August 26, Dear [redacted] , We are writing this letter in response to the claim made by [redacted] regarding a pair of pants that she claims to have been damaged at our facility [redacted] brought several items for cleaning at our store located at [redacted] *** [redacted] , MD ***As [redacted] has mentioned, she has been using us for her cleaning for almost a year nowAs a longtime customer, she might already be familiar with some of the procedures we follow in handling customers' cloths. After receiving customer's cloths, the first step we follow is to thoroughly examine cloths for any defects and damagesIf we come across any defect or damage, even a slightest one, we call the customer immediately and let them know about itWe do not process a defective garment unless the customer knows about it and tells us to go ahead and clean itIf we don't get a response from the customer, we keep the defective garment separately and process the rest of the clothWe let the customer know about the situation when they return for a pickup and give them a refund for the payment they made for cleaning the defective clothWe followed the same procedure in [redacted] caseOur employee called [redacted] and left her a messageThe defective pair of pants was kept separate and when [redacted] returned of a pickup, the employee told her that the pants had a defect when we received it and we tried to contact her to let her know about it- [redacted] said we never called her and she wanted to speak with the managerWe tried to contact her several times afterwards to resolve the problem but we couldn't reach her nor did she return our callOn August 22, immediately after receiving the claim letter from Revdex.com, we attempted to reach [redacted] She didn’t answer so we left her a voice message stating that we wanted to discuss with her about the claim she submitted to Revdex.comThis time, she returned our call after a few hoursWe kindly explained to her that we had indeed attempted to reach her several times to resolve the issue but she didn't answer her phoneShe insisted that nobody tried to contact herWe told her we could prove that by obtaining a phone recordUnfortunately, our attempt to obtain a phone record failed as [redacted] required a court order to give us a phone record. On August 23, 2014, we contacted [redacted] again and kindly explained to her that the process of obtaining a phone record was more complicated than we expectedEven though we still maintain the fact that we didn't damage her cloth, as a good business practice and courtesy to our customers, we offered to pay her a total of $($which is the maximum payout per out store policy for any damaged garment plus $which is a refund for the payment she made to clean her suite)She agreed to accept our offerHowever, while we were waiting for her to come and collect her money, she surprised us by calling and telling us that she changed her mindShe said she neither want to receive the $nor discuss with us anymore but try to resolve the issue through a mediator. It is in our best interest to resolve this issue as fairly and as amicable as possibleHowever, [redacted] seems to be complicating the issueStill, if [redacted] changes her mind and accepts our offer or comes up with an idea as to how best we can solve this issue, she is more than welcome at any timeFurthermore, if for any reason [redacted] is not satisfied, we strongly recommend this pants to be seen and inspected by an expert for evaluationRegards,Hassan T

"NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED"Several months ago, $Cleaners on McColl Road in McAllen lost a shirt ( worth $38)of mineWhile $is not an expensive shirt it was fairly new and I liked it I presented the ticket when I went to pick up the shirt and was told to come back in several days while they tracked it downUltimately it was not locatedThe desk clerk stated that the value of the shirt would be taken off her pay-check, so I felt bad and let it go Well today I returned with a golf shirt (dry cleaned) I picked up last week with a large bleach stain on the sleeve The stapled ticket is still attached to the button hole indicating the # of the transactionThe same lady told me that I needed the ticket on plastic coveringI explained I remove the plastic at home because of the bulk but it did however have their stapled ticket through the button hole clearing identifying the transaction She said you still need the plastic covering ticket, so "no help for you !" Never mine I go there weekly with all my articles of clothing

Review: I have been a customer for years being that the cleaners is on my block. It is the cheapest cleaners around in my area. My wife brought in 2 polyester hand washable dresses toddler dresses for cleaning. They were accepted on my account name. These dress had no lace, beads or sequils. The receipt, with my name, that my wife got was for $50 dollars. This was the first time we had brought in dresses before. I immediately was taken back by the cost of $25 to clean a simple small toddler dress. when I went to pick up dresses I asked if this was a mistake and that this seemed very high. I asked to see the posted price list for dresses. The posted price for a dress was $8.75. I argued to no avail and they didn't let me use my credit card to pay this exorbitant amount. I offered to pay $15 per dress. And they still refused to give me the dresses. I brought dresses to a local cleaners a few blocks away and they said that it would have been $9 to clean and at the very highest $18. I needed dresses so I paid them the $23 dollars for each dress, but told them it was too high and I would report them. I didn't agree to this price. And the $25 price wasn't posted. I should have been able to pay by credit card.Desired Settlement: My settlement would be to pay $15 to clean each dress. This is very fair. And is still $6 more than the posted price. I would like a refund of $16.
