Clean Slate Tax

I called Clean Slate Tax when my Social Security was garnished in 2019 by the IRS for taxes due in 2006. OUT OF THE BLUE -- NO prior communication from the IRS! JOE responded to my urgent situation immediately with a detailed course of action and helped me "settle down" to handle the situation. After 2 long years taking care of family through life-threatening medicals, I was so tired, I did not know if I could do it -- but, with Joe's guidance, it is HANDLED. We had the IRS on our backs for four years until we called Clean Slate Tax and Joe P. With Joe and the Clean Slate Tax Team we now have three months left on an agreement with the IRS and will be debt free. Great company. Dont play. They do just what they promised.

It is interesting on how the recently good reviews are available, however, the complaints state that the details are unavailable. I reached out to this company for what I know was a challenging situation (back taxes). However, they assured me that they would be able to help. Their suggestions and recommendations were unreasonable such as purchase a new car, liquidate my 401K, etc., and it was dragged out for quite sometime. Then when I inquired and asked when they planned on moving forward, they rescinded the options but told me it was changed based on my circumstances. I asked for a refund for a deposit that was made that I was originally told would be returned back to me in full or a portion if either I decided to not move forward or if they could not move forward. I was then told, that too much time had lapsed. Too much time had lapsed because of them!!!

Joe P and his team are amazing. They helped me with a $10,000+ tax issue that I have battled unsuccessfully for year. They handled the entire negotiation and even filed my needed returns. If you have any IRS issues, Call him today.

We were getting threatening letters from the IRS due to unpaid back taxes. Our paychecks had actually been garnished. Clean Slate Tax got us on a comfortable payment plan with the IRS and all garnishes and liens released.

While I certainly hope no one ever has to use a service such as this,Clean Slate Tax took the sting out of it. They were professional while maintaining their humanity. I was very pleased with each rep I dealt with,they explained the steps involved as it went along. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of tax help. More than fairly priced. CST was honest, helpful, thorough, reasonable and available.
Joe P listened patiently to my issue, eased my concern and offered immediate help. Always available for questions, promptly and thoroughly responded. Very reassuring.They also explained fully how they do things before taking action. You always have a choice. No pressure. Reasonably priced, empathetic, knowledgeable and confident. I worked with this company (Clean Slate Tax) to get resolution on a very large and old tax claim from the ***. Joe P and Joshua K were relentless in keeping in touch with me through the process. At the end, I was able to get an offier from the *** for less than 1% of the stated amount due when I started. I would recommend this company to others. It can be a slow process, but that is more about the Federal Government than this company.

It is interesting how all the previous reviews for this company, which has been around since 2013 according to Revdex.com, have disappeared. It seems that CST refiles, changes their co structure, address, and/or incorp info every few years and that clears all the previous reviews. So much for the Revdex.com system.
Now, please know that Joe P. is the only one at this company who will call you at any time and on any day of the week - - CST needs to make sure they never lose this employee, now if only you could duplicate him. Do not ever have the unfortunate misfortune of speaking with the President of this company. Avoid him unless you like to be yelled at (my experience).
I hired CST to resolve an IRS issue and while they did start to resolve the matter, it was never "fully" resolved. I ended up having to "fire" them (though they were paid in full for work never completed) - I'm having to hire another company to resolve my issues. CST never gave me a status update, yet collected their FULL fees as soon as possible from me (within the first 2 months).
Disappointed in what service was provided (except for Joe P.) and can not recommend this company. This has been my experience with them.

Clean Slate Tax agreed to assist in completing my 2015 Taxes including negotiating Penalty Abatement, Negotiating a Settlement, etc. They did nothing to help me. They will not return calls or letters.
