Thank You, Hunter [redacted]On 4/20, Monday; [redacted] called me about doing some work on his property i.e mulch & weed removal. On 4/23, Thursday; I went to [redacted]'s house to measure out the flowering beds and give him an estimate on  his property. I quoted him $1,500, he was out of town so I called him and left the estimate in the mailbox.On 4/27, Monday; [redacted] left a voicemail saying he had a few questions and wanted me to call him backOn 4/28, Tuesday; I called him back and talked about everything that was going to be done and he asked  if I can do it for $1,200, I said $1,300 and we settled on that. On 5/2, Saturday; Three other people and I show up at [redacted]'s, at 8:00, as spoken on the phone. We  started with removing weeds and edging out the flower beds. At approximately 9:30 [redacted] and his wife  leave the property, but before leaving they pulled up to the curb to talk to me. [redacted] went on to asking me  about doing the bushes and I said that we did not talk about that over the phone but I'm willing to do it if  your willing to pay, he agreed. He also asked of us that if we have any extra mulch that we do the back  yard as well (never talked about or quoted.) I said we will see what we can do. The mulch arrived at about 10 am. We then started laying some mulch as well as we were still edging the beds and weeding them. At 12:04 I texted [redacted] informing him that I would need $1,625 to complete the job because he wanted the  bushes trimmed and his backyard weeded, edged, and mulched. No ReplyAt 1:41 I texted [redacted] informing him that we would be done at about 2:30. No Reply.I proceeded to call [redacted] twice at 2:28 and 2:38 to be paid for the project as we had completed it. No  Response what so ever.  I then proceeded on with the day and went back that night to collect payment. We talked and walked around the property and he asked about mulching a bed on the side of his house that was severely overgrown and couldn't be made out into a bed. I then said I can bring some bags of mulch on  Wednesday when I come to cut the lawn and take care of it. We agreed for $1500 total with the additional  work and he wrote me a $1,000 check. I proceeded to put it in the bank on Monday (5/4). I took pictures of the completed job.On 5/6, Wednesday; I went over to do the mulch bed on the side of the house, normal like any other bed, edging, weeding, and laying the bags of mulch. Completed and knocked to speak with [redacted] came out and we spoke about how weeds were coming through and what we were going to do to fix it. I said I could look into a weed killer that will kill the weeds he has. He also informed me that a year ago he had someone do his mulch and said he had bad mulch with weeds in it and weeds came through everywhere. I then said I will go to Landmark and look and see what I can get. He also mentioned that when I come with the weed killer he will give me a check for the balance of the job for $500. He also mentioned to me that money is tight and that I'm "the next one in line to have to wait".  On 5/8, Friday; I was informed that the 1st check for $1000 was returned for Non-Sufficient Funds. I called [redacted] and left him a voicemail informing him about the check.On 5/9, Saturday; I went to [redacted]'s at about 5:30 to apply the weed killer granule, and pick up a $500 check for the balance of the job- but did not get funds for the $1000 NSF check.On 5/10 Sunday; I went to his bank, Woodforest National Bank, and tried to cash the check, twice. No good. I called [redacted] informing him about the check (recorded) Voicemail. I texted him to confirm he received my voicemail, he said he wasn't aware I was going to cash the check that quickly, he said he transferred the money that afternoon.On 5/11, Monday; I cashed the $500 check. I then texted him wondering when I can pick up the $1000 in cash for the bad check he wrote. No responseOn 5/12, Tuesday; I texted him again stating that I texted him last night wondering what time Tuesday I could pick up the cash. He replied with when the weeds are under control and figure out what we've lost, then and only then will I decide what to do.On 5/13, Wednesday; through the direction of the [redacted] Police Department I mailed a certified letter with a return receipt request following the [redacted] Police Departments template for dealing with bad checks.On 5/15, Friday; he texted me saying he was filing a complaint and notifying the Revdex.com after he received my letter.On 5/17, Sunday; at 11am I went over and pulled all of the visible weeds on the property, then proceeded to spray weed killer on all of the flower beds, obviously not directly on or near the plant base. Took pictures of job. No dead plants.  On 5/18, Monday; I went over and sprayed the flower beds once more. On 5/22 Friday- followed up/checked job and took pictures. No weeds visible. No dead plantsOn 5/24 Sunday- Took additional pictures. No weeds visible. No dead plants. Was never shown or given proof of dead plants from [redacted].
