Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
No New offer made by Clear Choice

We did not take the original offer of $4000.00 because we would have lost even more money, and Clear Choice would have made more money on a car that we had put money into, to correct, so that it could pass state inspection.   (Prior to filing Revdex.com complaint)
At this time we ask that Clear Choice Auto pay $2450.76, the cost of the repairs needed to bring it into legal road-worthiness as well as the payoff amount on our loan.
The Virginia State Police has reported that this is not the first instance wherein Clear Choice Auto and Simon's Auto Repair have worked together on a vehicle, with the end result being that a car that should not have passed state inspection was sold as being legally road worthy

Dear Sir or Ma'am at Revdex.com
I am sending this letter in response to the complaint from [redacted]. We sold her a 2003 [redacted] on July 21st 2014 for the amount of $5288 plus tax, title, tags & processing.
The vehicle they purchased had previously been driven by my wife...

which at the time was 6 months pregnant and also transporting my 4 year old daughter. If there were any known issues they would have been corrected before they were allowed to drive it. The day the [redacted] came in to drive it I had to leave and go get it from my wife's place of work. They then took the vehicle on a test drive and as she wrote they took it to there mechanic to have it looked over and checked out before they purchased it. It came back that it checked out fine other then possible needing a front end alignment (roughly $75). As she said we were not able to come to an agreement to fix that because at $5288 we were at our rock bottom price. The decided that was okay and they purchased the vehicle. In that price we included an extended 90 day 4500 mile [redacted] through a separate 3rd party vendor.
We all have of our vehicles inspected by a 3rd party Licensed State Inspector. We have no financial interest in any of the businesses in which we take them. If they come back to us and tell us it needs something we fix it. We have never and will never ask for a favor when it comes to safety issues. We also do not just use one particular inspection station.
As stated by [redacted] they took it back in to there mechanic to have the alignment done and at that time they were told there were some issues. By the time the vehicle was taken in to there mechanic there had been almost 1000 miles put on the vehicle. The issues that are mentioned were not concluded that they were definitely there before the inspection. Again though, we do not inspect the vehicles, we have a 3rd party licensed state inspector at a separate shop do that.
He even came back to the dealership one Saturday and we discussed it all again. He insisted that we buy back the vehicle at full purchase price and also pay for the $1799 in repairs. We told him we could not do that. I told him we had done absolutely nothing wrong and that they even had it checked out before buying the vehicle by his own mechanic. We offered to purchase the vehicle back for $4000 which was slightly over black book wholesale and after they had put nearly 1000 miles on it.
I hope that this fully explains our side of the story. I appreciate your time.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Once I was able to locate my car, the repair shop where my car had been sitting at for almost a month told me that they were instructed to leave the car sitting there.Desired Settlement: I only ask that my car gets repaired, I have already made a payment for the car. So at this point I just wish for my car to be repaired, like I was promised.

Review: I bought the [redacted] in March and 35 days after purchase the vehicle just stopped working. Could not put into gear it was stuck in four wheel drive. I called the dealership multiple times the owner would not return my phone call. I asked them multiple times to please call me back and no one did. I was like I have even had the vehicle two months and now it's not working. Also the owner of the dealership told me that the vehicle had not been wrecked he said that not only in front of me but my sister as well. Which with further investigation it had been. I then called the dealership after having to have my vehicle towed and spending $2000 later to get the truck fixed. Needed new timing belt, radiator, water pump, etc. I called them they told me that it was not their problem and pretty much I had to deal with it. I told them that they knew prior to anyone buying this vehicle that things were incredibly wrong with vehicle. She being Mary the secretary told me that it was not the responsibility of them to fix any of these issues. I was like I have called multiple times left voice mail messages to the owner for someone to please call me back. I know that I had to sign an agreement to let them have the opportunity to fix anything before I could "sue them". So that is why I called them prior to having my vehicle fixed to give them a chance to make it right. They never would return my call and now I have almost spent $2500 to get it fixed.Desired Settlement: I just want them to reimburse me for all of the costs I have had to pay to get this fixed.

Dear Mrs. [redacted]: On March 19, 2016 our client's [redacted], came in and purchased a 2002 [redacted] Stk# [redacted]. We felt very confident in selling this vehicle to Ms. [redacted]. After a lengthy test drive she returned to the office very pleased with the [redacted]. Our General Manager Paul I[redacted] explained to her that we were able to get her approved for the 2002 [redacted]. She became emotional thanking us stating no other dealership would help her because of a recent divorce and bad credit. We felt that we were doing the right thing by helping this Ms. [redacted] as much as we could to adjust her down payment and monthly payments to meet her needs. We have only received a couple of calls from this Ms. [redacted] since she purchased the vehicle. The latest one approximately a month ago. Where she called to forewarn my Administrative Assistant Mary M[redacted] that she wasn't upset set with her. But she has had the car in her words "3 months" and it needs all this work to be done. Ms. M[redacted] stated she expressed sympathy for what was going on with the vehicle. However, reminded her that we offered to have the mechanic that our office uses to look at the vehicle. So then she would be only being billed at our dealership discount cost to help out month or so ago and she never brought it in. When our office did not her back from Ms. [redacted] we assumed that the issue was no longer a problem. Ms. M[redacted] left her a voicemail message to follow up but again no response. Review: Bought a used car from dealer. Dealer said car had been recently inspected and car displayed recent valid state inspection sticker. Car did need alignment which dealer refused to do before purchase and would not take $100 off purchase to compensate for needed alignment. 2.5 weeks after purchase car began to stall so we took car to our mechanic to have car aligned and to check the stalling issue. After purchase when car went to be aligned mechanic found 3 major issues with the car that would have caused it to not pass a state inspection in July due to major wear issues, that would not have been caused in 3 weeks. State police investigated report pending.

Asked dealer to take vehicle back for original purchase price, he refused. Later said he would buy it back at wholesale which was at a price that was not agreeable. We had repairs done to bring vehicle back into state inspection standards so if we were to sell car back to him he is getting back a car that was in better condition than when he sold it.Desired Settlement: We are simply asking to receive the original purchase price back of $5300.00. We will eat the cost of repairs made to bring car into state compliance. We do not want this car due to the fact that it was sold as a vehicle that had passed state inspection when in fact it should not have and the dealer misrepresented that information whether knowingly or unknowingly.
