time Clean Chic Cleaners has done its best to resolve this matter and nothing further will be done. [redacted] wants Clean Chic Cleaners to pay him $1500 for the purchase of a new leather jacket our terms states we are responsible for up to 10x what it cost to clean the item the [redacted]’s used a $19.00 coupon to clean there leather jacket.

Clean Chic Cleaners has responded to this complaint with 100% of the facts. Attached is a picture of the leather jacket in question. You can see from the picture the jacket is in excellent condition. Look carefully at the color it is even all around. The [redacted]'s motive was and still is to receive a new leather jacket, we have done all that we are willing to do in this matter.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

These people are fraudsters. I also have pictures of our jacket before and after and pictures of the original product. One can clearly see that all the colors are ruined in my photos when you compare the before and after files. I have also additional pictures and an original picture from the company of the product. All of my pictures cannot be uploaded in this message. They don't even sell the jacket anymore so it is actually irreplaceable. On top of that, my text, voicemail, and email records show that Clean Chic Cleaners is unfit to do business.
